Extremely friendly service. They answered all my questions about diving in Lake Tahoe, and I never felt rushed. I forgot to return my wetsuit after the trip but they let me ship it back to them a few days later without any late fees. I have been certified for years, but decided to teach my 15 year old son to dive so we could take trips together. I chose Fisheye (then, more luck than anything), and we could not be happier. The shop is well-organized and friendly, and the manager there, Ryan Norman, will help you with whatever you need in a straight-up and honest (and always enthusiastic) way. The instructors (Don and Brian) were wonderful, and our certification experience fun and smooth. We took our first trip with Fisheye to Belize in 2012 and had a blast. We have since been with them to Cozumel, Cayman Brac, and we just signed up for a return to Cozumel next March (2016) and St. Lucia (August, likely, 2016) as soon as they book it. The prices are reasonable, the trips well planned and the fun starts at the airport and doesn't end until we return. We plan to take at last one trip a year with Fisheye. And the friends. All the new friends. We have developed one of the nicest networks of folks you can imagine. And we do things OUTSIDE scuba, too, including dining out, parties, music, and much more. A good bunch of quality people. You will make friends for a lifetime here. I know I already have. I cannot recommend Fisheye, Ryan, and staff enough, and I can do so without qualification. Jump in. I run a business and have for 30 years, and occasionally mistakes are made, or something goes wrong. I can only attest to our personal experiences. Upon arriving we were greeted with corny enthusiasm which raised a flag. As advertised, we were informed that gear was offered "head to toe." If this were true, we wouldn't have had to buy fins, gloves, masks, and booties which put us $300 over our originally planned budget. The kicker was that they waited to tell us that they didn't have those for rent after we had gone through with the transaction to rent the rest of the gear. Needless to say, the gear was overpriced. Overall, their intentions are self centered and they are not a business that has the customer in mind. On top of this, the shop is in a very inconvenient location, so poor planning or a simple mistake could cost you in time and gas. They did not sell dive flags either which forced us to pick one up in Sacramento where the next nearest dive shop is located. Do not go unless this in some way sounds attractive to you. read more

Great place with great instructors for scuba diving. Their instructional methods were were excellent and easy to follow. They were patient with those in the class who struggled while at the same time ensuring those who were getting it didn't have to wait for the others. I would highly recommend them for scuba certification. I will be going back to them for my advanced Open Water certification. read more

Great dive shop...went in to just get some flippers for lap swimming. They did not have the kind I wanted but ordered them for me, not one but two pairs because I was in between sizes. Ryan was so helpful and treated me like it was a big purchase when it wasn't, made me feel good about the shop...not just interested in the 'big purchase' people. Also appreciated the initial greeting and then just let me look around, I hate it when sales people 'descend' upon me....and then Ryan helped when I wanted help, obviously attentive. I certified through Fisheye and have been a customer now for about 18 months. I have purchased about 90% of my gear through them rather than buying online. The reason is being a new diver, I depend on their expertise in my making the right decisions in purchasing the correct gear. I also depend on their expertise in properly assembling my gear and providing future service for it because I want to minimize the probability of a equipment malfunction at any depth. For me, the benefit of having access to their knowledge and expertise is worth every nickle I spend in the shop. read more

They folks at Fisheye Scuba are fantastic. I have shopped other large dive facilities in the Sacramento area and found that if they don't already know you, you don't get very good service - that isn't the case at Fisheye. Every time I have gone in there the staff has been great even if they know I am not ready to buy anything, it doesn't matter... And the best part - they know what they are talking about. I have not tried any of their classes, but plan to in the near future - I'm sure the instructors are as good as the guys in the store. The one downside it their web site - it stinks. Fisheye you have got to get your web site up to par - I would love to shop your store on line. read more
