The store is packed full of clothes which take over the walls, rather than one of those sparse stores where you walk in wondering where the clothes they sell have gone! The staff are quite friendly too, unlike staff in stores like the one I described above, who stare at you like you have three heads. All in all, not a bad little clothes store if you need to pick up something but don't fancy heading into town.

Every place I hace been to has been of a similar vein to Maze, plenty of big names - often emblazoned across the chest - big loud colours - often worryingly accompanied by sequins - and big prices. Maze is a store very much in the style of Dapper, Drome or the closer Cube. I had started to wonder what had become of the Scouse males favourite band, La Coste, until I was reassured that Maze still had a market for plenty of their polo shirts and jumpers here.

The clothing is fairly dressy with some stunning long evening dresses (some brightly coloured) but also some less dressy tops that you could wear in the evening, possibly the day time, depending on your engagement. My favourite find, although I didn't purchase it was a short red dress with a ruffle effect at the top. I was trying to work out where on earth I would wear the dress. I have so many in my wardrobe that I just couldn't possibly, at the minute, justify another buy. So thanks Desire but I need to find a reason for a new purchase, but hope to see you again soon!

Similar to the other clothing shops in the precinct, this only stands out because of the lovely…read morestaff, who are always helpful and polite. Same sorts of clothes as everywhere else, and a small shoe and bag section, with some additional accessories near the till. For some reason there always seems to be a lot of mums with pushchairs in here, though I can't quite figure out why. Prices are competitive, quality occasionally questionable, but generally a pretty decent clothes shop.

However STorm is probably the more famous, more popular store of the bunch. I must say, I preferred the old store near Lewis's, while the stock was similar, the shop was larger and brighter, there was more stuff and more space to look; it was a little decrepit, but it wasn't in St John's which I tend to find dark and claustrophobic Now there is no alternative I shop here. The stock is variable with some obligatory tat but an occassional bargain (as with most of these style stores) and the staff are always on hand and very helpful.

But we finally decided that Peaches made a lot more sense than Peacnes, whatever Peacnes is. :p This shop sells women's clothing, and it's fairly nice stuff--very feminine, flowery, ruffles, etc. I liked what I saw, though unfortunately I can't really buy any clothing at the moment due to being a starving writer/artist. Such is life. But I'd definitely like to have another look around this shop next time I actually do have money to spare.

I am definitely a fan of The Dressing Room…read more I remember when it first opened and I thought "I won't be shopping in there; it'll be all the same stuff I can get cheaper in town; it'll be overpriced; the staff with be stuck up and unapproachable," but once again, I was proved wrong and very cynical. The Dressing Room stocks a beautiful collection of clothes accessories and jewellery which is not easily found in town, there's a real sense of style in here and the window displays are consistently alurring. The prices are not extortionate and considering the convenience of the store, are actually very reasonable. The staff, in my experience, are variable: some days they're friendly, some days not, but they're only human and everybody has an off day! I would say this shop has a particular target audience: young fashionable females, and I don't think the mechandise will appeal to all of the local ladies.

You can also expect to have a designer selected to your personal style. When I walk into a bridal store, I usually attract looks which shout out "what do you want?" - but the staff here aren't judgemental at all, very welcoming. The store has been endorsed by Hollyoaks and Radio City and quite rightfully so.

They also have accessories and dresses for proms. As my boyfriend will tell you, desperate brides travel miles to find the right dresses. Here they are beautiful and sophisticated with designs from Raylia, Justin Alexander and Veromia. Don't turn up on a Monday as you will find the shutters down. On a Thursday evening they are open late, well, later anyway and you can have a glass of wine although it doesn't look as if they are a licenced premises. They were offering a free tiara with every bridal gown and its worth asking if this is still the case. Don't get a ticket, use the car park at the back.
