Customer service chat doesn't work and customer service in general is rather unhelpful, especially since the email hasn't worked in a couple of months. The hours are troublesome to anyone with an 8-5 job. The bank would seem fine to anyone who only wants to put money in and get loans, other than that I would not suggest it.

Not EVERYTHING can be done online. I had been banking at the Moody AFB branch of the Armed Forces Bank, which admittedly had the advantage of being open for many more hours than most banks. In fact, the bank's hours matched the hours of the main Base Exchange store. But that branch closed and no other branches of Armed Forces bank are anywhere close to Valdosta. Therefore, I immediately switched to Southeastern Credit Union and have been happy with the decision ever since. My thanks to the Moody AFB branch for all their help securing an auto loan refinancing ... specifically to the current Manager Rhonda Walker, her assistant Scarlett and the teller Tonia. I was with Bank of the Ozarks for many years. I never could get a loan with them as long as I was…read morewith them. I tried to open a separate checking for bills, etc and I did. However, they waited until it was open to let me know that if I didn't use the debit card tied to it a minimum of 8 times in a month, I would have some crazy fee. Now mind you, this account was created solely for the purpose of paying bills, it was not a typical checking account so I had no plans to use the debit card at all, only pay bills online. Then, I went in to change my address. The boy working only changed the address on 3 of the accounts, and had forgotten one. I later found out they tapped into my savings account to charge me a fee for the returned mail, because they were sending me confirmations about my address change. I called them and asked them why I had to pay because they were sending me mail and had used the wrong address? I got nowhere. I eventually got sick of fees being charged every time I turned around. So, I cleaned out my account and now use Capital One for everything. Now, I couldn't be happier. This was nearly a year ago. My Bank of the Ozarks account is at Zero, and they STILL refuse to close my account. They keep insisting that I call the 800 number. Bank of the Ozarks is terrible and has gone downhill in so many ways. I will never go back to banking here.
