The location is hard to find at first. The entrance is in the back parking lot, for those who get easily lost like myself. They have a beautiful outdoor setup for fellowship and coffee, tea, and light snacks. They also have a condensed version of their store to purchase merchandise. The worship and word was great. My only gripe is (like another Yelper mentioned ) they don't enforce mask wearing, which I thought was shocking since we are in the middle of the omicron surge. However, a few volunteers did wear masks.

There was no entrance fee for the festival, but on Saturday night, they had a band performing and there was a $10 cover per person to go in the seated area. We didn't know this until the end of the food line after we paid - we went to go in the ballroom but were told we needed a ticket by someone outside the room. It wasn't really clear that there was any seating available other than in the room with the band, so we did pay the cover since we got so much food and needed to sit, not sure exactly what the entertainment was. The band was fantastic and lively, so we didn't necessarily regret it, just still a bit of a steeper price than entrance for any other cultural festival that also comes with live entertainment and just wasn't made clear from the beginning how it worked until we already had our food. Very cool to see the community go up and dance with the band. I love that in Brickell we have such a culturally rich and diverse institution open to the community.

Seeking to turn a new leaf, I followed the advice of both Tatyana C and a non-Yelp friend who had great things to say about this church. I'm not going into a theological discourse, but what I like best about Unity in contrast with the religion of my upbringing is it's emphasis on positivity and how the connection with God / Higher Power / the Universe can worked with to better oneself. Unlike a traditional church, the "altar" looks more like a concert auditorium, the membership is diverse, and the minister seems approachable and human. The sermon doesn't feel like you're being talked down to, either and the meditation is refreshing and relaxing.
