Came in with kids (aka tiny humans who spill everything), and made what I thought was a pretty standard request: a water cup with a lid. You know, to prevent turning the table into a splash zone? But apparently, that was a bold and unreasonable ask. The adults not getting lids? Fine. But the kids? Tough crowd. Then I asked about a booster seat and you would've thought I requested a throne carried out by royal attendants. They don't have them which is fine but the attitude to tell me that? Not necessary. As if this location even deserves one star. They don't. Everyone must be high because no employees seemed to care about their job. EVERYONE needs to be fired at this Conroe location and they need to completely re-staff all employees. I'm never this passionate about such disappointing customer service, but WTF?! I'm calling corporate and explaining that their food is cold, burnt, dry and total crap. Of course the order was not at all correct. We ordered two burgers plain with some toppings on the side. Why did they just decide to SKIP THE SIDES? Eating the puny burger proved to be something I couldn't do, even though I was STARVING! Seriously?! There was a day when I would desire a Five Guys burger. Apparently this is no so anymore. Well, I was in the mood for a good burger and I was in Conroe, so we stopped. I am sorry we did. We ordered a plain cheese burger for my daughter and a cheese burger, all the way with jalepenos for me, an order of fries to share and two regular drinks. Just a spot under $30. St the register, I felt rushed even though there was no one in line behind us. My younger daughter was trying to figure out what to have on it and all I heard repeated was " regular or large size(sodas? Maybe) as we were not past the what she wanted on her burger. We got our drinks and the Mello Yello was really off tasting. Our order came in a time one would expect. And it was greatly anticipated as we had not had a meal here in quite some time. We were greatly disappointed. The burger was crushed and wrapped I the foil, the fries were just warm, not hot like they were fresh out of the drier like I have experienced in the past. The burger itself was bland. One was cooked med, the other well done. Not sure how this happens on the same bun. Over all, it was dissapointing at best. Tried this location for the first time during the weekday! Was a bit put off that they have soooooo many fries. Like really?!? A few weeks ago, I Went in about an hour before closing, ordered, didn't wait very long for the food, maybe 10 minutes and I was really craving some five guys so at first I was happy. When I got home is when the problems began, I opened the bag and the order was so far off from being what I wanted it's crazy. Instead of a plain bacon cheeseburger, I got a burger that was full of jalapeños and all the vegetables that be possibly put on the burger. I called up and the manager asked what I wanted to do, I asked if they would remake it and let me come pick it up, and it was about 10 minutes before closing, I know that sucks but that's not my problem, after they close I don't have much of a choice in Conroe but other lower quality fast food joints. She said I could come in and get a burger on her next shift, which may be all good for some people, but everything else is closed, this would've been a 5 star review if she had stayed open an extra five minutes to make their wrong a right. read more

Been to a few Five G's in other cities and really glad one is in Conroe, but given it's bad location at the very end of a shopping center, I hadn't been to this one yet, but it doesn't disappoint. I love actual burgers and a place that makes a good one is great. Not a five star dining experience, just a notch above fast food. Huge interior though, clean, bright and well maintained. Burgers are hand formed and while not huge, a perfect size for the bun and for stacking, since if you dont like the size, you can get more patties. But the best part is all the toppings, all fresh. You want raw onions, grilled onions, fresh mushrooms, green peppers or whatever they got them. Btw, they have fresh jalapeños as well, which means they aren't pickled. That means there is no pickle taste. Instead they are just hot but not too hot. I also got the bacon which I don't recommend as it had no flavor and just adds fat. Save that for the fries which are freshly cut and perfectly fried then topped with a sugar/salt mixture. Also, be aware the large portion feeds 2-4 people. The place is not cheap (sonic prices) and if you don't want a hot dog, burger or veggie only sandwich, or if you want a milkshake or something this place isn't it. Understanding it is a burger joint, and given the fresh quality and awesome fries, I give it around 4 stars and hope for it's success in our poor restaurant starved Conroe. read more

The great thing about Five Guys is the fact that is is a decent chain and has consistent burgers and fries. The burgers and fries are good quality, but it would be very hard to rank them within my top ten burger and fry joints. I liken a five guys burger to that of a VERY good Whataburger. The quality is great, and the fries are very good, but not out of this world as some may have you believe. The coolest part about Five Guys is that you can eat and shell peanuts while you wait for your main course. I REALLY like this. We eat here frequently. The food is always wonderful!! Have no complaints. However the establishment needs a good thorough cleaning. With flu season here and the Corona virus I was very disappointed to see most tables dirty. The establishment only had two other customers at the time of my visit yesterday the staff was not busy - just hanging out. One lady came out to clean the tables with nothing but dry paper towels. Very unsanitary regardless of flu season. The floor is filthy too. It made me wonder how clean is the area where my food is prepared? Desperate need of a strong manager here with an eye for a clean, well represented restaurant. I love the food but probably will pass on it for awhile. Hoping they will clean it up. Messed up our order twice. Second time was almost certainly on purpose as it was almost completely wrong. My son asked for lettuce pickles and cheese only, they gave him a burger with ketchup and onions. This was after mistakenly adding mayonnaise the first time.
