The decor is old wood, fish nets and old German decor. The only thing I would change is the chairs. Although comfortable, they seemed like patio chairs rather than dining room chairs. The servers were some of the kindest we had encountered, so soft and happy to accommodate any requests for drinks and food. Checked on us often and smiled lots. The food was perfect. Husband had the eel, mother-in-law had a fish salad and I had salmon wrapped in filo pastry with a side of squash (special of the day). All presented well and were super tasty. We can't wait to go back. And will bring visitors here when they are in town.

We decided to give it a try even though it was a seafood restaurant and we were in the mood for other type of food. I am really happy that this was the only place open because it was very good. Everything we ordered was great. I had the tiger shrimp with a good local beer. Our group had a variety of other dishes including fish and other seafood and all of it was cooked to perfection. But I have to say the highlight of our trip was a small restaurant in a very small & charming town Heiligendamm. It was a beautiful day & after tea at the famed Grand Hotel ( pricy/average service) every one was talking of a newly opened restaurant right on the beach, so we made the 2km walk in to the woods. What we found blew us away. The staff were very friendly & warm & the service met all international standards. The service was fast & attentive & they had all the trimmings from hot towels to blankets & lots of charm & because it's right on the beach, we were able to take a quick walk on the sand & returned just as they were lighting the fire torches, amazing! The menu had it all , very eclectic . Something like , fine dining meets gourmet bistro.
