The one thing I liked about this gym was the sauna. It's the only sauna in town as far as I know. Usually it's pretty dark in there but today I dropped my water bottle and turned on my flashlight to grab it and became very DISTURBED! Nicotine packets on the wall. Black mystery substance on the floor on top of old laminate tiles that they just placed the sauna wood on top of. I'm honestly scared to come back to the sauna and that's a bummer.

It looks dirty everywhere and all the equipment is old. Hardly any cardio machines. There is a locker room, but all the lockers had locks on them because they were already in use so I had to just leave my bag under the bench which made me uncomfortable. When I went back into the locker room there were women in there taking up a lot of space, practicing their posing for a bodybuilding contest. Which is fine, but they gave me dirty looks when I had to say excuse me & walk past them to grab my bag. 95% men in there. Staring was constant. Lastly, you know when you can tell people are not all natural? That feel was abundant, for the men and women. If you're looking for that vibe, this gym is for you. I won't be going back

As soon as we arrived, an assistant manager approached our group regarding someone vaping outside in the parking lot. I brushed it off and continued our workout. Later, the same assistant manager approached my friend for dropping dumbbells. I understand that excessive dropping can be an issue, but this wasn't disruptive, and nobody around us seemed bothered. My friend has a history of wrestling and back issues, so slowly lowering heavy weights all the way to the floor isn't always realistic. The situation escalated when the assistant manager came back a third time and threatened to revoke his membership if he dropped another weight or continued wearing open-toed shoes. While I understand that open-toed shoes aren't ideal and that gym rules exist for a reason, the repeated confrontations felt unnecessary and could have been handled much more respectfully. What disappointed me most was the attitude. Planet Fitness has always promoted a welcoming, judgment-free environment focused on physical and mental well-being. Instead, the experience felt hostile from the moment we walked in. It's a nice gym and nobody is perfect, and members should follow the rules, but staff should also communicate with professionalism and respect. I hope management addresses these issues so future members can enjoy the positive and uplifting atmosphere that Planet Fitness is known for.

I appreciate the open door policy on the snacks & drinks , but talk about taxing.. $4.75 for a protein shake I can get at martins for $3.50? Why? The equipment is alright at best , the equipment on 23 is far better. There's plenty of tvs though! Also there's no coat racks or drinking fountain .. 3 stars is being generous .. I am thankful for what Eastlake/Fitstop has provided for me in the past , but I need better from you guys

If you can handle 'outdated' machines such as treadmills without built in TV's or AUX inputs it's worth the savings. There are several small flat screens to look at while on the bike and such but that's it. Did I mention there isn't a yearly contract?! *thumbs up I don't go to the gym to socialize, I get my cardio in and get out but the people here seem friendly. If you are a clean freak and have a larger invisible bubble than others this is your warning because this is not a large gym. On the other hand if the price and location is right, I say give it a try and don't make a pricier commitment until you prove to yourself you'll attend the gym regularly.
