We came in this morning at about 11:00, spotted these Timberland City Blazers my husband fell for. Waited 10-15 minutes for someone to help, and every time we flagged either of the 2 employees, mostly playing on their phones, they'd duck and hide or go into the back. We walked around to look for the boots at other stores for about an hour, and after we couldn't find them, we came back to see if we could get some help a second time. Stood around for another 10 minutes this time, before leaving again to find them at Jordan Creek. To no avail, we came back to the store a third time. We stood around for 5 minutes and we were *finally* able to grab someone. When we waved him over, there was no greeting, just "what?". Absolutely ridiculous. We bought the boots because we couldn't even find the same color online, and we'd done our fair share trying to find a similar style/brand elsewhere today. After this, we'll never be back.

I typically run my debit card as credit but was unable to. The person who checked me out offered me no assistance when I asked for help to run my card as credit. I happened to recently get this card, and I could not remember my PIN number (yes this part is my fault). However, the person who helped checked me out should have offered to help me figure out how to run my card as credit instead of just staring at me with an attitude. I ended up telling that person that I could not pay for my items and left because I was so frustrated. I was very disappointed and do not plan on going back to this store anytime soon.

My wife is currently doing Ragbri which is the largest ride across Iowa or any other state I think. She was riding in Stage 3 or a 6 stage all week ride and she had a major de-railer on her bike break. She has a bike from REI she purchased years ago and loves it but she was able to get a hold of the REI in Des moines and they said bring it in. So I drove here 1 1/2 hours from the road ride she was in and Ben and Sam at the store rocked it!!!! They fixed her bike and got her back up going in an hour and she is now back on the road in Stage 4 today. We cannot thank you enough, REI and especially two heroes Ben and Sam. What service and kindness cannot say enough. Hope this gets to them, their store manager and the CEO of REI so you all know how great you folks are!! God Bless and Ride on!!!!!
