Opened up today so we had to give it a try. They screwed up the first order. 2 of the 3 burgers we ordered where made wrong. We called the order in and they didnt even start on it until we got there. I got the regular cheeseburger which is huge! and got it all the way w/o onion. Its a wendys burger !!! nothing like in n out. Wendys is my favorite and i still prefer wendys over this. The fries are nothing like in n out also. I really liked the cajun fries and they are drowning in cajun seasoning. I was really disappointed in my first five guys burger. With all the hype i thought it would be unbelieveable like smashburger, not !! So the fabled five guys finally found their way to the Inland Empire! I was excited. Despite the line out the door, we decided to give it a shot. Although the line out the door may be a deterrent for some, rest assured that the line moved along rather quickly. AND ... you can munch on peanuts while you wait, so if you're starving, no worried. Peanuts will satisfy the hunger. Finally we made it to the counter, and we had plenty of time to pick our burger toppings. All toppings are of no charge, so you can pile on as much or as little as you like. My toppings of choice included mayo, lettuce, grilled onion, grilled mushrooms, A-1 steak sauce and jalapeno peppers. We also ordered french fries, 1 small to share, per advice from the girls that work there. Considering the amount of people there, the wait for the burger and fries wasn't long. My burger was very tasty, nice fresh beef and all the toppings were also nice & fresh. The Jalapenos were bright green, very flavorful but didn't set my mouth on fire, so I was happy. The fries were ok. There was a LOT of them. I DO normally like french fries, but these ones were not the best. First of all.... potato skin was ON. Not normally something I enjoy. Also they were pretty big, which sometimes tend to make them too soft in my opinon. Also, once these fries go cold, that's it, they're done. So .... Five Brothers, I grant Thee 3 Stars! I was excited about finally trying this place. I'd heard such great things, and had seen so many pictures that I was confident this would be an amazing burger joint. Boy, was I wrong. You'll walk through the door and be greeted by extremely loud music. Yes, I had to shout my order for the lady to hear. I ordered a cheeseburger, shared some fries, and a soda. All in all, I was pretty flabbergasted at the prices. At first glance they seem kind of similar to In N' Out, but as the total adds up you realize it's actually more expensive. I was extremely disappointed to open my burger to see a pile of mess laying in the foil wrapper. As I lifted my burger the pile of onions, ketchup, pickles, and lettuce grew larger as it fell out from all sides of the extremely soggy/wet bun. Then it got even larger as my meat patty crumbled into tiny pieces. Definitely one of the messiest burgers I've eaten, and I've learned that mess doesn't always equal taste (as much as Carl's Jr. would like you to believe). Wasn't a huge fan of the fries. The peanut oil they were fried in is overwhelming. They were way too well done, and just tasted awful. I'll stick with it's obvious direct competitor In N' Out. I was happy to hear that Five Guys finally made it to the West Coast and that it was on par with InNOut. Decided to go check it out and was so disappointed. IMO, the food was pricey. I spent $18 and change for two burgers, two drinks and we shared fries. Customer service was friendly, I liked the free peanuts but our food was terrible. Maybe they just forgot to season our patties but our burgers were horrible. They tasted like nothing-even adding salt didn't help. To make it worse, our fries sucked too. Nothing had any flavor. After polling others it seems that everyone has been disappointed with the Rancho location but the other West Coast ones have better reviews. I wanted to taste the hype of Five Guys. i had seen reviews and heard others say it's sooo good so i had to finally try it. Overall, it was just okay. it didn't have any unique sauces or flavor to make it different from a home bbq. just a basic burger with toppings galore, which was nice. the wet vegetables made the buns soggy.the lettuce and onion were all in bits, so made for a very messy burger. the fries were good. i honestly wouldnt revisit because it was too expensive for the quality of food. the advertisement of any/all toppings you want make it sound like it'd be a deal, but it's actually quite expensive... i don't think i'd revisit unless i had no other choice. read more

Had to see what all the hype and hate was about. There was a line nearly out the door, which I wasn't surprised about considering how much I had been hearing about the place. Still, line went pretty fast. Used to typical fast food places, I was thinking the little cheeseburger (a la McDonalds or Jack in the Box) would actually be small little burger, so I though what is simply labeled as a cheeseburger would be a single patty. But no, their cheeseburger is a double patty and the little burger is the single patty. I'm glad that they are aiming to impress with their upsizing, but it is just confusing to go against the norm of really any standard classification for burger sizes. I decided to keep it relatively simple and order a little cheeseburger with bacon and the standard fixings. This along with the wife's burger and two orders of fries I want to say was over $20. Yeesh! Overall it was a decent burger. The bacon was tasty and crisp, the patties were juicy, but thin and the bun was a bit too soft and simple. It was so simple in ingredients and structure that it was like having a very good homemade burger. That does say something about the freshness and quality of the ingredients, but it doesn't make it special enough for me to seek out and especially considering the price. Since there has been a lot of comparison to the local fave In-n-Out, I'll say that at least In-n-Out burgers are something special that you cannot easily duplicate at home or at another place (as hard as Baker's tries to). This was the second time that I visited this Five Guy's location but the first time that I have dined here. On my first visit it was Saturday around 6PM a few weeks after they first opened, the line spanned along the sides of three walls and we decided to go to In-N-Out instead. This time, my brother and I arrived after 9:30PM on a Saturday night and there were still about a dozen people in line and another dozen arrived after us even though they close at 10PM. The restaurant is set up similarly to the other five guys that I have been to in other states - boxes of peanuts with cardboard baskets and scoops, ketchup dispensers and soda fountain for self service. I like that you can choose from a fair selection of burger toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, grilled or raw onions, jalepenos, etc.) to customize your burger. We both ordered the little cheeseburgers and shared a regular order of fries. I asked for the cajun spices on the side for the fries. Unlike in other states, this Five Guys needed to post the calories for each item. The values were a little scary and provides additional incentive to not order the regular burger. Similar to my visits to other Five Guys I found the burger to be just okay. The burger is not that flavorful (even with the jalepenos, bell peppers and grilled onions). Also, though there were plenty of fries for the two of us, it was the fewest number of fries that I have ever received from a Five Guys. In my previous experience I have always thrown away more fries that I ate because of the sheer volume of fries that they served. The restaurant was clean and the staff was pretty efficient about taking, cooking and serving everyone's order while we were there. They don't have Milkshakes!! My husband and I ordered cheeseburgers with everything. We thought this would be a good foundation to build an opinion off of, I was really upset by the fact that they don't have milkshakes :( but anyway... Upon receiving our order I found it convenient that they number the burgers and place a receipt outside of the bag with corresponding numbers for each burger. This way you don't have to guess which burger belongs to. So, here's what I thought. Looks: wrapped in foil, my burger was smashed and buns were crumbled and falling apart. Didn't look appetizing. Taste: Bland and boring. I didn't find my burger very flavorful. All I can remember is there was wayyyy too many pickles. The ingridients weren't distributed evenly so each bite tasted different. Concentrated mushroom bite, onion bite, pickle bite. Bleghh. Just not that good. Fries: Not that great either. Overall, I'm not sure what all the hype is about, the burgers aren't that great. Had lunch with a friend here today who had never been, but has heard good things. I told him my take on the Five Guys franchise many times in the past. Still, I figured we can give it a shot. I've watched a group of friends compare this chain to In & Out extensively over the last few weeks, so it took me by surprise when a friend on Facebook announced that this one had opened last Wednesday only a few blocks from my work, so I could try it out myself. Noon on Saturday. Line out the door. Fairly quick through the line, though. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and regular sized fries, Cajun style. The burger is better than In & Out. The serving of fries was enormous. I'm not a fry fan, though, so aside from the spices, I wasn't impressed. I did find it fascinating that they post which farm sent them the potatoes, though. Have been coming to this location for more than 3 years and it never disappoints. Come hungry leave happy. They are very generous with the fries yum yum. I love the freshness and all the veggie options it enhances the flavor. The Cajun fries are my favorite and the cool soda machine light lemonade with cherry is my go to beverage. I went into Five Guys after reading all the reviews, so I knew what I was getting myself into. I'd heard everything from absolute trash to the 2nd Coming. And, they ARE very good burgers. Fresh, hot, lots of toppings. They'll never take the place that In&Out has in my heart, but that doesn't mean I can't go to two burger joints. It wasn't crowded when I was there, but with their ordering system (tell the cashier what you want on your burger) and over a dozen different condiments, I could see how the line would drag on pretty quick. Place was spotless, even considering the amount of peanut shells and husks people drop on the floor (stay away if you've got a peanut allergy!!!). They had one young kid just going around constantly sweeping up, and he was really making an effort!! I got the bacon cheeseburger (the "Five Guys" way - mayo, relish, grilled onion, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, ketchup & mustard). Burger was a double patty, lots of melted cheese, plenty of condi's (without being drippy!!!). Sesame bun was fresh and didn't fall apart. Burger was hot (Thank You, God!!) A cold burger, whether not completely cooked or cold from contact with cold condiments is one of my pet peeves. Fries were plentiful and fresh, but a bit limp (Yes, Virginia, I'm one of those freakos who slow down the process at In&Out by ordering their fries well done). Drinks were self-serve and free refills. Lots of choices (Sprite Zero?? Go figure!) Boxes of self-serve salted peanuts were scattered about. Good way to fill me up before I get my burger. Summup. For anyone who likes a good burger. I have never understood the hype with In-N-Out and I have found my new go to place. The burgers were fresh, juicy, flavorful, hand formed patties. Your choice of topping such as relish, grilled onions, jalapenos, tomato, A1, mushrooms, and all your basic toppings and veggies. You can order single or double patties, with or without bacon and cheese. My youngest had the hot dog and he loved it and the same 'free' toppings I listed before are also available for the dogs. We ordered both the regular fries and the cajun fries. They were thicker fries, like you might make at home and not the little match sticks you get at the "other place". The cajun fries were so yummy! It was busy, but the food came out fast. You order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. We sat at the outside tables - inside was a little crowded. Wow, I really like their burgers. They make it like I would. I am not really a fan of the french fries though. I like mine crispy and these are kinda greasy and limp. the Cajun fries have too much seasoning salt for my taste. BTW a regular size fries is enough for two people. Firstly, you can't compare this place to In-N-Out. Just because it's red and white all over doesn't make it the direct competitor. I would compare this place more to Fatburger because of the variety of junk you can add to your burger, your options for fries, and the price range. Despite being able to make this comparison, this place does not impress me. Their burgers are made with cheap ground beef (high percentage of fat in beef=cheap), the burger was greasy and the greasiness made me sick. I would not eat here again. Okay peeps I gave in!. Finally went to RC location today in spite of being so close to home I never went, until now. Got there around noon, place was pack , most tables were occupied. Order 'little' cheese burger, while in fact has 550 calories so just watch out ladies :) I had 'everything' on toppings meaning it has; mustard, ketchup, sliced tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, mushroom, and onion. It was a quite size burger, cooked perfectly, however I notice that the bun went quite soggy pretty fast. Note to self: opt out few of toppings may be the solution, so lets see what happen with the hamburger bun on the next visit. The prices is pretty reasonable, although slightly more expensive than In & Out Burgers. BTW the regular burger has double patties with over 800 cal, ouch! The cajun fries is to die for! is a must try.. there is always line in the front of 2 soda fountain, which I do not like, and ordered a bottle of water instead. We come here a lot. We visit other locations as well and have the saw issue but this location seems to be the worst. I always ask for my grilled onions to be well done. The last 3 times I have gotten warm but still raw onions. I usually pick it up on my way to work so I don't get a chance to check it or have it fixed. Last Friday I made sure when I ordered my burger to stress I would like them grilled a a well done. I asked when they called me to pick up my order as well. Yes yes and yes your onions are well done. One of the newest burger joint in Rancho Cucamonga! I just went there to try it out and my experience was wonderful. while i was standing in line, there were boxes of peanuts. you get to eat these peanuts for free while your waiting in line. The menu is very simple. It reminded me of an IN N OUT. I had myself a bacon burger it had 2 meat patty so like a double double bacon strips tomato lettuce grilled onion mushrooms all these sides are all free. The burger was absolutely amazing and delicious but a bit pricy. if you wanted to get a combo, then it will probably cost you about $10 dollars just for a burger meal? ehh. not really worth it. So, i ended up just getting fries. omg their fries are not the best. it was okay. not recommended.. Five Guys is the Waffle House of Burgers. You need to go out of state to really get the real taste of this place. Now that Five Guys is popping up everywhere in Southern California, it just doesn't have that same attraction. With that being said, this location sucks bad. I had Five Guys in Detroit Michigan and swore it was better than In-N-Out. Yeah... it was that good. This Rancho location is just bad. Everything just looks and tastes like it was dumped in a vat of grease. The fries are usually over spiced. The burgers just gush fat with every bite. If you really want to enjoy a real Five Guys go towards the East Coast because California just can't pull it off. read more
