After being seated we waited 45min for some Benedict eggs which literally were served RAW with sauce on top of it. The mugs for the coffee were dirty and had to be replaced 3 times. They run out of mugs and started to put dirty mugs back on the dinning room. Waiter no where to be found until was time to come and collect the check. Do not go to this place, specially on the weekends as you will turn something that is supposed to be pleasant into a horrible ordeal. read more

First at this location in Birkdale but not my first time at First Watch. We were regulars when we lived in Ohio. So very excited when they finally came to NC! We got right in (gotta time that for that to happen) - our waiter seemed clueless to the menu since it had a ton of new items we were unfamiliar with but we assumed he was new and doing his best! His service was great otherwise! One MUST try their veggie burger I devoured it! Moist "meaty" like prob due to mushrooms n just delicious. The salad is just greens dressed in lemon juice but it had NO lemon juice lol so asked for more on side and was brought a lemon vinaigrette which was delish! Arrived at 9am on a Saturday. We were seated and our server came right over with water and took our drink order. The coffee was delicious and they leave a pot in a thermal container for refills! There were so many breakfast options and lots of healthy ones too! I got the turkey egg white omelette and it was so flavorful. Admittedly judged this place for being a chain, but it has great food and reasonable prices. The service was great. The place was slammed by 9:45am but they have a waitlist you can join online! Our server was great . Our food was very disappointing. It came out cold and no flavor. We were expecting something so much better.

The best part about this meal was the fresh seasoned potatoes. When I tell you those potatoes are the best they are a most. The waffle and the bacon was good, but not like the potatoes. The bacon was a little to sweet for me. The services was great very friendly. It's a busy restaurant not some where to go if you want quiet. awful experience every single time! they will literally lie to you about the wait time. this has happened to me at least 5x. they constantly have a 1 hour wait and tell people it's 15 mins. I was looking at 2 tables clean and ready to be sat at for 30 mins and still never got sat down. the food is good once you get it but the staff and management is beyond bad. read more

My friends and I decided to tried this place for the first time. The juices were great with the boost shots, we got the donuts which were really good. Our server Brenna was great. She was a bit overwhelmed but we understood. We all ordered the pork green Chile hash dish. One of our plates wasn't fully cooked. The eggs were to be cooked over medium. Only two dishes came out good. The 3rd plate had raw egg. I wish I took a picture. My food took over 12 mins for it to come out. The kitchen were really slow. We were told the manager was also cooking. They may have been under staffed in the kitchen. They did comp my dish. One last problem was the water we asked for. We saw some stuff floating. We decided no to drink water. But we did enjoy the food & refreshing juices they had on the menu. The prices were very reasonable too. I would come back to this place, I would recommend. I just hold they get their staff together. This place has potential. Recommend going early to available to rush crew. read more

Horrible experience... after enjoying first watch restaurants when visiting our son and family in VA, we were thrilled to see one come here. WRONG ... horribly run operation...stopped here at 1pm on Sat... empty 1) Wife wanted iced decaf coffee... told "we don't make that" ... Really... how about offering a decaf and glass of ice? Waitress had no clue. 2) 7 minutes later she brings our water and my soda.... YES we have had time to read your menu. 3) I order skillet... wife orders club sandwich... "I am sorry we stopped making those for today" .... Paid for soda and left in pure disgust. (Side note... had to ask for to go cup for $3.29 soda she just brought ) ..... Came on a Saturday morning and they were busy! Ordered the healthy turkey omelette without tomatoes. Asked for a side of greens instead of the usual tomatoes. The greens came w/ dressing on top. The meal also came with a side of toast w/ options of butter & jam. Wonderful service and atmosphere. I appreciated having the carafe of coffee and jar of water on the table for our own refill. We had such a good experience here! The wait was minimal, and our waitress was great. The hash was delicious. I got the market hash. I thought there would be more veggies, particularly the spinach and zucchini, but it had really good flavor overall. Wife and I met a friend Friday morning at the Birkdale location. Friend was already there with menus. Waitress bought coffee immediately. Food order came quickly. Wife's sunny side up eggs perfectly cooked, pumpkin spice pancake large and fluffy. My Italian omelette with salad slightly overcooked but good nonetheless. Waitress checked back frequently. So I don't like restaurants with the whole LosAngeles/Davidson Quinoa Cleanse sh*t going on, so I was a little leery of trying First Watch. When we were offered a sample of Kale Tonic after sitting down, I immediately starting complaining to my wife. HOWEVER, after I stopped my hissy fit and gave their menu a try, I was very pleased. Our server, Autumn, was awesome and helped me find something that fit my personality (meat, cheese, carbs) and the Chorizo omelet was good. That toast with the apple jam stuff was great. And when I ordered a cup of coffee, they brought a pot along with it (bonus points for that). And for those who actually eat the healthy "food" on purpose, my wife said the Pesto Bowl was fantastic. read more

I am only giving 2 stars because I felt terrible for our waitress who had no control of the situation and was very polite. Otherwise it would be a 0-1 star. We love First Watch and eat here often in Florida. I understand this location is new, but not new enough they don't have the issues worked out to some extent. We put our name on the wait list online, which initially said "no wait time," but then changed to 45 minutes once I filled in my information. We waited at home and then left to give the 45 minute quotes timeline. As we checked in, the hostess told us "you're table will be ready in 45 minutes?" Umm... what?! ‍ After finally being seated 1.5 hours after our quoted time, we were notified there was no orange juice available for mimosas. Then upon ordering, told the salad we wanted was not available. Finally, after changing our order, we waited over an hour for food. Eventually took our daughters pancake to go and canceled everything else. Very disappointed and will not be coming back to this location. read more

Although the food was tasty, the lack of service was rough. I understand under-staffing issues, but this was not one of those days. My friend got there before me, had a table but had not been able to even order coffee. While we were waiting to even order coffee, another group came in after us and was served drinks and food before we were able to order! I had to get up and track someone down several times. We've been here twice. Both times our servers were so polite. Both times they've not had mimosas when we've tried ordering a mimosa. Our servers have been so nice and quick to offer a substitute of grapefruit juice and brut rose. I'm just confused as to why there's not orange juice at a breakfast spot. There's also no Bloody Mary, one of their juices, million dollar bacon, turkey, or any liquor. And that list is just of the items we tried ordering. And our coffee mugs had dried up coffee in them. We were really surprised to read a bunch of mediocre reviews for the Huntersville First Watch, because we love it! After discovering it recently, we returned for breakfast at least 6 times in the past month! Our favorites are the breakfast sandwich (such an amazing elevated version of a classic brekky sammy), the breakfast tacos, chicken sausage patties, and the delicious (gigantic!) pancakes. Our favorite server is KIM - she is awesome!! Everyone there is very nice - although not everyone is as attentive as Kim. We have never tried the lunch menu but we will continue to return for breakfast over and over!! read more

This has to be the worst first watch I've ever been to. The service is terrible, the food is always delayed by "problems in the kitchen", and the order never comes out as expected. Either there is an error in the order or some part of the order does not come out. When you tell the check out person (after they ask you how things were), they just shrug in indifference. I am very disappointed with this place. I placed an order on line and picked up my breakfast. The bag was slapping and when I got to work half of my order of food was missing. I called back to the restaurant and the manager refused to give me credit for half of the food as they did not put in my bag. Take ownership manager for your employee mistake and take care of your paying customers. You suck and I hope it was worst it taken my money and only give me half of my food that I had paid full price. I will call corporate and that is okay with you and getting a bad service. Our 1st visit after they opened was GREAT ! Eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked (I asked for soft boiled eggs NOT runny whites . Waiter even gave me a cooking tip on how it was done ! Returned this morning and ordered Eggs Benedict again and made same request for the eggs to be cooked thoroughly not "slimey". Very disappointed ! Eggs whites were not cooked and everything was COLD . Salad greens had a slight sprinkle of dressing and were used to hide the uneaten eggs . Husband's burrito was steamy hot and very good ! Coffee is good . Something is going on in the kitchen and Management needs to fix it to stay competitive ! We will not be going back for a $34. Breakfast anytime soon ! read more

Food is good but customer service needs improvement, to say the least. I came in and made a to go order. After 20 min, I saw a to go bag sitting on the front desk. Five employees were standing there chatting. I figured it was a door dash order since no one called me over. After another 10 min, they finally decided to look and gave me the order. I'm all for chit chat if there's nothing going on. However, employees should pay attention to their jobs. This is not the first time this happened.
