Got to try First Watch the other day! Staff was friendly and outdoor seating was nice but overall, kind of a lackluster meal experience for me unfortunately. I had the eggs Benedict and eggs were overcooked. So it was like boiled eggs Benedict lol. This is the second time I've experienced this at a restaurant, so I'm officially on a mission to find the best eggs Benedict in Houston! If you're reading this and have a suggestion, please message me. I'm all ears! Beyond that, there was way too much ham on the Benedict. Hollandaise and bread weren't bad but potatoes were way too salty. My friend also had potatoes and said the same thing. On the positive side, we did end up trying the blueberry cornbread. That was delicious with the butter they gave. Not sure if it was a honey butter or maple butter, but it was pretty good! Also, there was an incident where some food dropped on the floor by the staff. While they picked up the cup, they never actually wiped the food off the floor, which kind of bothered me. It made the area kind of messy and I didn't understand why no one came around to clean it lol. In the future, I think they should quickly clean up whatever mess they make when the staff drops food on the floor. Still not a bad experience. I've been here a couple of times already and realized I haven't made a review! Whenever I think of going somewhere for breakfast or brunch-- immediately my brain goes to First Watch. Place is always relatively busy but never had I had to wait to be seated, which is great. I got the Hash Skillet (Farmhouse) this time around and it was delicious. Portion size is more than enough. I love how they have their seasonal menus as well-- I got the Watermelon Wakeup and it was very refreshing! First time trying First Watch and I'm impressed! We were lucky enough that we showed up and there was no waiting line so we were seated right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. The menu has many options for all kinds of eaters which I liked. I went with the healthy Turkey omelette. Definitely very good and tasty. It was light yet hearty breakfast. Went for lunch. Ordered the turkey club with broccoli cheddar soup and daughter ordered waffle kids meal. Had nice servers. However when food arrived, soup was warm but cool enough for my 1 year old to eat. Not only that, when eating found a large clump of "old cheese" in it. Prob wasn't old but it's the top of the soup when after sitting a long time, gets dry. I wouldn't have put that in someone's soup. I would have thrown that away. But that didn't stop me from eating. What did stop was a piece of plastic from the bread or a package that was in my sandwich. Ruined my meal. So of course I stopped eating and didn't allow my daughter to finish her food. I get it, it happens. But just from what they did with the presentation of the soup I couldn't trust they pay attention when preparing food. I will not be going back to this location. Came here at an hour that I would normally be sleeping. It was very nice to see the place so empty when I got there. We were seated with swiftness and the waitress was very accommodating and responsive. I've always seen First Watch as a modern day "Denny's" and the facility is very well done. Food is always good and well portioned out. I got the Tri-Athlete bowl and it was beautiful and high in protein which left me satisfied at the end. Coffee is practically never ending. I HAD IT MY WAY!!! I've dined at First Watch in the Fairfield Cypress area in the past and it was a horrible dining experience. I absolutely hated it! However, my son suggested this particular location to have breakfast, since our family had been up late toiling over the lost of a loved one. Customer service was great! The hostess and the host that greeted us at the door were highly welcoming. They opened the doors for us as we walked up and greeted us with such beautiful warm and welcoming smiles! If you know me well, then you know that I love the "Royal Treatment" when I'm about to spend my money in any establishment. It's not necessary, but it's a nice and kind gesture that goes a long way with me. Our server Tesha, was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. She was also helpful towards me and my sister as we were having trouble understanding the menu. She suggested the Trifecta breakfast and we both were pleased with her suggestion, especially after we received our food because we enjoyed it to the upmost! The food was absolutely delicious! As a matter of fact, it's better than Burger King! At last, I've found my love! Furthermore, the restaurant was nice and clean. The dining area is spacious and plentiful. There's also outside dining in case the inside becomes overcrowded or if you just want to enjoy breakfast on a beautiful "Sun-Shiny Day." The overall ambience was nice and quiet. However, we arrived early on a Sunday morning around 9:00 am. There were a few early birds already lurking around getting their grub on. It began to get busy around 11:30-12:00 noontime as we were finishing up our meal. The ambience began to slowly grow from silent and peaceful to noisy and boisterous. Overall, this was a highly enjoyable dining experience for us. Customer service was great, the establishment was nice and clean, the ambience was peaceful, and the food was served hot and delicious! Came here today to catch up with a friend for Veteran's Day. It was raining today, so we decided to go indoors for some good food here at First Watch. I parked and noticed that even though a lot of cars were in the parking lot, there was still plenty of parking, especially near the doors since it was raining, which is good for a girl like me who spent time on hair and makeup today. We ran inside, and as we ran I looked up and noticed not only was there a covered entryway, but there was a hostess holding the door open for my friend and I (major points to this employee/gentleman for this small detail of above and beyond customer service). We were greeted and instantly seated in a roomy booth for us to comfortably enjoy our meals and chat away. The waitress greeted us within minutes and she poured my coffee right away and got us waters. The menu was packed full of a variety of delicious meals for all breakfast and brunch foodies. They had everything from pancakes, to scramble skillets, soups and salads and even oatmeal and juices for our healthy peeps! I loved the variety especially since I am not so picky this morning, but my friend has to eat a certain way and even she found food to satisfy her tastebuds. We were both glad for the selections. After we ordered, our food came right away and was hot and fresh and smelled so delicious. Our waitress made sure all requests we made were fulfilled quickly, even while managing several tables. The restaurant was clean, nicely lit and inviting. Definitely check the menus and board when dining in. This location use to be The Egg & I (RIP). In fact they still use the same Wait-list app that they did and the business name displays The Egg & I on the app if you get in line at the restaurant. If you want to get on the Wait-list before arriving you have to go to the Closed Yelp page for The Egg & I. Weird. Inconvenient and annoying so I deducted a star. Saturday April 6 Through this experience, I am changing the rating to reflect how great of the managers from corporate handled this situation. After my last visit on Sunday March 29, my mom had contacted a number received that was a apparently a corporate number written on the our receipt. A man by the name of Brandon picked up the phone and my mom just tore him up on the phone. Surprisingly he was calm and was understanding. I finally had the chance to take the phone away from my mom and spoke to Brandon myself. I forwarded my info and in between talking to him and writing a long upsetting review, I get a call from Darrell. Darrell introduced himself as the director of operations. Turns out he read my review just 20 mins after I had hit the submit button, while driving and had to pull over to stop and read my review. Darrell was very genuine about how to make things right. Very understanding in making my mom happy. Great conversation over the phone. And I really liked how immediately he handled the situation in calling me after receiving info from Brandon, as well as reading a detailed yelp review. We made arrangements to meet the following weekend April 6 for a brunch to meet in person and to make things right. We came around 10:30am and right off the bat, I was instantly greeted by Darrell himself. He had a table ready for us and our server Hussain had a radiating smile. I assume the staff heard of our experience and I could tell service was quite different if never spoke up. Darrell took the time to greet my mom and just sit at eye level and actually talk to her. I appreciated that. I let her talk and say whatever she needed. After all, this was for her. About 10 min later another manager came out. I didn't catch his name but he definitely made an appearance to apologize and shake our hand about last week's experience. Our food came out and once again, it tasted fantastic as a few weeks back. As I scanned the restaurant, I can see a difference in attentiveness of staff. Checking on tables, I can see managers greeting tables, smiles... Quite different than 2 weeks back. Right before Darrell left, he greeted us one last time. Again, genuine of his words and showed compassion. Definitely a great way to start the morning. I usually love first watch, especially this particular one. However I wasn't impressed this time. We went around 10:30 on a Thursday and they were a little busy but they still sat us a little fast. Our server seemed like he was rushing a little bit but he was sweet and attentive as best as he could be. After our food was dropped off he sort of disappeared. My main concern was with the food though. I always get the skillet market hash and it's my favorite. However today, the potatoes were burnt so were the onions and mushrooms. I tried to talk to my server to maybe get another plate but again he seemed busy and was nowhere to be found.
