This business didn't have very honest practices. A male family member called in and spoke with Michael to get pricing on some horizontal blinds and we described exactly what we wanted and was quoted a rate that we agreed to. Later when I came in to make the payment and place the order, Michael quoted us a higher rate. Maybe because he was trying to take advantage of females by quoting higher, but it isn't a fair or ethical practice. When we told the family member who called, he called Michael again and asked why the rate was higher than what was discussed on the phone. Then Michael said there was a misunderstanding and he then switched the rate back to the original one quoted on the phone. Shady practice. By the way, the $5 blinds isn't really accurate name because the majority of the blinds here are well over that rate. read more

We received great service, from multiple employees. Everyone was very nice, and accommodating to our needs. We dealt with three different employees and every single one was awesome. The first quote I got was from 3-Day Blinds, and they quoted me (with a straight face), $1600.00 for what I wanted. The blinds I chose were $300 more expensive at Home Depot, and the ones I ordered here were exactly what I was looking for. They came in very fast, were completely custom, and were measured perfectly. All the hardware was included, and my husband was able to hang them in an afternoon. This place used to be better than now in service and quality. Now, the price at this place is higher than online order. The quality of the 1" PVC blinds are not acceptable. The white blinds turns yellowish within months. The vertical blinds are too thin and the gaps are not consistent. I order from online purchase and can save 30% from this place. read more

Dishonest bussiness owner and employee. I went to this place to get shutter for my 5 windows. The first person that helped me is a lady. Told her that I wanted the one that is $18 per sqf and gave her the sizes, and she calculated the price and I agree. She then let another guy to help me put the order in. Little that I know this guy wrote down the cheaper kind of the shutter on the Invoice. He then looked at the price that the lady gave me, did his calaculation and said " Oh she gave you a good deal" even tho he knew that ie the price for the more expensive one. I then pay half of the total for down payment. After about a month I got a call that it's ready. I went there, paid the rest of the balance and went home with the items. When I got home and about to install I found out that these are the cheaper one. I called them and went back there. The lady and a guy was so defensive and trying to say that this was what I ordered. The lady then recalculated the price and admit that this was the price for the more expensive one. The guy then told me that the owner named Laurent(Lawrence) will call me. The owner then called me telling me that according to the invoice the order is correct and put the blame on me. He offer me to install it for me free of charge or returned the different. I told him that I don't want that cheaper kind of shutter that's why I order the better one on the first place. At the end I got tired of arguing and there's no sign of good intention from him nor anyone in that company so I accept that he pay back the difference. Worse service ever. Would give 0 starts if possible. My dad went to buy a blind yesterday. The sales woman was so unprofessional and impatient. My dad had some product related questions, but this sales woman was not willing to answer any. Every answer was short and makes you feel she wanted you to get out ASAP. Because he didn't want to go to a different store that's 10 miles away, my dad still bought a blind this sales woman pointed to with her fingers (yes that's all she did, in addition to those short answers). Today when he tried to installed the blind, my dad found the orientation was wrong so he called the store and see if he could have it replaced. The same sales woman answered the call and was extremely rude. She was literally blaming my dad for picking the wrong product during the call. She said "why didn't you pick up the correct one yesterday"? She must have forgotten how impatient and unwilling she was when my dad asked her questions. It's not a lot of $$$ ($50) so my dad decided to eat up the cost and buy from another store. The woman who initially answered the phone was extremely rude and I asked to speak to the owner but she refused to transfer me. My father is remodeling his home and Five Dollar Blinds was highly recommended by his contractor. My father's home is in North Orange County. When he visited the store he was told that the OC is too far for them to go to and told my dad that he had to do his own measurements if he wanted them to do his blinds. They basically let my dad walk out of the store without even trying to earn his business. If they don't need my dad's business, why would they care about yours? I purchased my blinds from this place about a year ago. Was already forewarned about the customer service. So, you get what you pay for and I was pleased so, I beg the differ. A friend of mine recommended this place to us and yes, I rated them a 4 star because it's decently priced compared to others. Customer service should be more personable but as long as you have your measurements and know how to install your own blinds, etc, you're good to go! Even when I was missing a part, I called and spoke with the same lady and she said "it's ok, we forgot to put because it was big order so, come pick up." We later found it in another set of cellophane, so, phew, we didn't have to drive out because we live in OC so, it's a drive for us to El Monte. Thank goodness, I have a significant other who can install blinds like a pro. To think, we have spent thousands to have the job done in two of our homes and to come here, was a total discount!!
