I grew up in South Jersey and my family always used Fischer Flowers for holidays and celebrations. Since I moved away, I've ordered from Fischer Flowers several times and have been mostly happy with their services until now. I ordered a fruit basket as a Christmas gift for my 75 year-old diabetic aunt this past Christmas. The total cost was $109.72 and they delivered my aunt a basket of junk food instead of fruit. When I received a picture from my aunt, I immediately called Fischer Flowers and was told that they confirmed the switch from fruit to junk food with me by phone before making the delivery, which they did not. I asked to speak with the manager and was told that she was on vacation until the next week. Since then, I've called approximately eight times and have never been put through to the manager, Jennifer. I've left about five messages and have not received a return phone call. This is a dishonest business practice (bait-and-switch) and terrible customer service. I will never use Fischer Flowers again and highly recommend that people use "The Secret Garden Florist" on New Road instead. read more

I happened to be out of town on business for my wife's birthday. They have a sign out front that says "If your name is... stop in for a free rose!" In talking to the young lady who answered the phone, I asked her if they already had that day's name on the sign, which they did. I told her that it was my wife's birthday and asked if she could please change the sign to her name. She did! I then purchased a beautiful bouquet for my wife. I can't rave highly enough about Charles and the staff at Fischer Flowers. I'm from Absecon originally but I've lived in Indianapolis for many years. My family and my husband's family are still in that area and I've used Fischer Flowers often for local flower delivery. I don't think I've ever actually picked out a flower arrangement - I've just told them how much I want to spend and trust them to put something together. Everything they've ever done is gorgeous and I've received lots of compliments on how beautiful the flowers are. It's not just that the flowers are beautiful - which they are-but their service is second to none. Like I said, I live in Indianapolis and my in-laws wedding anniversary was fast approaching. It was a major anniversary and I mentioned to Charles that I was looking for something to supplement the flowers. He volunteered-volunteered, I didn't ask-to call around to some other local businesses and help me find the perfect gift to accompany the flowers. I didn't have to make a single phone call except to pay, he did all the legwork. I've shopped with a lot of companies over the years and in all honesty, I can't recall one other time someone has offered to do something like this. I was completely blown away. As always, the flowers were stunning and the addition made the whole gift perfect. I will NEVER order from any other florist when I need flowers in South Jersey. My father made an order for my mother's birthday in early June. In late June we got a voicemail stating that the card used to pay for the order didn't go through. Why it took approximately 30 days to tell us this along with delivering the flowers without ever being paid is a mystery. We called back and inquired about what went wrong. Somehow before speaking with anyone the florist was able to get the payment processed and it cleared our account. While speaking to the manager Jennifer, she stated that she spoke to us earlier in the day, which is a lie as she never did. In addition, she accused my father of being a thief for not paying for the flowers. This is a strange accusation, as a thief wouldn't contact a merchant after receiving a voicemail to ensure that a payment would get through to them would they? My father is in Iraq and has no access to a phone. Communication is very scarce altogether. Despite telling Jennifer this, my father was accused of not paying for an order. There have been numerous issues in the past that we haven't bothered to mention. What my father ordered didn't resemble what was delivered. Both of my parents contacted the florist about the appearance of the arrangement. No one from the florist ever contacted us. My piece of advice if you haven't ever ordered from this florist? Don't, spend your money elsewhere. If you can't treat a person serving our country overseas with respect, it is clear you can't treat an ordinary customer with respect. Abusing a customer who serves overseas along with calling them a thief is about as low as you can go. However if your a manager at Fischer Flowers, that's what you do. read more

I asked if he had anything for today because the person really needed a cheering up, he checked and said he could. 1 year i stopped in and tried to bribe them 15 dollars to change the name on the sign out front lol, they did me the favor without accepting the money. if any of you are familiar, they typically have a sign out front that reads "if your name is "blank" come in for a free rose" they helped me get out of a lot of trouble that day lol. today is my 2nd time actually ordering an arrangement from them and theyre always helpful and friendly. you cant go wrong. read more

I purchased flowers for my husband's funeral in January and charged the flowers to my house account. I hadn't gotten the bill by the end of January and called and spoke to a gentlemen who said they were late in getting out the bills and appreciated me calling about my bill. When I got the bill in the mail after the due date, I paid it immediately. Next month I received a bill for late charges. I called again and left a message and no one returned my call. A few months ago, I had a single rose sent to me from Fischer flowers. They delivered it on the wrong day, a day early. I was out of town and came home to a half dead rose on my doorstep. People make mistakes, accidents happen. When the sender called to let them know what had happened they got an attitude. So we let it go and just figured we wouldn't use their business in the future. Out of convenience and a time restraint, I stopped into the store for a quick order. They were totally rude from the start. When I asked about an advertisement they looked at me as if I was crazy and told me that it was over yesterday. I said I had just seen their sign ten minutes prior, with the advertisement. They said oh no, impossible they had just changed it. When I asked when they changed it they answered, "ten minutes ago." Continued with the attitude and never did anything to fix the mistake. NOT WORTH IT!!! I've learned my lesson this time and hope to save you from wasting your money on unecessary disrespect. I only gave one star because zero wasn't an option :) read more
