Thank you Sportscare for significantly decreasing my back pain by correcting my pelvic alignment…read moreand increasing my hip strength. I've been suffering with back pain for over 3 years. Initially I went to PT at Brooks and had awful experiences (my copay was outrageous plus I was billed extra afterwards, 15 mins of my 1 hour appointment was spent unsupervised on a bicycle "warming up," I saw a student as frequently as I saw an actual PT, nothing was explained to me, I didnt have progress evaluations, and I never had hands on therapeutic massage or manipulation.) So needless to say I was skeptical to go to PT again when my new primary care doctor recommended going to Sportscare. I am beyond thrilled for her recommendation. I wish I knew about Sportscare years ago. Frank my PT was phenomenal- he always took his time to evaluate my problems and explain everything to me. I learned a ton of new exercises which I can expand upon and continue to progress, strengthen, and improve. The hands on therapeutic massage made such a difference when I came to PT in pain. In the 6 sessions I went I made incredible progress and this is the least painful I have been in years. Frank also helped me do a running assessment so I can improve my stride so I no longer reinjure myself when I run. The facility is clean, quiet, and always on time. Plenty of easy parking, and thankfully my copay was very reasonable. They have pretty reasonable hours too. If you need PT or weren't happy elsewhere give Sportscare a try!

Brooks Rehabilitation has the long standing reputation for being the best place for Physical…read moretherapy - bar none. Each location is staffed with multiple doctors who specialize in various aspects of PT. This location specializes in sports injuries. Being located with the YMCA is sweet. They encourage one to follow up with a healthy lifestyle. They also share a small headed, indoor pool for aquatic physical therapy. Which is the bomb for us in LOTS of pain. They even offer a free month membership to the YMCA after one is healed. And the YMCA has a sliding monthly payment for us poor folks. One can even apply for financial assistance for an even lower monthly membership. The pool and locker room are terrific. One might as well enjoy themselves as they recover from an injury.

Everything runs like clockwork, however I do find I am not always brought back start on time. It's usually about a 5 minute delay. The staff are usually multi tasking, which is fine by me. I don't need someone over me. My therapist and I work well together. He's very nice and intuitive the exercises or stretches I need. They share the facility with YMCA. I don't use the equipment within Brooks. I use the pool. It's getting remodeled Mid-Sept 2018, so hopefully that will look good. However, it's not Brooka so it doesn't effect this rating.

I started with Dr. Yurio and after a few sessions of physical therapy ordered an MRI. Turns out I completely tore my ACL and part of my meniscus. I was presented with my options and ultimately decided to have surgery to repair my injuries. I was transferred to Dr. Kaplan and he again presented me with my options. I decided to continue moving forward with the surgery. At no time was I pressured into having the surgery. For my lifestyle and health it made sense to move forward. Fast forward to surgery day - The surgery center is in the same building and is well maintained. I was introduced to several people who would be participating in the surgery and each one confirmed with me why I was there. It was clear patient care and safety was a top priority. Follow up appointments were a breeze. They email any paperwork required prior to the appt. And after check in the most I ever waited was 5 mins in the big waiting room or in the actual room. I saw either the PA and Surgeon during these appts. Both were professional and never made me feel rushed and felt comfortable asking questions. I was in and out in less than 30 mins from check in to check out. I had a positive experience from start to finish with this group of Dr.s and would recommend them. There are several Dr.s with different specialties available. I did see one of the foot Dr.s several years ago, can't recall his name, and did not have the same positive experience.

Or they may not even be at the desk. They hate their jobs and you can tell. Awful awful awful. Management has got to step in. Now Elizabeth the PT here is amazing. From looking around, and seeing the other Therapists I would say she's the absolute best. The other therapists are young and don't have any patients hardly ever. I think there are 3 good PTs here and Elizabeth is definitely one of them. Seriously, Elizabeth is amazing. I would only go to her. Only. The management really needs to do something about the younger therapists and front staff. It's bothersome. They're arrogant and if they don't want to be there they don't need to be. It ruins everything there. I see them work with people and they are not happy. This review would be 5 for Elizabeth. Front desk staff ruins it.
