This large park apparently allows overnight camping which I thought was pretty cool, but I had…read moresomewhere to be and so I kept rolling along. There are 15 spaces with 30 and 50 amp hookups though there is no water. A dump station is available at the south end of the park. Stay up to 72 hours (three days) though the spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. I did bring my lunch here to one of the picnic tables to dine al fresco and enjoy some outside. No one else was here while we were here anyway, but that could just be the time of year. It's right next to the road, so it's noisy during the day. Electrical hookups for only $10 (pay down the street). Oh, and no restrooms on site (again, down the street). Sounds like a bunch of negatives but for a one night layover, it's a nice spot next to a calm pond with ducks. Take a walk to the island and enjoy the peacefulness.

We used to play all day on "the hill" - riding bikes, playing hide & seek, sledding in the winter - you name it, this was the ultimate outdoor playground for the entire neighborhood. Oh, and when you do break your arm like me - the ER at the hospital is just up the street! Maybe this is why parents are allowing more video games vs. real life experiences. Real life can be dangerous. But it also leaves some great lasting memories...
