Ive been there many times and they have a lot of good stuff, but the dude with the tats is consistently rude. He's always condescending and short. I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but his attitude hasn't changed. So i won't be going back there. The guy with the thick beard is especially polite and super friendly, the other guys are professional as well, thus the second star, but the rude guy ruins it for me. This place is dope, I have been coming here for over a year and it is by far the best fish shop in town. Vince and Casey are always super friendly and knowledgeable. Prior to living here, I lived in San Diego for many years and I gotta say, this shop has even beaten most shops in San Diego in terms of the quality and price of their product. This aquatic store is a great Freshwater and Saltwater, The team is very knowledgeable in aquatics. Also the owner is a great guy to talk to about your aquatic needs and any questions that you may have. I will say the prices are a little bit higher than a normal fish store but there's a reason for that. You're not there to buy quantity but quality, Quality of the fish and products is what keeps bringing me back. As well from my experience I can say if you do purchase a fish however and try to trade in for credit or refund you are out of luck from my experience. Came into the store on Sunday. Its a small shop with beautiful fish. We received lots of attention and really great information and really happy with our experience. Excited, we purchased 3 Bristlenose Plecos to add to our family of fish - 1 upside down, and 1 male and 1 female. Woke the next morning to find 1 of the plecos dead - less than 24 hours later. Disappointed, we called the store to see what our options were and understand why this may have happened. We were met with a shockingly unprofessional and aggressive response and were accused of lying because he had never seen it happen. The complete opposite of our initial experience. This experience echoes some of the other negative reviews mentioned here. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars!!!! :( On a side note, there is a mask mandate in place in the state of CA which is not being followed at the store. My family and I visited the store this afternoon to purchase a fresh water tank and fish for my son's 5th birthday. Upon entering, we were greeted by someone behind the counter who was not wearing a mask. My wife is an RN with pre-existing serious medical conditions. My wife, my children and I wear masks everywhere when we visit a business. When I asked the man if he would wear a mask while interacting with us, he refused and when I further asked why, he proceeded to tell me it's a choice and he doesn't feel the need to wear one. This is a place of business, whether you 'feel the need or not', you should be respectful of your customers requests and the standard practices in place currently at almost every restaurant and retail store throughout the city. We came in ready to spend a good amount of money on a tank, fish and supplies to get started, needless to say, it's very disappointing to have an experience like this after reading so many positive reviews of the place the day before. Not to mention, I had called yesterday and spoke to someone who sounded very knowledgeable, only to come by today and have someone be so ignorant and disrespectful. The mask issue isn't political, it's common sense and should be a policy followed by any business. I just went to Fish Frenzy this morning and I was compelled to write a review on this store as soon as I left. Vince was so helpful and patient with me asking several questions. Unfortunately over a year ago we lost all our saltwater fish in a fire. I came in here hoping to get some of the same fish we had before. He had such a wide variety to choose from. I went back in when, "the guy with the tattoos", as mentioned in previous reviews, was rude. I have tats, so that has nothing to do with this. I was not informed on the no return policy. And no receipt given. Not sure why...oh maybe I do know. I was calm the entire time. Even when Vince put his finger up at me like a little queen. Folks, the 45 minute drive to Aquatic Warehouse in SD is worth it. Look them up. The selection and return policy are amazing. Vince free to review any video you have of the exchange, release it. Amazing service. Best Aquatics store in SoCal. After a day of being disappointed at the lack of good service at other stores in Riverside County, Fish Frenzy is clean, friendly and very fairly priced! Bought corals and snails for our saltwater and shrimp and tetras for our freshwater. Although one shrimp was dead, the rest are stunning and beautiful! Spent about $120 bucks in Cichlids here and they've all died. Meanwhile, the Cichlids I bought from Petsmart at the same time I added the fish from Fish Frenzy are still alive and healthy. My water levels are perfect and I take very good care of my 75 gallon tank. Good selection of the more rare types of fish, but they didn't last more than a couple months. It's shame, because the fish I bought were really cool. Based on the attitude of the guy at the store, I didn't really bother trying to take them back. read more

I had them taking care of my tank for over a year until the corals kept "dying" (dissapearing) when i confronted the owner his answer was that my tank was filthy and thats why my corals kept "dying", very unprofessional, and isn't weird that a when coral "dies" but the skeleton or rock is nowhere to be found... my reef wouldve been 2 years is a few months but i took it down trying to find the rare piece, and i was so pissed that i re did the whole thing and start over doing it by my self, be aware and watch your tank while you are getting ur service, or better yet, find your self a good mentor and dont let anyone put their hands in your tank. read more

Fish Frenzy has become my goto saltwater fish store as of late. The owner here is very helpful and I can tell he cares about the health of his fish. So far, all the fish that I buy from here easily acclimates to my home tanks fast and starts eating flakes and pellets right away. This is important to me because it means higher survivability rate compared to the fish that only eats frozen foods for months before trying out flakes or pellets... not that i don't feed other variaties like frozen mysis, spirulina brine shrimp and nori but the less picky fish that eats flakes and pellets eats everything else, therefore a very hardy specimen that does not easily get sick and die. read more

I am very grateful for Vince and his store. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to spend time answering questions about the delicate process of salt water aquariums. His food products are awesome and he always has a large variety from which to choose. Casey is my "go to" guy for maintenance and he's always punctual and does an amazing job maintaining my tank. We went to a big box store and bought everything that was recommended. We got all wrong information unbeknownst to us. I was killing fish left and right and no one could tell me why. I finally had enough and came here and Vince is a godsend. I've asked hundreds of questions and he was very patient and kind even though I know had to be annoying with those many questions.
