I came to Happy Acres Cowboy Church to attend a funeral service. Prior to today's visit, I had no…read moreidea Kiefer, OK is a small town just 25 miles outside of Tulsa. I am not sure if this church happens to be located in the most rural part of Kiefer or Kiefer is just that rural. When I arrived in front of the non-descript building, I had to double check to make sure I was at the right place. The church is certainly not a traditional church. Attached to the chapel is a rodeo arena which serves the local population. Everyone attended seemed to know each other apart from a few individuals like myself. On their website, they have a potluck-style dinner on Thursday night service which is nice. The dress code for the service today was very casual though.

well, we went to this church with high hopes after watching the lead pastor, Rod Baker preach…read more Regrettably it appears he has stepped down and allowed the church to be taken over by his son-in-law, and the move of the spirit has left the church. We found out that the new pastors are reecievin coaching from A prosperity preaching church in Texas. All they seem to do is try to recruit you to help them and try to attempt to get your money. It is really a shame because the people there are so nice and friendly. The pastor and his wife, however are not. there are so many talented and spiritual people that have left the church and we had never figured out why. they have recently been many families leave, and it's because of the new pastors and the toxic behavior they exhibit behind the scenes. Such a shame they really seem to have to offer is giving away. Free groceries and lots of good presents around Christmas time. We hope they have a change of heart and get back to spirit lead worship, and preaching from the Bible. the building is nice for being in a shopping mall but again the Holy Ghost does not appear here
