I had tagliatelle with fresh smoked local albacore tuna - delicious. For entree we had calamari- proper fresh cooked, not frozen rings like other places. But enough of the history ... it just seems that with each change of ownership the new entity starts off with a hiss and a roar in all areas of customer service, quality of food and entertainment. And then something happens to change that, whether it's within the owner's control or not. And so it is with the Social. In the beginning the food was something special, photos of incredible plates of food were posted on various social media sites, and people were raving about it (there's something wonderful about the good ol' word of mouth!). My friends and I prided ourselves on being daily guests at The Social but had to walk away after experiencing consistent poor quality food, particularly at lunch time. Don't get me wrong, the ambience is pretty cool and it's a nice place to relax! Today, after a few month's break, we decided to give it another go ... Not overly excited but it was alright. My dining companion tells me the fish n chips were very good, my burger was good. Unfortunately, it wasn't so great that we rushed back to work to rave about our experience! Keep trying guys ... your proximity to where we work makes you the preferred place to sit down and dine.

It came with chicken, cucumber achar and papadum. I had the Nasi Lemak with the crispy chicken. It had sambal, anchovies, peanuts and cucumbers. The coconut rice was just right.
