I have a 2015 Lexus GS 350 all-wheel-drive with F sport package. About 1 year ago, I made the mistake of having my tires replaced at Walmart. I bought a cheap set of 4 Nankang AS-1 235/40R19 96 Y Tires with extended warranty & hazard protection. One year later, the tires had worn down unusually fast due to improper balancing and misalignment. Fast forward to early January 2020 - I was driving on the highway in Atlanta and I sustained a gash on my rear drive sided tire after hitting a small pothole. The blowout almost made me loose control of the car but I was able to pull over and put the compact temporary spare tire on. I drove back home and began to embark on the process of fixing my new tire problem. The nankang warranty protection proved to be useless and I decided that I wouldn't feel comfortable driving on this brand of tires any longer. As a result, I found myself needing a new set of tires. I initially looked on Firestone's website but I couldn't find the tires I wanted. So I got my tires from tire rack and had them shipped to firestone since they are an approved installer. My new set of good year assurance maxlife tires arrived within 5 days. I had them installed yesterday. James(store manager) took care of me from start to finish. He went above and beyond to explain everything thoroughly. Thank you for turning this problem into a smooth & efficient fix with minimal effort on my part! Some of these quick auto care shops are notorious for shoddy work and up selling. I have had experiences at other places where the oil filter was not installed correctly or the incorrect amount of oil was placed. That was not the case here!! Based on my experience, I would say that this firestone is run by competent honest/trustworthy people who will get the job done right. Looking back, I would have just called Mr James directly at the onset of my tire search and he would have been able to acquire the tires for me sooner. Talking to a knowledge/competent human will always trump the internet! I ultimately bought a lifetime alignment/balancing package after this smooth experience. Les and his team provided exceptional customer service during a unexpected pit stop in Meridian. I was traveling home to New Orleans from Nashville when I began having transmission issues outside of Birmingham. I made it to Meridian and was afraid there wouldn't be an auto shop open since it was Sunday. I called Firestone and Les took care of me and made sure I was back on the road to my destination safely. He even went out of his way to call and follow up to make sure I made it back safely. I haven't experience that type of customer service at an auto-shop before and I was very appreciative of the call. The worst place EVER. Customers waiting for hours for a half hour job. We waited three hours past our appt time and they still hadn't touched it. waiting room was packed. others had the same complaint. brought it back the next day as they asked. an hour and a half past my appt time they still had not started. terrible service. asked for oil change with synthetic blend and the guy at the counter confirmed they would do it and then they put regular oil in. oil was all over my car inside and out i had to ask them to clean it and they gave me attitude. also asked them to balance the tires and they were worse than how they came in the wheel now shakes bad at a certain speed. we called to get the tires rebalanced and the guy at the counter gave me bad attitude when trying to set an appointment again. called another firestone in another city to get everything fixed and he told us this firestone had recently lost their manager. nobody here cares about their job or the work they do read more

Went In with a Focus that would not start. I suspected the fuel pump so they swapped it out. After the operation the car still didn't start. Manager said he suspected the pump may have never been the issue and it might be the security system. After some discussion they decided to comp the labor and only charge for the part, 150k mi. car the pump was probably going. Tow truck picked up the Focus for the Ford dealer to get the security system fixed. He ended up hijacking my car to his garage, I was pretty mad about that. But he fixed my car. Turned out it was a bad positive battery cable so the car wasn't getting enough juice. I really want to give them 4 stars because the service was great they corrected a mistake the best way possible and the people seemed really knowledgable. At the end of the day I wish they would have caught the battery cable. Wish 3.5 stars was available. read more

Had an oil change done here and my air filter wasn't installed properly. It was completely outside of its housing and could be removed without taking anything apart. I also got my car back and there was McDonald's trash left in it from an employee joy riding around the block and through the drive through. I wouldn't recommended anyone going to this location and thankfully I have since moved across the country and don't have to worry about them screwing up my vehicle again. read more

I went to Firestone on North Hills St for some routine maintenance as well as an overall check up as I had put a lot of miles on my vehicle in the last year. Mark was extremely helpful, and clearly communicated the results of my check up, as well as giving honest advice about what service he would recommend. I did not feel pressured to perform any service to my vehicle, and he did not try to sell me on anything, but gave me a professional opinion of which services would be most important to the overall health of my vehicle. Mark was not working the next day, but when I brought my vehicle in again I found that he had taken the time to call one of the that day's employees, Kevin, and update him on my vehicle's situation what he had discussed with me previously. Kevin picked up right where Mark had left off, and I was provided with prompt, honest service. Everything was completed in an efficient and knowledgeable manner, and the pricing was very competitive as well. I would highly recommend this location to others who need vehicle maintenance and are unfamiliar with the area. read more

Let's just say the manager there is a pretty good dude. Son took his vehicle there for a rotation and alignment, got the vehicle back and numerous indication lights came up on the dash. Contacted management brought the vehicle in the very next morning and he personally got to work on figuring out what was going on. Then showed and explained to me exactly what the problem was. I purchased four new tires from Firestone last week. They called me about an hour I was supposed to pick my car up and told me they needed to change my filters. I had never changed them before, and it was only $40 or so; I told them to go ahead and change them. I ended up spending close to $700, which I didn't have a problem with whatsoever. What I do have a problem with is this: within half an hour of me picking my car up from them, all at once, my check engine light came on, my traction light came on, and my tire pressure light came on. I knew that new tires wouldn't cause my check engine light to come on, but I was also hoping that maybe they had tripped a sensor or something simple like that. I called and an employee named James answered the phone. He was incredibly rude, extremely short, and talked to me like I was some kind of idiot. I took the car to them anyway... turns out that James was wrong that the work they did on my car "had nothing to do with it".... they failed to reconnect a hose after changing my filters. I understand that mistakes are made, and I take no issue with that. What can be helped is total rudeness. I do not plan on spending anymore money with the Firestone on North Hills Street. read more

Good availabilty of scheduling or walk-in. Did a great job on my F150 brakes. However, I would not use them for anything other than basic tire/brake work, as they charge a $100 non-reimbusable "diagnostic" fee, no matter what the problem or work done was. Charged a friend of mine $713 (including a the diagnostic fee) to replace a fuel pump in a Dodge RAM. I checked with my local independent mechanic becuase it sounded like a pretty high charge: $400 for the same job with no diagnostic fee. I voiced my concern over the high price and, to their credit, they reduced the diagnostic fee by $20. Even so the labor charge was $50 more than my local mechanic, and the part price was was about $375. Autozone prices for the part online ranged from $75-180. Therein lies the rub: way overcharge on the part. If indeed they are paying that much after their markup, they are getting ripped off and passing it on. I'm pretty new to the area and live in the neighborhood and was hoping to frequent there, but after my friend's experience I don't trust their pricing/charging structure for advanced work read more
