From the moment you walk into the door to the moment you get your food. The whole staff at five guys and Enfield is just five stars. I told them that I needed a bun less lettuce wrap burger since I do have a gluten allergy and I'm on keto but they handled it very professionally. Something about five guys burgers. Even though I got the little cheeseburger it was satisfying from first bite to last My son who's never tried five guys and that was the reason why we went had the cheeseburger with bacon. He honestly didn't realize that it was going to be coming with two patties. He thought I was just getting a kids size little burger when he didn't realize I was just getting one regular size patty. When I first walked in a was greeted by the nicest worker, he asked how I was and how my day was going, then he started taking my order before I was at the counter so he could get the burgers on the grill asap! After doing some shopping in the area, we decided to try Five Guys. It's gotten a lot of publicity in the recent past and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Upon arriving, the place wasn't too busy, but by the time we left, it was nearly full. We got to the place around 11:45am on a Saturday got in line and ordered. I had the hamburger and my friend had the little hamburger. The regular burger has two patties and is $5.79. You can select from about 10 different items to put into the burger. I chose lettuce, tomato, and mushrooms. We also got one order of french fries. After 10 minutes, our number (96) was called. I got some ketchup and dug into my burger. It was very good. It has a more home made BBQ grill taste to it. The french fries are thicker cut than both McDonald's and In-n-Out and we also very good. The service was friendly and fairly quick. BTW, they also have peanuts in the shell for your consumption. If there's a Five Guys near me when I'm hungry, I would not hesitate to eat there again. Xie Xie! read more

OK, except for the 1500 calories (thanks for posting so I know to give hubby the larger half of the French fries) and the half pound I gained, this is a great hamburger experience. Starters are unlimited peanuts in the shell, always a nice treat. Also, they fry all the fries from scratch so no problem for our no salt order (too much salt being the main reason why we seldom patronized this place until we figured out that request, duh!), and they do NOT use Canola (Yay!). It is peanut oil. The burgers are grilled in their own juice which tells you they are high fat, but, again, yay, no Canola. I feel like the next day is a green smoothie day, but Five Guys fills the bill for the occasional guilty pleasure of fast food in Enfield. read more

First time at a Five Guys. Since a calorie counter I opted for the Vegetable Sandwich, no cheese, added pickles, no onions - ~280 Calories. No fries. What a great fairly healthy sandwich that was very tasty. Enjoyed a lunch with friends and felt full after. A nice option for those not wanting a healthier meal at a fast food place. Terrible service, the manager Chad actually yelled at me! After winning for 15 minutes for two cheeseburgers, and one regular fry they finally gave me my food with cold french fries. My milkshakes were no longer cold, and when I requested a refund, Chad lost his temper and threaten to call the police. Five Guys has seriously upped its game! I visited Five Guys for the first time in like about a year and I love the changes that they have made; such as the addition of milk shakes and the option of a smaller fries option because seriously, "who can finish a 'small fries' all by themselves?!" Their burgers are still juicy and delicious as always, and their portion size is still generous. What I really like most about Five Guys as oppose to other burger places is that you can make your burger fit your personal taste due to the many different customizable options on the menu available (2^18 if my math is correct). What impressed me the most during my recent visit was the strawberry milkshake I ordered, it was smooth, creamy, and above all there were little bits of strawberries within it! I thought the cheese burger I ordered at Five Guys was way better than any I have had from the fast food burger giants in the industry; unequivocally, hands down, no stinking contest, the very best! The price point will be 20% higher on average but oh so worth it in my opinion. Burgers are cooked to order, the fries are hand cut in house and they too are very good with a nice deep potato flavor which does not come through among the big boys. This was a delightful eye opening experience, good product, friendly employees and prompt order delivery. Had a very poor experience recently. Called ahead (first time I've tried that). Arrived, paid, cashier, heard him tell the prep people I was there, then the long wait began. I sat facing the counter and waited. And waited, and waited. People ordered behind me, not calling ahead, picked up their orders. At this point I got up and waited next to the counter. Orders kept coming up. The person I paid with passed me by a couple times. Finally I notice a bag sitting on top of the fry station. So after they serve 12 orders beyond my number I ask if that's my order. Guy grabs it, gives it to me, walks away. These things happen. Not sure why I didn't try this place sooner... Delicious patties and a ton of fresh toppings like grilled onions and jalapenos to make my breath smell nice for my wife on the car ride home. If you don't know, the regular burgers come as a double-pattie for about 5 or 6 bucks depending on avec ou sans fromage but all the toppings are "free" or um, no extra charge. I'm not sure why you'd order a large fry 'cuz they just dump a small bucket of fresh, actually-made-out-of-potatoes fries into a container and essentially in your bag. Perhaps the best part is the guy that takes care of cleaning the joint. He was friendly, personable, chatted with customers, and cleaned tables and floors the whole time. Here at Five guys, they really are generous when it comes to the 'Freedom Fries'. They give you DOUBLE, what you order, a 'little' size is really a regular, and a 'regular' is really a large. Still a fabulous place to grab a burger. Two patties fresh off the grill with BBQ sauce and bacon did the trick last night. Very pleased with my order. Tip...for one person, get the "little" order of fries. You won't have quite a metric ton, but you'll have more than enough to fill you up. Okay. So, I don't eat meat. I can't really say much about their burgers...however, my boyfriend, a carnivore extraordinaire, was NOT impressed by this place at all. We ate there twice and he had the same thought each time. Nothing special. I was a fan of their seasoned (or were they cajun?) fries, but when I ate them the second time I got very ill. Strong 4. All day long. I am a self declared french fry snob and these are my go-to. Only one other place beats their fries but I have to go on vacation for them, so Five Guys is a touch more convenient. Burgers are legit too, go ahead and get them 'all the way' for the full satisfying bite. But for me the fries are what pull me in everytime. They are always fresh, hot, salty, and generous. Love it. If you're a food snob, a vegetarian (although they do have something called "veggie sandwich" and grilled cheese) or have heart problems, don't bother coming. I don't know you would try anyway - it makes no attempt to be a upscale dining experience. The burgers are an excellent medium to get the ton of toppings you can select into your mouth - I always get the little cheeseburger which is plenty. I also get regular sized cajun fries... they fill the bag anyway so I don't know what you get when you order a large fry. The fries are greasy, floppy and awesomely seasoned, just like I like 'em! For lightning fast service, order online and pick up - they wait for your fries, anyway. Like everyone else says, the lot does suck big time. Not nearly big enough. read more

Yes yes yes! This place was great, the Bacon cheeseburger was great! The way they prepared the burgers was superb and spot on. Hot Burger, cold toppings. The portions of fries was huge, which explained why they had BAGS of fresh potatoes available. All fresh! The dining room was big, though a few tables weren't cleaned and wiped. Just what you expect from Five Guys, great burger with great fixins. But my small fries were just that, fries that were small. Mostly the small bits and broken ends that collect at the bottom. The order was almost all these, like l got the last of the day fries, but this was at. 4:12pm. I was the only customer in the place. The food is good, but they put it in paper for a reason - very greasy. It's expensive, $8 for a single patty. Fries are good and reasonably priced. Skip the soda fountain and go for a shake instead. If you're looking for something better than fast food but don't quite have the time or budget for a restaurant class burger joint, then Five Guys is the place to be. The burgers are made fresh upon order and the same goes for the fries. This visit I ordered a cheeseburger (double patty- they have little burgers which just have one patty) with grilled onions. I passed on the fries but I normally order the Cajun style. They've got great flavor and pack a little kick. I'm actually happy to see that they now offer a smaller order of fries. I'm sure you still get a decent serving of bag fries, which I'll have to follow up on. (Previous reviews touch on the bag fries.) I also passed on a drink but they offer, supposedly, 100 flavors.
