But they've still managed to maintain a decent customer base because I go at all hours and there's always at least 1 or 2 others. I think the most attractive feature about this gym (not for me) are the plated and weighted sections. They have dedicated bench presses. I'm not entirely sure what that means but apparently the other two nearby 24/7hr gyms don't have them. There's a crossfit room of some sorts also. The cardio area is pretty basic about 6/7 treadmills, 2 ellipticals & 3 bikes. The main focus seems to be on weights and lots of it. So coincidentally this gym is most frequented by the male population. I rarely see my fellow sisterhood but hey who cares. In the end it works for me because it's 2 mins walk away.

What I love about this place is the amazing staff always on hand to help at a seconds notice. Cheye is always looking out to change it up by introducing the latest classes - Shockwave being the newest. Les Mils GRIT will be coming in the next couple of months - can't wait !!! They offer the standard group exercises, my one gripe is the yoga times do not work well with my schedule. Speaking of times, I also wish they had longer hours for the weekend, considering that you pay a premium for the Platinum gym. The pool is warm and good for a few laps. There is a sauna by the pool, which is shared by males and females. It is a bit uncomfortable for me because some guys go in the sauna from the pool with their swimming trunks and lie on the benches a bit too comfortably, it just makes me a bit fidgety and uncomfortable. Or maybe I'm just being too much of a prude. In the ladies locker room, there is a steam room but I've found it to be unappealing because I've seen hairs on the tiles. Like most gyms, you get a fair bit of muscly guys who look like they're just there to show off but generally the crowd here is pretty decent. There is a lounge area near the front with iMacs and free wifi. They also have a play zone for kids but I've never really seen any kids in there.

Anyone who has had a neck injury because someone has hogged the lane would appreciate this. The spa is clean and the pool assistant checks on the area frequently. The sauna is piping hot....I mean the atmosphere...oh I mean the temperature....gee take it how it comes. Ha The gym area upstairs has a huge range of fitness equipment. You can pull every muscles in every direction in this area. Good flat screens show the latest TV shows. The area is very much self contained from the other areas and you can't hear the huffing and puffing. There are squash courts, a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool. This place has everything. Now for the best bit there is a bar here. Work out with friends then have a drink afterwards. There are also not many youngsters....too expensive for them and their parents.

They have a lot of open space for training, the facility is big, but not too big, the staff and members are friendly and, in general you can get everything you want DONE. Like, you're not waiting on equipment/machines, everything you need is there, blah, blah, blah, happy days. And they have a STEP MILL, as in like, a rolling staircase contraption. I hate cardio, but that is my favourite thing! Step mills are like unicorns in Australian gyms. When I first saw they got one, I had to control myself from doing a little happy dance, lol. I get annoyed when I want to use it and there is someone on MY STEP MILL. How dare they. Maybe the gym should get another one or two, eh? :) They have these boxing classes I never do and "quickie spin" or something (I also never do it), but not a full array of classes, which since I never do classes, I don't give a shit about. But it might be a bummer for you if you really like that kind of thing.
