I would highly recommend the caregivers at First Coast Senior Care. They were so caring and compassionate to my mother at the hospital and during her recent post-hospital stay in rehab. The rehab staff was so busy, it was a comfort to have these wonderful caregivers there when she needed them. This was an unexpected situation. With a quick phone call to the owner Christine Yancey on a weekend day, we had assistance immediately. It was such a relief to have these caring and compassionate people there with my mother when she needed some extra care. We were there a lot, but with the help of this great company, my mother was able to rest and know that she was being watched over. Professional and concerned. First Coast R & R employees are caring & attentive when assisting us on our trips to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. They go above and beyond expectations to make sure we are safe & comfortable. We use our car as it is easier for us and our rollators or wheelchair. Christine, the owner impressed us when our driver forgot to clock in when she arrived at our house. Chris called us to make sure the driver had arrived, and we were not stranded at home. We knew then that First Coast R & R is the right company for us. read more

I wish I could give First Coast higher, because I did really like my caretaker. She was very kind and sweet Those first couple of weeks she was there. If not for her great personality, I would be giving them one star because, I nearly lost my life due to my caretaker "calling in sick" on what was the single most important day I would ever need assistance. The importance of this day, April 19 was known ahead of time! And no substitute was sent. What's so reprehensible is that the owner, Chris, bragged incessantly about the perfect attendance and on time arrivals of her team. Like another reviewer mentioned, I felt they required too many hours (Both per shift and week), I went ahead and chose them based on these promises that they were indeed expensive, but were hands-down the best and most reliable. And yet, not even a month in and there's a no show. It would be inappropriate To mention all of the specifics here on Google**, I can honestly say, and my friends, family, neighbors, law-enforcement, airport and hospital staff can all say it is a Miracle I'm alive. The incidents of that day and the chain reaction over the next five days brought harm, suffering and expense to many people. More than a couple of lives and relationships are permanently altered. * * I underwent a medical procedure 2 days before and had Stronger than anticipated side effects that left me with some amnesia along with intense head and body aches. My caretaker was there that day and very aware of this. Also, Due to an unrelated illness and disability, I am required to take 12 medications a day in a very regimented way, which is quite a challenge on any normal day due to the disability. This was one of the main reasons why I hired First Coast in the first place . Add mild amnesia (kind of like an early sudden Alzheimer's) , Difficulty preparing food eating, and drinking: And you've got a real Health Hazard. I was supposed to have another / Follow up appointment with the hospital that morning which the caretaker would have provided transportation for. I'm not sure which happened first, I went ahead and canceled that appointment because I just wasn't well enough or my caretaker called in sick. I'm not sure that part really matters but there's one last really important piece of information that EVERYONE knew: April 19 was the 1 year "anniversary " of my husband's Extremely traumatic passing. Under no circumstances, Not even in my regular health, should I have been left alone. Maybe it's too much to ask friends to take off on workdays, So you hire what supposed to be the most reliable Help at a hefty price tag, Everybody thought the morning was covered. My husband and I met with Chris, the owner of First Coast Senior Care in March of 2023 to see what services they offered. This was for our 96-year-old mother who lives by herself and in case anything happened. We were very impressed with her professionalism and caring. A year later mom fell and fractured her wrist and required 24-hour care. We immediately thought of Chris and after the call she jumped into action and scheduled a truly excellent team. Mom has enjoyed all of the ladies she has met and tells us constantly how nice everyone of them are and how exceptional they are at what they do. Everyone has arrived on time as scheduled.
