Stopped for mass on our way through on a winter Saturday evening. Drove past it at first because…read morethe design appeared more Lutheran or Episcopalian from the outside, but don't be fooled! It's definitely Catholic. A simple setup (non-distracting though) inside. Heartfelt homily, though it used a modern parable I tend to hear at least once per year. The priest seemed welcoming and sincere. The cantor had an absolutely lovely singing voice. One interesting thing to note: A fellow with dreadlocks was playing some large horn outside until mass began. A dijeridoo? Not sure. The stereotypes of Cottage Grove tell me it's where the fed-up real hippies from Eugene go to escape all the wanna-be hippies, and this confirmed my stereotypes ;)
