Better traction in the middle lane here. No need to worry about catching up with the other swimmers swimming laps in your lane. A great pool. Unlike the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, I had to go into the slow lane here once, and yet I enjoyed uninterrupted swimming, and achieving results in half the time than in the fast lanes at other pools. Quite large and spacious. Great range of classes and learn to swim programs. The showers stay on until you turn off the taps in the change room facilities here. Soap is available too. Again a great pool. Fairly good rates. Location wise, excellent. Only a short stroll from Central train station.

For any spa treatment purchases, one can use the spa facilities before/ after your massage. This includes the indoor heated pool/ jacuzzi / steam room/ sauna/ gym. We used the couples room located on the 18th floor for our massage. The room has a view of Hyde park, so beautiful :) The massage itself was relaxing (the masseur was able to "untie" some of the stubborn knots on my shoulder, which was good as I slept like a baby that night). I wasn't a big fan of the scalp massage . Oh well. I would highly recommend anyone to bring their loved ones here for a special treat :)

I have this thing about gyms where I, well, HATE them. It just seems barbaric to me. However, recently I found my calorie intake and level of exercise to be somewhat disproportionate. In the interest of not wanting to buy new pants, I sought out the gym that was the closest to where I live and that happened to be Anytime Fitness Glebe. Typically, a requirement for me when choosing a fitness facility is that they have a studio with daily cardio classes. Unfortunately, this isn't the case here. Nor do they have the pool / sauna combo that make some of its larger competitors stand out. The little gym has most everything else that you require, however, and if you also need to work out at 3am (God help you), this is also an option. Your swipe key will let you into the club as you might have already figured, anytime. There are 4 treadmills, 4 elliptical machines, 2 bikes and 2 rowing machines in their cardio section. They are all fitted with iPod hook ups and touch screen televisions. The "iron pumping!" section is filled with buff dudes in tank tops so I tend to steer clear, but it seems pretty well equip with machinery. In all, I don't suppose you would seek out Anytime Fitness if it weren't quite nearby your home or work, but if you must - this spunky little gym will get the trick done. Or should I say, provide the facility for you to do the doing.

Opened recently, 3 weeks ago, still not so many active member for this place. Off course with this advantage of decent size member using thy facility, you can use equipment without rushing. Modern equipments are good enough to be used, more than decent to build your muscle definition into a specific area your working on. Changing room is clean and also the shower. I notice the rushed hours between 4.30 pm to 7pm any working days. Even though this place is not super big, It's is a nice place to do your routine exercise.

But my biggest gripe is when members sneak in non-members since the gym is only staffed/monitored a few hours a day. Why do I even pay for a membership when I can just wait to walk in with someone else??? Supposedly the gym is being monitored 24/7 by "cameras".. there are no such thing. Why do I keep coming back?? As for cardio machines there are about 8-10 elipticals, 12 or so treadmills, 3 or 4 bikes, and two rowing machines. His energy is infectious which is great because I have never once finished a class with an ounce left to give. I'm not sure how someone who seems so nice is able to push people to their limits like that, but there you go. Classes are usually small meaning you get lots of personal attention and also easily make some new friends! I'd highly recommend anyone interested in personal fitness and self defence to check it out!
