Made the appointment in the morning for a 4pm alignment. Came in and the staff said it wont be done till 6pm. Then what the point of making an appointment? Such a waste of time. Employees face always have an attitude and use such an aggressive voice to talk to u when you ask them questions. Horrible customer service. read more

My visit here was absolute garbage. I first went here in January -- I used to use the Ballard Firestone for years and loved them, but they were shutting down so I thought I would try this location. That first oil change seemed like it went well but it turns out that they had cross-threaded the oil plug. As a result, when I came in for my most recent oil change, the car ended up having to stay overnight while they got a tool to rethread the hole. I did not learn this until I came to pick up my car at 4:30 (was supposed to be ready by 4) and then I had to rush to find a friend that could take me to pick up my son from daycare on time. This inconvenience was bad enough, but what was really infuriating was all the gaslighting and absolute denial of responsibility. First they tried to claim that I didn't get my oil changed from them last, and so it wasn't their fault (it was). Then they tried to claim that they had tried to call me to tell me about the issue, but when I had returned their call (only 6 minutes after they tried) they only told me about extra maintenance like getting the battery cleaned and said nothing about the cross threading issue. When I went to pick up the car and told them how I had already paid the previous day they claimed I hadn't until I told them I had proof from my credit card and they finally checked their system. And to top it all off, when they finished with my car and parked it in their lot right next to aurora, the back door wasn't just unlocked but AJAR for HOURS. It could've been easily stolen or rummaged through! I never got any apology, any sort of a discount, nothing. Just denial after denial from multiple employees AND from the manager. What a garbage place. Go elsewhere. read more

In 2018 my 2018 Toyota Rav 4 Hybred AllWheel Drive had a screw in R front tire and Firestone said too close to side wall to fix and I would need 4 new tires because it was All Wheel Drive and all tires on an all wheel drive car needvto be same tread depth. I wasn't about to replace four tires at a cost of $1100.00. I ended up buying one tires from Tire Rack and had them shave 10% of the tread off and took the tire back to Firestone and had it put on the car. The next week Mt Toyota was in for oil change and I asked about Firestone's claim a four needed replacement. I was told Hybred vehicles have a different transfer case than regular AWD vehicle resulting in no need for tread to be same depth. They said you can run 3 bald tires and one new snow tire and it will not hurt the transfer case. 4 weeks ago I went to Firestone with a low tire, the rep pumped it up 5 pounds then said, og you have a screw too close to side wall to fix, you need 4new tires because they all need to have same tread depth, I told him he was either misinformed or he was blatently lying to me to which he took offended and I said, I'm not accusing you of lying, I'm suggesting you are misinformed and need to check that information with both Toyota and your corporate heads because I have done the research. I'm the kind of guy that wants my tires to #1 match and have tread wear similar even though not needed for a hybred. So I called Tire Rack, they said go to Discount Tire, have them measure tread wear on other tires and they will save down to that tread level and Dicount will mount for $25. I went and Discount said, you don't need a new tire, that screw is not too close to side wall and we will fix it for free. They did and that was one month ago with 1,500 miles on the tire Firestone said was wasted. Discount Tires has a new set of four Snow tires I will be buying in October and will never return to Firestone where my family has been exclusively buying tires and service for the last 35 years. Kiss off Firestone where they say integrity and honesty is the cornerstone of their business. It's one thing to make a statement , it completely different from what Firestone delivers which is disinformation, blatant lies and a GREED not known in many other endeavors. I would give Firestone a negative 5 if it when below a one (1). read more

I arrived at Firestone an hour before they closed, and I needed 4 new tires (had just blown one of them out on the freeway and replaced it with a spare). They had several cars they were already working on, so they understandably told me they wouldn't be able to fit me in until late the following day. I understood, but was bummed because I had been planning to drive out east the next day for Mother's Day. Juan (mechanic) heard me say this and said that he would go ahead and take care of my car right then and there, even though he was supposed to go home. Juan's generosity and good work saved the day-- I cannot thank him enough. Chris helped me at the desk and was incredibly kind. He explained everything so well and offered me a great deal for the tires. These guys really helped me out in a pinch-- they've earned a long-term customer here. Highly recommend! read more

We live really close to this location (like walkable which is great in a snowstorm). We had a blown out tire on a Saturday night in a snowstorm. They are open on Sundays. and, yet, we chose not to go here (buh-bye Manager's bonus based on tire sales) because the guy on the phone was so unhelpful and had such a bad attitude. He actually suggested I stay home instead of coming to him to get new tires when I clearly needed new tires to get anywhere in the first place. He just really didn't want to be at work and clearly didn't want to do any work, so we were happy to take our business ($800 worth) down to Firestone Ballard. Those guys had GREAT attitudes and were immensely helpful. Sometimes you have to venture out a little further from home to get treated like a neighbor. read more

This place is the stereo-typically bad mechanic shop. They try to sell you services you don't need, and do a horrible job. I took my wife's 2006 Subaru Outback in for an oil change. The guy tried selling me belts and an air filter, when I know that they were replaced about 3000 miles before when I had the 60k mile service done at the dealership. Left with just the oil change, and noticed that the car was running a bit rough. Had the car checked out, and found out it was a quart of oil low! It does not leak or burn! I would NOT go to them. read more

I went in for an oil change because i had a coupon a week or two ago. They said I needed new tires. Even told me there was a nail in one of my tires and it was unfixable. I went home and had my father who is a mechanic check my tires and he said they were fine and i wasn't leaking air out of the one that 'had a nail.' my sister just went in today and guess what they said... she had a nail in her tire too. when she refused to pay to get it fixed they fixed it for free. Isn't that kind of suspicious? Theres tons of places to get my car fixed so I think I'll avoid this place. read more

My car died on the road and I had it towed to this Firestone car center. It was late evening, after their hours, so I left the key and a note in their slot. They called me at 8:30 the next morning and I explained the situation. They called again in a couple of hours and said the alternator was bad, which I had suspected. They also told me about a number of other minor problems that I could get fixed while my car was in their shop. I said no, and had no pressure to do more. They called in a couple of hours to say the car was done. I picked it up mid afternoon and spoke with Steven. He explained all of the repairs clearly and the optional repairs they had suggested. I felt respected the whole time and no pressure at all. This was a $600 bill I hadn't planned on, but auto repair is expensive nowadays. I could not have gotten the work done much cheaper elsewhere. The charges were fair and the technicians competent. Steven was a good person to work the service counter, friendly and a good listener. I would recommend this Firestone for your own auto work. read more

Was excited to get an appointment to get new tires installed the same day I called. I had done my research online at www.tirerack.com and knew the exact model I wanted for my Acura. They had them in stock so I was good to go. Arrived about 10 minutes before set appt. time to checkin & sign papers. Was told it would be an hour & a half so I figured I'd go kill time looking around Lowes next door then sit in Jack in The Box drinking a soda & reading my book. After an hour & a half and no call I called them and was informed it would be another half hour. :( Oh well. I was watching the local hookers working the parking lot & being amused so at least I had something to do. Went back after 2 hours was up & paid & got car shortly thereafter. I had found on line there was a rebate available for purchase of tires & an alignment but they did not mention this to me. Do your homework & find things out for yourself is what I advise. Could not handle sitting in the lobby to wait because it reeked of tires. read more

The first time I came to this location I needed to get new tires. The person was knowledgeable and very helpful but it took two hours to get a new set of tires. Flash to last weekend (approx 6months from purchase). I ran over a screw and had a slow leak. They needed to have a replacement sent in so made an appt. for replacement and oil change. Came to appt, signed in and waited. An hour and 10min later was called to the desk and told they couldn't find my new tire. When I asked why it took and hour+ to figure this out I was told they had a large staff and warehouse and that each of them looked for said tire. I would have preferred to have been given the option early on to go to a store nearby if they had my tire but I don't think anyone thought of that. The customer service folks were friendly but I got the impression this shop was VERY disorganized. They did wave the fee for my oil change though so that was nice. read more

I got an oil change done on May 23rd (sat), oil and filter. My maint required light came on the next day. I figured it was because they didn't reset the oil mileage counter. I reset it but it came right back on a few hours later when I started driving again. I go check my truck. I have no oil in my truck!!!!! What kind of place is this... I call them and all I get was, "it has to be your truck and not us".. Never going back. That simple mistake could of costed me a motor... Just came from outside, changing/fixing my oil issue. I take it back some of what I said. I checked the dip stick and there wasn't any sign of oil. When I went to drain it, I realized the problem. They only added 4-5 quarts, which is still too low. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. For a while The Firestone in Shoreline was the only place I would bring my Nissan, but I am furious about this current situation. April of 2016 charged me $660 to replace a distributor cap, something I later found out should have cost around $150. August of 2016 dropped over $1,200 on new brakes and rotors. Not awesome but necessary. Fast forward to April of 2017, and the grinding starts again. Take it in to find out the caliper's need replacing but most of it is under warranty, paid $180.00. August of 2017 belt tightened, $80 bucks, oil change $60 bucks, then in succession of about 12 phone calls later somehow my total is at $1,500 worth of work. They said none of it was absolutely necessary and could wait. And none of the work mentioned what happens next. October 2017, while driving my brakes fail completely. I get the SUV to the Firestone, I made some jokes with the Steve and Katrina which at this point I trusted and felt friendly with from all my visits to the location, but now I just feel like they used that trust to manipulate and lie to me. The next morning I was told that this time it was the back brakes that failed so unfortunately not under warranty and that the brake line has to be re-pressurized which may cause more issues down the line and the minimum I will have to spend is $1,000 and that once they get in there will probably cost more. They told me at this point I should probably just sell the car. At first I felt like this was really honest of them, but then when I came back in one of the mechanic's said he wanted to buy it, made a super low ball offer, and now I felt like them telling me to sell it was less honest. I had put the car on offer up, and an old friend and professional mechanic happened to see it and bought it. Turns out it was actually the front brakes. Which would have been under warranty. Nothing was wrong with the back brakes, just needed to be cleaned. This is not something a professional mechanic would mess up. This was a straight up LIE to get more money out of me and avoid dealing with the fact that the brakes they put in failed. My life was on the line, they didn't do their jobs, and to add insult to injury tried to swindle THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS out of me. This is fraud. And also terrible customer service from a place I once trusted. I spent thousands of dollars at this location, and thought the staff was really awesome. After this experience I feel like the staff was nice to me to make me feel comfortable so that I would believe them when they threw out an estimate. read more

I believe this store has new management, so I decided to give it a try. Mainly, I came here to replace my old Bridgestone Potenza RE960 tiees (rated for only 50K but I squeezed 65K without much of a problem). Bridgestone and Firestone are the same company, so you won't find a better deal on these tires at Costco, Discount, or the like--and certainly not the dealers! The pricing on the tires were great, especially considering they threw in lifetime replacement and free mounting/balancing. I also had some service work performed: new front brake rotors and pads, as well as routine work (oil change, filter change, alignment). The brakes don't squeal anymore, and the car just seems to drive very nicely. I think I can get another 100K out of this Honda after all! I'm happy with the quality of work and pricing. Ask for Brady, I think he is the manager and also a Seahawks fan. read more

Easy, usually same day appointment. I've had a few things done to Previa here: valve cover gasket the most serious. Open on weekends is a plus. Oil changes, belts, tires. Get 10% off when you use a Firestone CC. Update: I replaced the Previa with a Sienna (mistake) and took it to firestone for a front brake rotor and caliper bracket issue. It took 3 or 4 trips to this Firestone to get the problem (probably) repaired. The extra trips are annoying, I'm not sure if its Firestone or my car to blame. What I will say is that I am impressed by how they have stood by their work to redo the repair a few times for no extra charge. I can tell my numerous returns piss them off but they are reasonably polite to me as I return time and time again to get this brake issue fixed. read more

I went there to get a new tire. The person on the front desk told me how much it is going to cost. I saw that there is a discount going on and when I asked him about it then he added that discount (Ideally they should add it even before the customer asks). I felt that the charges are high even after the discount and asked him to show me the charges. Then he started explaining & showing me about all the charges and some of them I didn't even need it. So I decided not to get my tire replacement done here. Why should anyone assume and add charges without customers consent and explaining them? I really felt bad for other customers who doesn't ask questions and get charged. I see in other reviews that people had similar experience. I am not going to this place ever again. read more

Dishonest and shady business that does not honor their warranties. I've been a repeat customer for the last several years. Came to replace a flat tire that I was told was under warranty when I dropped it off. Later, they called and said it wasn't the same tire I purchased the prior year because there was no patch repair on it. The prior tire was never patched, it was brand new last year! Hence the warranty. Then they said, well someone must have rotated it. This is the only place I've bought tires or had them rotated, so that didn't add up. Long story short, they charged me for a brand new tire again after telling me when I dropped it off it would be under warranty. They even had the gall to try to charge me for another warranty on this new tire, even after I told the guy I wouldn't be coming back ever after today. Terrible business practices and dishonest staff. Stay far away. read more

My girlfriend took their car here because of check engine light. They took in the car and did a smoke test for $100 without notifying her. Ran the smoke test nothing was wrong and then they advised the simple solution of changing a gas cap and doing what is a free check at autozone or checker to see what the error is. (There is a device that links into cars that describes what error is going on based off a specific code-available for general purchase too) The saddest part was the justification from the front desk worker saying "you should have expected that, bringing in a car with a check engine light" This turned out to be a learning experience, but it's sad that this place didn't call her to tell her what was going to happen or what was being charged. My end recommendation,if you go here, is to make sure you write out that they call you before doing work (specifically if you drop your car off early in the morning) read more

We went here because it was near our house and we'd always had good experiences at Firestones before. It wasn't immediately obvious how shoddy their work was, but we kept having all kinds of random problems occur after they worked on it. Unfortunately, a few months ago another member of the family agreed to have them "replace the fuel system" after we'd taken it in for a routine service. It was totally unnecessary and afterwards the "check engine" light was on all the time. Firestone told us the light was on because coolant was eating a hole in something and we needed to give them several thousand more dollars. I asked a friend who works on cars, and he said that's not even physically possible. At that point, it was obvious to even me that we were blatantly being scammed. Later on, we had to have the oil filter and fuel filter replaced because they'd installed them incorrectly. They also damaged other parts and we had to have those replaced, too. Last night, after filling the tank, we saw gas started leaking out of the car. Why? Well, according to a reputable repair place, the hose to the gas line came off because *it wasn't clamped.* I don't know anything about car repair (obviously), but even I know a hose needs a clamp to stay on. I guess it's lucky we were parked when it happened. Oh, and after the hose was back on, the "check engine" light went off. So...incompetence or deliberate? You decide. I think it's telling that when I told this story to several friends, they laughed at me for going to "that Firestone" in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I want so badly to like this business! I have Firestone tires and the alignment package but don't take my car here for oil changes because it costs $50+. Either way, when I bought the tires and then the alignment package, I did so to take care of my car and make it last. The people who work here are nice but man oh man, are they NOT time efficient! I've made appointments online for tire rotation and alignment and was made to wait over two hours to get my car back. I was then told that calling to make appointments would give me a more accurate wait time. So I called and made a phone appointment and after two hours I had to have them stop so I could make it to work on time. That two hours of waiting only gave me a tire rotation, no alignment. But silly me, I did it again. TodayI made a 10:00 appointment, this time for just a rotation (since that takes two hours, evidently. Side note: that makes it so it takes them 30 minutes per tire just to move them around). And here I am waiting at the 90 minute mark and my car hasn't even been out up on the racks yet. Sigh. I just can't win with you Firestone. Les Schwab tires for me next time. read more

I know, I know, how good can a chain store really be? I can't speak for the other Firestone's in the area but this location is AWESOME. The staff is super friendly and informative. I went in once thinking I needed some major work and they discovered it was actually a minor issue (break pads out of alignment), they fixed it and had me back on the road in less than 45 minutes! How many mechanic will talk you OUT of spending money? I've been using them for all my vehicle maintenance ever since. Really refreshing to see that level of honesty. I'm only giving two stars to this business because of the lack of organization and proficiency of the workers. I don't bring my car to mechanics to make friends, luckily for me the guys here are not of the "friendly" variety. I sat in the store here for 45minutes today trying to get charges approved through my fleet company, despite sitting on the store 30mins this morning doing the exact same thing. I bring my car to this location EVERYTIME I need repairs done to my vehicle more by circumstance than choice. It's conveniently located to my house. HOWEVER, what troubles me the most here is the lack of communication. In my time there I sat and watched the phone ring repeatedly while still in business hours any no one answers, I watched a lady walk into the business inquiring what time the placed closed and the response from the employee was "we've been closed" which didn't answer her question at all. I was disappointed to see the lack of customer service of the Firestone employee. Although I spent close to an HOUR. Waiting to pick up my vehicle the employee told me that since the order was put in wrong on their system, now I cannot pick up my vehicle until the AM. Which basically mean they have now made THEIR problem a problem for me. Which of course in my opinion is unacceptable. As far as the work they perform on vehicles I can't complain. But the employees here seem to have a poor work culture and it shows a lot. These guys either need more help in the workforce at this location or some intense customer service training to help them deliver a More customer positive experience. People can get their cars fixed anywhere but the residual customers will continue business somewhere their time is is valued as much a as their money read more

I made an alignment appointment this morning for 3pm and showed up on time just to wait 2 hours for them to do nothing. I called this morning to make an appointment and was told they were clear all day but I made an appointment just in case. When I showed up just before 3 I was told they were very busy. Since I had made an appointment I didn't think this would matter, maybe an extra 20-30 minutes which wasn't a problem. I sat and waited for 2 hours until I saw my car being backed out of the parking spot. I asked the guy at the check in desk what was going on and he had no idea. He went back and checked and said it had been taken on a test drive. When I asked why it took so long he kept saying they were very busy and that he had done me a courtesy making me a same day appointment. I was basically told that my appointment did nothing. He just kept saying they were very busy and wasn't able to explain why I wasn't informed that it would take so long to begin work on my car. I told him I wanted my car back and that I would be taking my car somewhere else and would be making a complaint. His response was 'Sure, go for it'. I will not be bringing any of my cars back to this location again. read more

I don't really have good things to say or bad things to say about this place so I feel like giving this place 3 stars to be neutral. My car had been making weird noises the past couple of days and today the 'check engine' light came on. I swore that I had taken it in for an oil change not too long ago so I didn't think that was an issue. Some friends and I had gone down to North Plains, OR last weekend so I thought maybe the long drive might've triggered a belt to come lose or something.. anyway, I recently moved to Capitol Hill so I had called the location on Westlake and in Ballard for an appointment but both were busy. I used to live in the Northgate area and have taken my car to this location for oil changes a few times so I figured I'd call to see if they had openings. The guy on the phone said they'd be able to help me out, without setting an appointment so the boyfriend and I made the trip up. They gave me a complimentary check up, since I had told them about the weird noises and me thinking it was a belt issue. Turns out my poor car, Big B, had no belt issues but she was really really thirsty (yeah, my bad...) and needed an oil change. Anyway, they have always been helpful for what I went there for. No extra friendly-ness and no BS either. Though they haven't tried to sell me extra services, I've learned in the past that these places are always going to offer those extra services - you just have to be the one to say yes or no to their suggestions and stick with it. read more

Another 1 star review for this location. I've purchased a couple of sets of tires here before, but they've lost my business going forward. I dropped my wife's car off at 4pm Saturday, with a set of tires I wanted swapped onto her wheels. They said they'd do it first thing when they opened at 9 on Sunday. I called at 10:30, they weren't done, said they needed an hour. I went over there at noon, and they still hadn't even started! They gave me some BS excuse about how they were short staffed on Sunday, yet there were 4 other cars on the lifts. I was also comparing their prices to Tirerack.com, and they're at _least_ 50% higher. If you want high prices and poor service, this is the place to go! read more

Thankfully, I read reviews after I used this Firestone location. I can only share my experience, which was spot on. I needed snow tires on Christmas Eve for my daughter's car because she would be driving and I was worried about her safety. I call Christmas Eve morning when they open their phones. Steve answered and said they close at noon (most tire shops were closed the whole day). He also said he didn't have any openings. It is 8 am and going to snow. I figured that would be the case. Then I said I understand; I was just worried about my daughter driving in the snow. He then asked what kind of car/tires I needed and when they didn't have them in stock he asked to call me back. Shortly, he calls and says he found the tires and get the car in and they will do it for me. She got tires that day! Amazing service for me. read more

I called in to scheduled for an oil change, fall checkup (tire rotation), and wheels alignment and even went by Steve's (front desk person) suggestion to pay extra $ for high mileage oil change when I brought the car in. But when I picked up the car the tire rotation was not done as stated eventhough I was told it was until I pointed out that I've marked the tires for proof. I have, again, waited for the tire rotation process. After I drove home I found out it is still pulled to the left as I've mentioned when I called in for the appointment and when I brought the car in for service. I was told to bring the car back for wheels alignment process....wow. This time the car did not pull and the steering wheel is centered. With this, I am pretty sure that the alignment process was not done the first time. Now, I am questioning if the extra cost for the oil change was done propertly. I just can't believe how they tried to tricked their customers and this is fraudulent and unexceptable. read more

I brought my car in because it over heated on the freeway and I needed to find out why, they said it needed a new thermostat and a heat sensor.The price quote is about 500 dollars. My friend who is a mechanic gave them a call because that is really high for a thermostat. Then they dropped the price to around 300 and added the heat sensor for free and offered to do a coolant flush as well..He said there was a miscommunication between him and one of his technicians and the price shouldn't have been that much.. which is sketchy. But my car is there and not driveable, so I did it. Then they tell me my front outter tire rods are bad and I need new ones.. The price quote for that was around 600! I care about my car so of course I'm concerned so I go around to get price quotes for that issue and the highest price quote I got from other places were almost 60% percent less than what they quoted me.. wtf is wrong with these people. They seem way more concerned about making money than genuinely trying to help people out when there car brakes down. I will never come back or recommend this place to anybody. Honesty goes a long way. And too top it off my car was covered in coolant from it over heating. (Not their fault) they said they would clean it up and be sure it got cleaned up. Went there for an oil change about 35 minutes prior to their closing. Was told they will not be able to do it today, suggested me to make an appointment instead. But the car I took in was one of my relative's car who didn't have her oil change done for over 2 years. And car is running strange and the engine just die from time to time. I explain the situation to the guy at the counter. The guy say still...can't do it today. So I left...but I was not able to leave due to the engine had died again right in their parking lot. He is finally like...ok ....bring the car over and we'll just fill in some oil for now and it should at least run. It turn out he was right..there was almost no oil left. He probably added 4 quarts of oil to the engine. And car started and go. When I ask how much I own them. He said it was no charge. But he suggested an appointment for other issues (cause check engine light and other light is till on) I declined the request cause the car normally was fine and running with those lights on. But I can understand of course they want to earn some business. They are not doing it for non profit. But yes, I will bring my car in next time if I need oil change or possibly a new tire. read more
