There is high turn over with in the staff and the board has a problem with being transparent and upfront with the parents. The atmosphere of the student body is very clicky and heavy with favoritism which might be the reason for a bullying epidemic there. The cost to benefit just isn't there when you are literally getting the same education in the public school system. This school started out strong when it was first built but over the past 5 years it has really gone down hill while its tuition increased due to the population growth in the area.

We are so lucky to have the Challenger Learning Center in our area. There are a few throughout the country carrying on the mission of space exploration that both the Challenger and Columbia crews lost their lives fulfilling. Paul and Jenny McFarlane in spaceman blue jumpsuits gave each arrival a warm greeting and split up the touring and questions (even knowing quite a bit of misc questions like solar sunrises and astronaut training -having been to actual space camps) with other workers in blue uniform-shirts/vests. We came due to a pre-opening tour and special film announced on a school flier. (I'm very tempted to recruit my own group of 20+/- friends to run a mission with!!) They have mainly been focused on educational programs through schools with their portable dome or trailer, but with this location can offer an even broader offering of space experiences! Took a bit to find: Located at the Sparks High School campus in (one of many brick buildings) building N7 (look on the doors) on the back/East side of campus. Closest parking is if you park near or under the solar panels next to the modular buildings. They have a banner above their entry door with a side-rear view of the football stadium. Inside: The small foyer has stairs leading up to a classroom area and a short hallway before turning the corner into the "Mission Command station" area (lots of computer terminals that simulate the real space station control you see in movies). A connecting room is where the "Space station" is that has various areas like med bay, air lock/containment, pilot control, etc. There is also a mobile unit (I saw it at the Balloon Races last year) that hosts feature presentations including interactive flight/air races/ space trips (and more I'm sure). I also spied two techy 'Easter eggs' like a Star Trek intercomm (that makes true-to-series sounds) and Hal 9000-like A.I. unit (which I'm told interacts like Siri). A back open multi-purpose area with folding chairs and tables is where they showed a Nasa feature film (not Imax, go to the theater or planetarium if want that show) on a big screen TV and did a small Q&A session. It also has a spacesuit stand-in for kicks and picture posterity. There is only one unisex old-school (literally) bathroom complete with flashing flourescent light (it's the type you have to turn it off then on again to get it to stop but we all know it's not worth the effort and you could be done and out by the time get it right). While not the newest or high-techist looking place they did a great deal under a tight opening budget and I am excited to have a program like this here! Highly endorse!! She is really tuned in with her students and can zero in on the areas that our daughter is struggling with by just reviewing their work packets and assessments. She is always very responsive when we notice issues with concepts in our daughter's school work and adjusts the materials to support her learning. Our daughter was enjoying the work packets after getting into a routine and is excited to get ahead of class concepts. She even voluntarily said she wanted to also do math so she's doing both subjects now. We enrolled our daughter in the math program here about a year and a half ago. We are super…read morepleased with how much this program has done for her both in the classroom and also on her standardized testing that is done in her school. Before we enrolled her, we looked at two similar businesses in the South Meadows/Damonte Ranch area and found that this program was significantly less expensive than the other two. Additionally, we had a family friend recommend Best In Class to us. We decided to enroll our daughter because she had always received good grades in school, and we were truly shocked that her standardized testing scores showed her math below the 70th percentile! When your child only gets A's and B's on their report card, it's worrying when their standardized testing doesn't reflect that. After about 7 months of math lessons here, once a week, she tested at the 96th - 99th percentile range on her last standardized test for math in her school! We were so pleased with this improvement, in such a short time frame, that we recently signed her up for the English lessons too. Our daughter really enjoys going to the weekly lessons here. They give her "Best In Class Dollars" when she gets 100% on her tests and she can use these to buy fun little trinkets for rewards. She brings home a homework packet each time, and does 3 pages a day. It takes about 15 minutes a day generally. The next class, she takes a quick test to ensure she has learned the last week's lesson. After that, she reviews the next lesson with the instructor. We've found the lessons are broken out in very easy to understand concept groups for her. Most importantly, she tells us the teacher to student ratio is low in her classes, so she gets a lot of individual attention in each lesson. We definitely recommend this Best In Class! The staff is very kind and professional, and our daughter has had excellent results with this program!
