Finally after 3 years they offered me a $5000 settlement, I didn't accept, so they dropped me. Saying she retired because of medical reasons. I am quite upset by the recent developments in my legal case. Initially, the legal team expressed interest in representing me, even reaching out after learning about additional claims against my employer. Sara, a representative from the firm, sent me a retainer agreement. I signed and returned the retainer, along with a substantial amount of confidential information. However, since then, I had not received any communication from them. My attempts to reach out via email yielded no response, prompting me to call the firm. Surprisingly, they informed me that they had sent a letter via mail but were unwilling to disclose the reason for their decision not to pursue my case anymore over the phone. This left me puzzled and frustrated, especially considering their initial interest and commitment to representing me. The entire process has been time-consuming, and I find it disconcerting that my private information was shared without any apparent progress in my case. Furthermore, this legal firm is located in the same city as the headquarters of my previous employer and the employer in this case, I can't help but harbor suspicions about the motives behind their request for my confidential information and repeated requests to take me on as a client. Why would they have me fill out the information to have access to my medical information that had not changed since my other phone conversations with them, and then suddenly after being granted access to that information, drop my case? This is very suspicious. I called them to make sure they are no longer representing me and wont come at me for 20-25% of any settlement and they said apparently, that they will not as they did not do any filings. read more

I hired Atty Fitzgerald to represent me in an SSDI claim, her staff didn't file all the documents within the 5 day required timeline prior to my hearing. The judges office reached out to me three days in advance and I contacted Atty Fitzgerald directly, she begged me to withdraw because she wasn't ready for my hearing. My case was denied and when it was, Atty Fitzgerald sent me a letter withdrawing from my case and referred me to other attorneys in the area, although she "believed it had merrit with the Appeals Counsel" and refused to represent me further. Fast forward, new my attorney won in both Federal Court and a subsequent remand hearing four years later. Suddenly Atty Fitzgerald who had not only withdrawn, came climbing out of the woodwork with a fee petition for 25% of my backpay which at that point due to her horrible representation and withdrawl was substantial. Judge denied her request and reprimanded her for frivolous fees and over-charging..........she has been been fighting this ruling for over eight months which has not only delayed my backpay but also monthly benefit. Bottom line, don't hire her, she will dump you and when/if you succeed later her claims will significantly delay any benefits you are entitled to that make a direct impact on your life. Beyond delaying my backpay and monthly entilement for nearly nine months, she is also delaying my son's auxiliary benefit because she is challenging that also despite her voluntarily withdraw and judge's ruling against her claim. So if you want an attorney to represent you and not bail out at the last minute then withdraw only to then further delay your benefits Atty Fitzgerald is the the one. If you want a clean representation and quick resolution look elsewhere and stay far away from Atty Fitzgerald. read more

I want everyone to know that I support the Fitzgerald Law Firm 1,000%. Here is my experience with working with them and the help I received. You see I had a knee replacement about a year earlier and during a high wind I was thrown to the ground and broke my knee cap, while on the job. When I was injured, I never had any thoughts of hiring a lawyer. As time went on, workmen's comp. was trying to jerk me around. My doctor warned me many times that I better hire a lawyer to protect my future and help me get some justice. Well, I waited and one day when it was time for me to go back to work, my leg started to act up. I could barely walk, so back the the ER and after 3 hours I was taken upstairs. It was found out I had MRSA in my knee and the replacement had to be taken out and a peg put in it's place. I laid in a nursing home for nearly 4 months before they would allow me to go back home. It was at this time I decided to hire an attorney to help me. I searched all over the place for a lawyer I felt I could trust. I made a call to the Fitzgerald Law Firm and spoke with them about my problem. They were so good to me, sent me all the paperwork, guided me on what I should be looking for and to report to them every chance I had. I went back home for a month and half, then back into the hospital. Once I was released, back to the nursing home again. So, after I was released a second time from the nursing home I was now restricted on my traveling and no more driving. I purchased a Scootaround scooter to get around my village. Lucky the van service allow me to drive right into the van. All this time the Fitzgerald Law Firm was always contacting me on how I was doing and I would email them updates after every doctor appointment and PT appt. They really cared for me. I had even a bigger problem when Workman Cop. stopped my weekly checks, claiming they will not pay for anymore of my health care. They did this 4 days before my 66 birthday, and I had planned on working till I was 70. I loved my job. So I drop in money earnings by almost 3/4 of my normal pay. I was going deeper in debt, but I kept on informing the lawyers how I was doing and they worked their butts off for me. I got what I thought was a very good deal, so if you are looking for an attorney, I will bet my life on this statement, you can't get anyone better than the Fitzgerald Law Firm. If you want a lawyer who keeps you informed, answers your questions and respects your requests. I would look elsewhere. Rachel Fitzgerald from Fitzgerald and Bomier has the worst customer service I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. After being injured at work (I had back surgery as a result). I hired Rachel Fitzgerald to represent me. I was worried that I shouldn't hire a lawyer because once the case was settled I feared I would end up owing money. After all, once she got her expenses 1st, then her 20%, then I paid my insurance company back, out of the remaining amount, I would owe money, because you can't get pain and suffering. But I was told uncontested amounts and doctor bills are not considered when lawyers take their 20%. I was also told that workers comp would probably deny, they always do. So I hired her. She seemed very nice, caring and receptive when I first spoke with her, even returning my call almost immediately to answer more questions. However that all changed the minute I signed the contract with her. After the contract was signed it was like pulling teeth to get any answers. And when I did get hold of her she constantly interrupted me instead of listening to my concerns. She was my lawyer for approximately 16 months and I can count the number of times I spoke with her on one hand. And believe it or not, the case is over but I never once, met her. Her way of keeping me updated was to send me correspondence in the mail, (usually a copy of something I was sent by someone else already) no explanation as to what it was or what it meant. As for other communication, there was none, if I called her I only got to speak to one of her assistants, rarely ever her. (unless I got mad and demanded it, then it was as if I was putting her out, to have to waste her time with me). On top of bad communication, she did not respect my requests. I had asked for things to be emailed, not sent via usps, (I live in a small town and didn't want everyone knowing my business) this was NOT done. Turned out workers comp did pay my medical bills, without a fight and paid me a little additional money, after the doctor said I was at end of care and would never get better. Anyway I had already hired Rachel Fitzgerald and she did get me a little more, and I guess she did okay, after all she has a stake in getting me as much as possible, however with permanent restrictions, I'm not sure she didn't take the easy way out and excepted a lower amount instead of fighting in court. Anyway, once I signed the deal they stopped paying me the portion they had already said they were going to give me, saying it was wrapped in my final settlement. I was unaware this would be done (my fault, I guess I should've known). However I don't think Rachel should have gotten her 20% out of that portion. (which she did). It wasn't a lot but it is the principle of it. And one last thing. When we neared the end of the case, I sent an email asking that they try to keep expenses down and not request another statement from every doctor or clinic I went to, as I had not seen one in months, so there would be none. Guess what... they did anyway, on my statement showing what expenses were incurred. There it was another $112 charged to me for asking for doctor bills, that I had already told them "did not exist" So to sum things up, If you want a lawyer who keeps you updated, doesn't run expenses up, and follows your directions (after all your supposed to be her boss) I would stay away from Rachel Fitzgerald from Fitzgerald and Bomier. Thank God workers comp, didn't contest the medical bills or I would be owing money on top of now being permanently disabled. read more

I had asked to meet with Rachel the week prior to my social security hearing and didn't get a call back. When I called again I was told she would meet with me 15 minutes prior to my hearing. She showed up at the exact time of the hearing and NEVER spoke with me prior. She lost my case and when I called to talk to her about it she told me her policy is to NOT meet with her clients ahead of time, that she has too many clients to do that and if she met with everyone that's all she would be doing. When I respectfully told her that because of how she handled my case I would have to think about whether I want her to represent me further, she told me she was going to make the decision for me, said she would not take my appeal and then hung up on me!! I was respectful and professional the entire time but was honest about how i felt she failed me by not meeting with me before my hearing and in true arrogant lawyer form she hangs up on me!! WOW!! Do NOT use this law firm if you want competent professional representation!! If I could give them 0 or negative stars I would!!
