I had two unrelated medical issues that were identified by the nurses who made sure that I received the MD care that was needed. I spent 16 days at LHRC. The nurses are highly qualified professionals with different backgrounds (including ER). Support staff are dedicated professionals. I asked a CNA why she was working a LHRC. She replied, "I like helping people". OT and PT personnel designed exercise programs to get me physically functional again. The activities director came by to get a sense of my activity preferences. Her assistant came by every day to drop off info and chat. LHRC offers a shuttle service to take residents to their MD appointments. The wound care MD is on site once a week for wound care needs. All employees whom I met were cheerful and positive. I recommend LHRC for skilled nursing care.

I'm also hoping that it can help others. I've had a recent shoulder injury, and throughout the mammogram, I kept telling the technician that my shoulder was hurting terribly. I was really uncomfortable. It wasn't until the very end of the procedure that she finally asked if my shoulder was okay. I just nodded yes, but the truth was, it wasn't okay at all, and it still hurts today. I wish the technician had listened more carefully when I was telling her about my pain. If someone is telling you they can't push their shoulder down, please listen. I still think that AI is the place to go for all of my mammograms and MRIs. In the future I will be more adamant.

I moved my arm off of my stomach thinking that maybe that was the problem. I concentrated on holding as still as humanly possible and breathed shallowly and made sure not to swallow when the imaging was being done. At the end, knowing there had been issues I asked him if he got what he needed. He said yes and thanked me for my cooperation. When I got to my specialist in Helena (90 minutes away) for my doctors visit, I found out that my images were blurred and that the most critical areas for what I have going on were unreadable. My doctor thought that maybe their magnets were going out. He called them asking for a redo and even though he talked with them for 15-20 minutes they refused. They offered to charge me for a whole new MRI and sedate me. Gee thanks! That's great - especially since I'm self pay. Why didn't they start over and sedate me in the first place if they thought that would help?! This is not good customer service! This is not good business! I hope they have some competition here at some point to keep them honest and accountable. I would drive to Billings (2+) hours away next time. I am very disappointed. The tech was kind and I wish I did not have to give him a bad review. I'm sure it is his higher up to blame more than it is him. My doctor talked to the man who wrote the report, so he would be the one to blame.
