Was not disappointed, got in at the prefect time around 8.30 in the morning.Quite a few tables were taken but there was still plenty available so the wait time was almost nil- good thing for us. I took half and half all day lunch with the tomato basil soup and salad. The menu said that salads came with a toast, so I asked for it and Kevin promptly got it for me with one side nicely buttered. My partner got his omelette plate. Kevin was very cheerful, friendly and ready to help. I would give his service 10/10. Neatly maintained, ambiance is simple yet welcoming. The bill can be paid at your table with a QR code, or at the front desk, these are the only 2 options. QR code payment is the new thing catching on.... technology ! Quite a few vegetarian options. Listen- First Watch was my first stop when my brother in law wanted brunch and I'd been at this location when it first opened. I was excited to see this chilaquiles breakfast bowl since I've had the dish in Mexico, Texas and I've made it myself several times.... The service was slow. 1030 on a Monday morning, it was pretty busy and they're seemed to be a good amount of staff, but still a wait on things and repeating requests. When this playe came to the table- I should have sent it back.... The black beans were room temp and had zero flavor- i think that's where the extra liquid came from. I asked for my egg over medium- did NOT get that. The chips and sauce itself were ok..... My cousin and I took our kids to eat a late breakfast on Sunday around 11 am. It was very busy and the wait was as expected. Our server was nice. I ordered the biscuits & turkey sausage with scrambled eggs (gravy on the side). My kids ordered the French toast with turkey sausage & chocolate chip pancake with turkey sausage from the kids menu which also includes a drink. The biscuit was soft and fluffy. I'm usually hesitant on gravy which is why I requested it on the side but I ended up finishing it all! The potatoes were cooked perfectly. The kids also enjoyed their meals. Substituted the meat for an extra egg since I always get the million dollar bacon as a side (comes with 4 if you do it like that vs 2 if you use it as your meat side). I add pecans to my pancakes and honestly... It's really good. 8/10. I wish it was buttermilk pancakes. My stars come from what I ordered. I have taken my family to this First Watch a few times. I could take it or leave it, but they love it. The girls absolutely love the chocolate chip pancakes. When we order them it has to be with no butter because that apparently ruins them. My middle daughter has tried the biscuits before, but they aren't that great, kinda dry and she doesn't like the crumb of them. So, she doesn't ever try anything but those Chocolate chip pancakes. The little one will sometimes get a waffle if she's in the right mood. She seems to really like those too, just with no butter. My son will usually get the pancakes with eggs and bacon. He can't get their fried eggs because they never cook them enough. He doesn't like it with they're too runny. So, he sticks to scrambled eggs now. He has also complained that the bacon is never crispy. They are known for soggy bacon. I share that thought with him. The bacon is never cooked well. It reminds me of precooked microwave bacon. Which actually gets crispier than the bacon they cook here. The coffee is hit or miss too, sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's super bitter. I don't know. I don't want to come back here but these kids like it so, we will probably be back. The service is usually always ok, but it gets so busy on the weekends. I usually never want to wait that long for a mediocre breakfast. It's five of us, so we always end up waiting a while. It's cooling down now so at least we could wait outside. I'm not sure if I have rated a place this low. None of the food was worth a picture. The potatoes were super soft almost like boiled potatoes but I will say it was seasoned fair. I got the elevated egg sandwich it was served with the yolk on the outside of the sandwich which was off to me. There is only 2 pieces of bacon on the sandwich so I orded extra from their side menu which was the Million Dollar Bacon. I'm pretty sure, if not the bacon, something on it was expired. I took one bite and my stomach immediately went into sour mode and I could not finish the rest of my food. I informed the waitress and she stated she told the staff and she removed tge Bacon from my bill. The service was not that great. I do not remember the waitress name because I don't think she told us. She didn't have a name tag on so we couldn't see it later. I asked for water and coffee. Got the coffee pot but no cup. She had drinks for another table then took their order and went back into the kitchen. Another waiter was passing by and we asked him for a mug and he brought it over. When our waitress finally came back I politely told her that she gave me the coffee but no mug and she was about to walk off to get a mug that I now had. Literally proved the lack of attention she pays to her customers. I did get the water midway of me eating. Came here for a brunch. We put our wait list down online so that we didn't have to wait as long once we got there. We were seated right away which was nice. Our waitress was okay. Not very attentive. She took our order. We had asked for some substitutions and to not have certain things added. But of course when we get our food they were not made. Don"t you just love to brunch?! A mix of breakfast and lunch usually appeals to all foodies, and First Watch certainly delivers in this area of thought! A friend of mine hadn't seen me in over a year due to life lifing, so we decided to meet up here upon my recommendation. This is not my first visit to an FW but the first time dining in this location. I was shocked that for a Tuesday morning before noon, the place was pretty packed. I wouldn't dare come at 11 on the weekend- you're going to wait! My friend had her mini me with her, so I dipped in and checked in while she parked to get a table. The hostess was very sincere and accommodating when I informed her that we needed a booth since my friend had a baby carrier. No worries - the hostess peeped a table that was about to be vacant and said to give her a few minutes to prepare it. Sure enough, by the time my friend walked through the door, the hostees had our table ready and even gave insight that one side of the booth had a little more width to fit the carrier. Nice! We thanked the hosttes for her accomodations for sure. Our waitress, Gracie, was just as hospitable as our hostess. She made sure our beverages were brought promptly to the table, kept the coffee kettle nearby so I could refill my cup of joe accordingly (and I had two cups which is never my thing, but it was so good, I had to have a 2nd cup), gave recommendations on entrees, and even went to the kicthen to get the mosy accurate vegan and vegetarian entrees for my friend. She really went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable, which is so appreciated! On top of attentive service, the kitchen executed delicious dishes with probably the same attentiveness. The quinoa bowl was decorated nicely with slices of avocado minus the chicken and cheese for my friend. I only subbed my toast for gluten-free toast with the Works Omelet entree, which I decided to pair with a bowl of cheesy grits. Can you say fat full because I was! The omelet contains three meats along with some veggies. Portion size is huge, so after eating my gluten-free toast with the jelly, only half that omelet could be eaten. Grits were definelty cheesy - maybe too chessy even for a cheese lover like me, but it may be because I have cut down on eating cheese and milk chesse at that. Still a delicious, decandent, and fulfilling meal the next morning. You can't beat the food, welcoming atmosphere, and the portions for the price you pay for dining here. Starting off with: I rarely complain about anything. I also, normally enjoy First Watch in Pearland. Today. Not so much. Service: this is my primary disappointment. Service was slow and It was not clear which server was responsible for my table. A young man gave me coffee and said he would take my order when he returned. After 15 or so minutes, I asked a young lady to send over my server. She said it was her section even though she had served the tables on each side of me and had not acknowledged me at any time. As soon as she walked away with my order, the young man emerged, saying he had been busy with online orders. Food: food was fine BUT, I took my morning meditation juice togo. somehow whoever made it -forgot to add something. It was very sour. Luckily i had some apple juice in hand, which saved my juice. I always have a nice time at First Watch. We were warmly greeted as we walked into the restaurant. All the staff we saw had pleasant attitudes. Our waitress, Tammy was a joy, she was prompt, personable, and answered all our questions. My husband had the Works omelette with a side of potatoes. It was delicious. I tried the new Double Bacon Parmesan Hash. Overall the dish was missing some flavors- perhaps a bit or garlic and a different type of onion in the Hash. That being said, the portion was generous, the bacon was crispy, and the overall combination of ingredients were nice. I gave feedback to the kitchen manager who was kind enough to listen and explain their seasoning approach. She gave me a small amount of their in-house seasoning blend to use.
