After listening to all their "bank speak" and all the mental gymnastics they put me through, I closed my account. Generally speaking, the reason someone would bank with a local credit union is too avoid the "ick factor" of larger banks. I would strongly encourage any readers of this review to AVOID joining Sunlight Credit Union especially the branch in Cody.​​

I went in with my father and a large pile of paperwork thinking it would be a bear to get an account opened here on a Saturday morning. Instead, after a short wait, the branch manager Clarissa helped us to open an account, and introduced us to the tellers who helped us make a deposit and test out the bank debit card to make sure it worked. The bank is also located in what was previously the Shoshone First National Bank office, a very nicely maintained building. Sometimes things are not what you expect, even at a big, usually-annoying bank like Wells Fargo! Hope to go here more often!

My wife and I have used US Bank in Cody for ten years. We run two businesses through them and have several personal accounts, CDs, loans, etc. Even before we had many assets with them, they knew us by name.
