I went for there band class which was a lot of fun. The room looks like a disco dance floor. Great music and instructor. A combination of strength, weights and aerobic dance class.

Maybe it's the membership options which in my opinion were very confusing to understand however, it is to be noted your first class is complimentary and I did not feel rushed or talked into a membership at the end. Also, this studio is part of Class Pass so, you can experience this energetic, engaging, challenging cardio workout with Class Pass Credits. My instructor Cal was upbeat and very knowledgeable with incredible skill in dance as well as a loud, carrying voice for conveying the moves well. He broke down the class in easy to understand sections and offered variations as well as, didn't judge when I had to take breathers since my cardio endurance isn't the best. The class I chose as my first free class was a class labeled straight "DANCE" on the schedule, opposed to dance and bands and circuit classes. I liked the format of this class because it was cardio heavy with 3-4 longer dance bursts to learn choreography that was compiled together at the end to learn a proper combo. The in-between sections consisted of strength training and stretching exercises that Cal taught to the class in his awesome peppy demeanor! He kept us all active and engaged all class. I found this class a great deal challenging and definitely would go back with my class pass and try it again.

It…read moregave me the opportunity to see how awesome their classes are and what results I could potentially get! The first class I went to was a barre class because I had always wanted to try one....and I loved it! I didn't go to any other type of class lol Each class is different. They might have some of the same movements but never in the same order and definitely varied. Going to those 5 classes I was able to be instructed by 3 different women and they were all great. While telling the moves and how to do them they are also shouting encouragements and praise that make you want to keep going. And I'm serious when I say that I've never sweat that much in any other workout class I've taken. It's awesome. The facility at Mission Farms (where I went to all me classes) is very nice. Big room so lots of space. They have three sets of lights which I thought was pretty neat. Red for warmup. Regular for workout. And blue for cool down. Nice restrooms and water fountains with the bottle refill part. They have a day care room for some of the classes so moms can bring their kids and still get in a workout. In the front lobby they have lots of merch for sale. I would love to continue taking classes BUT their prices are a bit steep for me. Perhaps if they have a sale or maybe I could get a pass for myself for Christmas. Oh! And if I read it right on their site you can try out your first class for free! So do yourself a favor and try it out!

But a recent Yelp Event let me check out Fusion and whoa was it hard! I left with that endorphin high and knew I wanted to try more classes to see if it was a good fit for me and my goals. Now I'm four classes in and I really like it! The energy during the classes is amazing and I'm usually dripping sweat and sore for a few days after-- something that I love from a work out! I will say it is sometimes hard to hear the instructor giving the moves over the music but I can typically figure it out within a few seconds. They have three locations which really helps with finding the right class that fits depending if it's the weekend or if I'm catching a class on my way home.

Seriously challenging Lagree workout (in the best way)…read more I've now taken two Lagree classes at The Body Lab in Leawood while in town for work, and WOW. This is not a casual workout. For context, I'm a regular reformer Pilates attendee so I'm used to resistance training and core work. Lagree here absolutely humbled me. I was sore for days! the good kind of sore where you know the workout actually did something. I believe my instructor's name was Veronica and she was phenomenal. Clear cues, strong presence, and very attentive. She offered helpful corrections and encouragement without being overwhelming. It felt structured and intentional, not chaotic. The facility itself is: * Super clean * Bright and modern * Well maintained * Easy to navigate Check-in was simple and smooth. The vibe overall was welcoming and not intimidating. They're beginner-friendly but still deliver an advanced-level burn if you're experienced. I love that they also have a Prairie Village location that's on ClassPass! I'll probably book there next time to save a little money but I'll absolutely keep coming back whenever I'm in the Kansas City / Overland Park area for work. I'm tempted to try their heated yoga class, but I'm heat-sensitive and might pass out otherwise I would! If you want a serious, effective Lagree workout in Leawood or Overland Park, The Body Lab is 100% worth it.

I've referred so many people to Body 20 however when ! canceled my membership with the general manager as my schedule didn't allow me to come in twice every week they continued to bill me $400/month. I had to call/text every month and had to wait over a week for a refund. For some reason 5 months after I cancelled they re-instated my membership without any notice or authorization to do so and charged me $400 twice and when I called to get it refunded they showed no urgency and after 5 days the $800 has still not been returned or even initiated on their end. The General Manager - Carson's response was "I recommend contacting your bank directly" however my local credit union has told me it hasn't even been initiated on their end. I should add that I have several years of banking management experience and the moment they initiate the refund and it processes in their system the receiving bank would see it as pending and the receiving bank could hold it for 3 days. I think Body20 is great however it's not a very affordable gym and would definitely use your discernment with their billing system as it has been a persistent issue and the staff is very attentive to you until it comes to billing or mistakes they made.
