There are quiet a few rooms in the reception area for relaxing and a bar which is near to the restaurant. Our breakfast was reasonable but not very exciting.The leisure facilities are spacious with a nice pool and a large gym area which I was not tempted to use on this occasion.I would stay here again as the countryside in this area is spectacular and worth a longer explore.

All of the rooms are different sizes and shapes so it's pot luck, but quirky and adds to the charm. The restaurant is good, with rich, home cooked style food, but they get busy so book!! No bath. After I paid the bill I realised the GBP/EUR rate they used was ridiculously bad value. Normally when I'm in the UK and I use a card I'm given an option to either pay in GBP or take the rate offered but I wasn't given the option and didn't cop until it was too late. Sneaky tactic. As for the stay itself: It was better than one Travel Lodge experience I've had. But I've had plenty of Premier Inn stays that exceeded this one. And one recent Ibis stay was miles ahead. The positives do out weigh the negatives in terms of count, but not sure I can go any higher than a 3 on this one after the sneaky rate conversion.

The Guest House was located within a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and downtown Hereford, and situated far enough back from Aylestone Hill Rd that it was peaceful and quiet. The grounds of the hotel are stunning and kept immaculate, with lots of places outside to sit and relax. Our room was spacious, clean and stocked with everything the 3 of us needed. Beds were incredibly comfortable and had nice warm comforters. The bathroom was large and there was a towel warming rack. We also loved the door from our room which led out to the side lawn. Breakfast was made to order and excellent, too! They had a small menu with a full English Breakfast, omelettes, porridge, toast, and other choices as well as a chiller with fresh fruit, yogurt and juices. The two hosts were lovely and we really enjoyed talking with them. I would 100% recommend staying here for work or leisure. We enjoyed our stay here tremendously and will be back if we are ever in Hereford again!

The staff is excellent - super capable and so friendly. My room was very nicely appointed and the size/space though more modest is excellently arranged with all the niceties of a upper-end hotel. A refined mixture old world class and modern conveniences. There's a a couple restaurants (reviews on the way) that look great. This hotel is tucked away in the country. So it may be harder to find. But GPS got us there just fine. Definitely recommend this hotel.

With the help of Edward Constable in 1795 some nuns who were imprisoned (?!!) in France were brought back to England and acquired the Hall and the surrounding 22 acres and converted into a convent, and in 1876 it became one of the oldest printing presses in England. It truly is magnificent and the staff are excellent, hospitable, friendly and eager to serve and please. Due to the pandemic it is at maybe 30% capacity but the COVID regulations are strictly enforced making us feel safe enough to stay here and enjoy our 25th anniversary of being together and 18th wedding anniversary. And if it's raining - plenty to enjoy and explore in the roaming structure and our room/suite (the Thompson) is spacious, comfortable and guarantees an enjoyable stay. Two thumbs up!!

This great pub is suitable for everyone's preferences, both the young & old, with its restaurant, lounge, and cozy snug/public bar area, not forgetting the games room!
