I met my husband and married in the church, and later celebrated the lives of my parents when they passed away. It is my family. What I most love about it is the spirit of inclusivity displayed by the pastors and membership, and the dedication to community service. This congregation mentors me, and the worship services educate and motivate me to keep using whatver gifts I have to be a blessing to others. The church offers two worship services -- one traditional and one less formal -- both with outstanding music. The theology is Bible based. The volunteer director helps new members get plugged in to church life via small interest groups or church service. It's a big church with the friendliness and feel of a small church. I travel a lot so in-person worship and Sunday School attendance is often impossible for me. Thanks to FPC's commitment to technology, the worship service can be livestreamed, and many of the educational classes can be attended on zoom. I love the church's commitment to reach out to those who are working or traveling or unable for whatever reason to attend services in person by offering these options of online participation.
