Great owners and Staff. Fun place to stop on the trail! Excellent food and fish tacos are to die for. Thanks so much!

Great Chicken!!! Nice folks. Good place for sledders. Cabins are right on the lake with easy parking.

Great view.. Food is delicious and the drinks are great too. Very clean place. Summer time it's beautiful view of the lake. Winter it's crazy busy with snowmobilers.

Fish tacos and homemade chips. Omg yummmy

Hidden gem. Very quiet place with fantastic food. The best fish tacos I've ever had and homemade chips. Amazing views of the lake while you eat.

Went for a fish fry meal on Fourth of July weekend, nice location right on Lake Gogebic. Inside the decor worked for a lakefront restaurant with the nice water views. The fish fry was okay, crispy not oily, fries were very good. The waitress was in a hurry, she came to the table to take our order or when we had to look for her, we would try answer her question or ask for something it seemed like she was heading back to the kitchen or bar, no small talk, not a very welcoming feeling. Would probably go back hopefully with a different waitress.

While staying on Lake Gogebic we happened to hit the Fishtales restaurant on one of the few days that they were open. Our table overlooked Lake Gogebic for a nice view. I started with a fantastic Moscow Mule from the bar and my husband had a Keweenaw brew. We ordered the soup, garlic potatoes and the whitefish. We both had to slow ourselves down from eating the chowder too fast, it was that delicious. The base was the perfect thickness, had carrots, spinach (or kale) with seafood and a spicy little meatball. I asked for the recipe but the bartender blew me off with his smooth yet friendly Yooper demeanor I wanted that recipe! Onward, the potatoes were well seasoned with paprika and other spices then topped with shredded Parmesan cheese, very tasty and went well with the delicate broiled whitefish. I have a problem with texture so the fish seemed soft to me but my husband loved it! If you can catch this place on a day that they are open, stop and have what we had

Best food EVER! The chef Jedd serves up food that rivals Hilton Head, New Orleans and SoCal. So happy to have such a great place to eat!

Property lines up along a scenic lake with a foot bridge to get to the boathouse. Plenty of grey, black, and orange/red squirrels, chipmunks, and seven deer roam the grounds. We saw the deer at sunrise and dusk. Open the curtain to the siding glass door and the deer look right at you. *Photo op I tell you. The kitchen is stocked rather well with most cooking and serving items you need for meals inside. Patio has a small grill. Our two bedroom two bathroom unit has one bathroom on each level. That means no master bathroom. We made it work for us for the time we were here. One thing we didn't like is there wasn't any extra boxes of tissues. We came for Spring Break and we have seasonal allergies. Thankfully we didn't run out of tissues. There was plenty of towels and tp, oh and blankets. Decorated in mountain cabin and bear motifs. Sturdy (and clean) chairs, couches and rocking chairs. Plenty of places to sit and read. Master bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to a private balcony. Lower level sliding glass door leads to a patio that's part of the common area. And deer hang around here. Located an hour or more from several ski resorts in both WI and upper peninsula MI. Keweenaw peninsula is a great day trip from here.

We arrived just before 4 PM on Saturday (before the office closed) but their clocks must be fast versus our cell phones. We dropped off our paperwork and finally saw someone the day we checked out. The beds were not uncomfortable but we didn't sleep well. Overall, everything was fine but not great.

It was all decorated in the Northwoods rustic style, the kitchen had dishes/cups/silverware/spices/coffee filters, a regular microwave, full size fridge/freezer, and regular drip coffeemaker (not some ridiculous hotel coffee maker, I hate those things). We were very lucky to get this place for a night in between reservations and were sorry we couldn't stay longer. It's just a few miles outside of town, where you can (and we did) get groceries and some terrific fish fry easily. The owners are just across the driveway and were very friendly. They have a couple of dogs - the collie came over and visited us a few times (this was 100% okay with us, my middle son *loved* having a doggy friend for a day). Oh, there's a firepit and picnic table outside, too. This place was amazing. Just a little more than a hotel room, but with space to move and the sound of a babbling brook just outside the front door.
