Let it be known that I once was gloriously fit - jumping, bending and running with athletic grace and skill. Times have changed after a two year exercise hiatus due to sheer boredom with the whole shebang. After approximately a year of whinging to my loved ones about my unfit state (word to the wise that's what happens if you don't move at all) and pondering that I may need a personal trainer to re-motivate me, I finally got in contact with Jo Newman at Fit N Fabulous. I'm very glad I did and even though it's only been a month I am definitely on my way back to that glowing specimen of health (just give me time). Jo is a lovely blend of drill seargent and that workout buddy you always wished you had. You will be sore, but it'll be that good kind of sore where every painful move you make is a reminder of the body betterment going on beneath the surface. And most important to me Jo is a master of variety, so I never quite hurt in the same way after a session. I also think for this day and age the costs are reasonable and if you'd prefer to share the agony and payment in a pair that can also be accomodated. Throw in regular group bootcamp sessions and you'll be fabulous in no time dahling. My inside tip is to purchase a $2 house-made Apricot & Almond Protein Bar after your workout. It's delicious and natural, unlike the hideous ones I've tasted out there. Jo works by appointment only so make sure you get in touch to tee a time up. In a nutshell - work it baby! read more
