I just gave birth to my second baby girl and I couldn't have done it without Gina. I didn't have her by my side for my first birth and it was beyond traumatic. This time I decided I needed a Doula and I am so glad I chose Gina. She coached me and my husband through the contractions and was a calm, safe presence for me throughout my labor and delivery, as well as throughout my pregnancy. If I could only give 10 STARS! I have used Gina as my doula in my home birth and it was the best decision I made as a mother to be, a wife and a woman. Gina has provided me with confidence, comfort, security, information, a sense of ease during the labor time. She studied what makes me feel good before the labor and then applied her experience, knowledge and what fitted me personally at the time of birth. When I called Gina, telling her that I'm going into labor she came without hesitation, she did not "took her time", and even though she was about 50 min drive away, it felt like she was there faster. My labor took quite a while, she was fueling her self, and taking care of the rest of us as well. After the labor she didn't leave us until she made sure that I feel perfectly comfortable, that I'm clean, and nourished, she washed all the towels and clothes from the blood and folded them back into my closet. I was SHOCKED to see her level of service and I didn't even expected it! It was overwhelming and I have never seen this level of standards. She is extraordinary in her level of commitment. I also took Ginas hypnobirthing course which was led in a very small group and with plenty of adjustments for each couple to go by how they believe a home birth should be for them. Gina will lead you into the experience your looking forward to have or she will recommend and inspire you into a way that you may have not think about. She has the perfect balance of the person that is assertive enough to take charge on the labor procedure and also to let go when the mother is asking to do it her way. What else can you ask for?? I was so un happy to read one negative review that I found over Gina and I couldn't believe that this can actually happen, but I also know that sometimes people are looking to blame the unfortunate situation that they experience on someone else.. not taking responsibility and that's a shame! Using Giana services will bring you to the labor that you want. That's my promise. Also, I didn't use Gina for my second labor because of what she tout me in my fists pregnancy, I felt so confident to give birth to my second baby all by myself with my husband- that's how powerful what she teaches. Also, she took beautiful videos and pictures of the birth without even letting me know which ended up being the best memory I have from my birth.. and I had a professional photographer that I hired, but Ginas videos were amazing, I'm so grateful for that, she has all of this benefits (other than just tell you how to breath!) I had a great experience through my pregnancy, birth and post partum phase with Gina. She's professional, knowledgeable, skillful, resourceful, experienced, caring, kind, understanding, patient and reliable. She's not only a doula but also a Blissborn instructor (Preparation class for birth based on hypnotherapy), craneosacral practitioner amongst other skills and gifts. Gina helped me prepare mentally, emotionally and physically for my home birth in water. She was always responsive whenever I had an enquiry and she was accesible except when she was attending a birth, of course :) When I went into active labor, my husband called her and she showed up within 20min. As a lactation consultant I have received invaluable support and advice from her as I had to navigate some challenges with breastfeeding my baby. I can confidently call her the breastfeeding ninja for her skills in lactation. Having her with me throughout labor was incredibly helpful, she helped me to stay calm and confident, I found strength through her confidence; she knew when to call the midwife, she guided my husband in what needed to be set up in our bedroom for the water birth. Having Gina as my doula was a decision that I will never regret. As a first time mom, I didn't know the importance of having a doula until a friend of mine whom I trust insisted that I hire one. My baby nearly died and had to be resuscitated because of both Gina and my midwife's lack of good judgment and professionalism. I had worked really hard to offer my child what I thought would be the most loving and peaceful birth. What was supposed to be the most beautiful day of my life turned into the worst nightmare I could ever have lived!!
