They offer some health conscious items with nutritional information, fresh made juices, many coffee/tea options and some alcoholic beverages. This is not a quiet place--general noise from people as well as music that was rather blaring considering the general noise level. If you're an oatmeal person-- this is your place.Steel cut oats served with banana, bananas, and strawberries, brown sugar and a side of milk to make it to your consistency/liking. The multigrain pancakes are huge, fully cover a dinner plate. Several options such as carrot cake, and pecan and warm syrup. Prices are (sadly) typical as prices now are higher. Most are $12/order. Add a drink at $5 and tip and you're at $20 real quick. Worth trying and coming back. read more

Do not like they decided to extend their seasonal menu to March this year. Kept waiting for a change as nothing in the current season menu impressed me or was not that good. Look forward to it changing roughly every 10 weeks not almost 6 months. A lot of the daily things have gone downhill and not as good as they used to be which is why I limit going anymore and only when they change the seasonal menu. I came here for brunch after church with a friend after vowing never to return after a particularly bad experience a couple of years ago. This time was a much better experience: the food was excellent and the service was prompt and courteous. I had the Shishito Brisket Hash and a Bloody Mary. The Hash was tasty and delicious - I loved the addition of the yummy pickled onions! The Bloody Mary was OK - the best part was the giant piece of sweet bacon used as the garnish. I don't know if it was because there is new menu items, or my mood was just better, but man. we were IMPRESSED. A really great breakfast place! Everything about our experience there this morning was so enjoyable. We were seated quickly, our server was prompt, and got right back to us with steaming hot coffee. Our food was served piping hot and fresh. Our server, Megan, checked in a couple of times to make sure we were doing well. I had the lemon pancakes they were so delicious; the lemon curr is amazing. Brought my mother her for breakfast after running errands in the area. It was a weekday morning, so no line and sat right down. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with the menu. Only the second time I've been to a First Watch. I ordered the Classic Benedict. My mother ordered the pancakes. Thr eh came out pretty quickly, impressive. My Benedict was good but had to ask the waitress for more hollandaise sauce. Looked like a teaspoon full only on top of my eggs. It was good but the muffin was barely toasted. Not the best but I still enjoyed it. Just missing a little taste in the sauce. The grits were good but way too much cheese out in there and overpowered the grits. Mother enjoyed her pancakes. First Watch is a pretty reliable spot for us to get breakfast or brunch. The food is always good and they have gluten free options I feel happy about ordering. Often I get the gf French toast, but on my last visit I ordered the "frittata rustica," which has mushrooms, tomato, onion, fresh greens on top, and a piece of toast (the gluten free toast isn't an up charge, crazy!!). I feel good about eating this meal, it's not heavy but it doesn't lack in flavor. I also had their "million dollar Bloody Mary" which is their Bloody Mary with a big piece of "million dollar bacon" in it (bacon candied in brown sugar, maple syrup, and pepper). Great breakfast at First Watch today, I've been to this chain in other states but this was my first time at the NRH location and it was great. Service was wonderful, coffee comes in a carafe which I appreciate for self pouring as often as desired, same with the water and food is a quick turn around. My only complaint would be the undercooked breakfast potatoes, the flavor was tasty, but the middle of the larger cuts was slightly raw and they needed to be cooked longer. The one thing this location did special was when dining with children they have a separate utensil roll for kids with NO knife! This consideration for parents and safety of little ones is very much appreciated. I found this location to be clean, the staff is wearing mask (that's a plus too), food is fresh, coffee hot and staff on point. read more

I decided to bring my mother here on Mother's Day, as she also enjoyed it, being my +1 at the Houston Yelp elite event. I was shooting for brunch and checked online to see how long the wait would be. I called and was advised to download their app and get in line virtually. Worked beautifully and we were dining shortly after arrival on a busy holiday. Service was great even though they were so busy. I really like their juices and avocado toast. My mom really likes their juices and bacon. I ordered quinoa blueberry pancakes and they were yummy and made me feel good because they were healthier lol. If you've never tried First Watch, I'd go at least once. We went around 145(they close at 230) didn't feel rushed at all. Servings are large. I got an omelet and it same with a salad(lightly dressed and the dressing was very good) the large grainy toast was also delish.. I am always up for breakfast not matter what time of day so I didn't even look at the lunch menu. They had a lot of healthy options and the prices are reasonable considering how large the portions are. I actually can't wait to be back in the area and go again.. Our waitress, Jenny, was really great. Very energetic, friendly, & gave us super service. But... We put our name on the waitlist. We got a text confirmation & it said 20-30 minutes. When we arrived 15 minutes later, we checked in right away & were told that it would be 20-30 minutes! I reminded the hostess that we had already been on the waitlist for 15 minutes. She said - "Yeah that starts AFTER you check in." I asked, 'What's the point of the wait list, then? 'She answered, ""Honestly, I don't know," & laughed a little. (??) Luckily they weren't too busy and it wasn't too long. We were also wondering why there was any wait since there were open tables everywhere. We had breakfast, which was sadly not great. The bacon was so overcooked, it was like a potato chip. Scrambled eggs were also overcooked, dry & disappointing. The biscuit was not golden, but brown & dry - too much time in the oven. First Watch is highly repeatable, serving breakfast and brunch in a nouveau country atmosphere with great service. The first time I came to First Watch, I thought it was a local place. The concept is understated, avoiding the heavy-handed, country clutter of Cracker Barrel, achieving an ambience that mixes aged wood beams, metal and tile with large stenciled signage. The result is a lightly countrified vibe for post-moderns. The food matches the design, with health and keto-minded American (new) flavor collisions friendly to the socially conscious, the health-minded eater, and anyone who enjoys delicious food. I've had several breakfast selections in the past and enjoyed all of them. Today we came at lunchtime, so I ordered the Roast Beef & Havarti sandwich with the greens instead of soup (too hot a Texas day for tomato basil!). The salad was an effort on my part to eat well, but I gobbled it happily: Arugula with a lemon vinaigrette that was just right, light and flavorful. I didn't miss the absence of other vegetables. The sandwich was hearty and tasty. Parmesan crusted sourdough filled with juice roast beef, horseradish Havarti, roasted onions, tomato and more lemon dressed arugula. MMMMMM! At first, it appeared slightly small. But, with the greens I was completely satisfied. I also had coffee, another reason I didn't want soup. The house coffee is fruity and robust. My brother ordered the Baja Turkey Burger and loved it. Service has always been strong here in my 3-4 prior visits. They close at 2:30, making them a true breakfast/brunch chain. I have been to First Watch many times, and this location a few times--but this particular experience was outstanding! All night and all morning it has been storming and bad weather/gloomy outside, and people's moods tend to kind of match the moody weather, I've noticed around here. But everyone in this restaurant was so kind and friendly while we were there! Our server McKenzie (sorry if I spelled your name wrong lol) was so lovely. She went above and beyond and made sure everything was perfect for us and the food was so good! I accidentally spilled my coffee across half the table and the manager jumped up so quickly to help wipe the table down so it wouldn't spill on me and got on the floor and scrubbed the floor down himself.
