WTF?? This place is actually so good! I've never had five guys in my life, and then my friend (like the hungry hippo she is) invites me there. I agree, order my classic Hamburger (lettuce, tomato, ketchup) and it was completely worth the 5 minute wait. The fries were delicious, the burger was delicious, and the milkshake? Delicious!! Worth the money. The other 2 and 1 star reviews are high on crack cocaine. I'm a picky eater, and the burger here was amazing. I don't think any other burger can top FG. This just opened in our hood and I have to say we had a great experience based on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! Everyone was so kind and helped us at every turn. The food is excellent- burgers made from fresh ingredients.a high point is that toppings are unlimited. My daughter Millie goes plain with hers, I like grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapeños and ketchup on mine. The fries are fresh cut and sublime. This location also has yummy milkshakes. We got a cherry one. This is a great addition to our neighborhood food choices. Great food Great service. I went there with my mother and sister superbowl sunday. This was my mothers first time, they made it super easy explaining the small menu. We forgot 2 minutes after we ordered to make them cajun fries, wich they did with a smile. We got our food in good time for a made to order, and as we left one of the employees held the door for us. The burgers are sinfully, spluge-worthy good. I'll get flak for saying this, but they're better than In-n-Out. First, they don't overdo it on the lettuce. Second, the meat is very juicy and patties are much thicker than In-n-Out. Third, excellent selection of toppings, plus great sauces. Fourth, oh the fries. Pretty good hamburger but the bun is like cheap low quality supermarket bun. Lettuce and pickles are excellent. Cherry Milkshake was good and a flavor I hadn't had before. Freebirds is gone, and 5-guys is an improvement. Their burgers are great (although kinda greasy and more pricey than In-N-Out). The Cajun Fries are very good. I do not recommend that you get a milkshake with Bacon in it. I think that is an "acquired taste." Five Guys Cajun Fries are just great! Came out piping hot, well seasoned, not too salty and all around flavorful with their signature thick cut for a creamy versus crunchy texture. I had a "little" order of the cajun fries and "little" cheeseburger and it was plenty. I had my burger "all the way" minus the mayo and mustard. "All the way" means it includes: mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup and mustard. Yay! I am totally a fan. Very happy Five Guys is on The Alameda. Their burgers are solid but nothing fancy. It's like a good backyard burger, fresh with all the toppings, whenever you want it. Fries are tasty as well... nothing fancy or gourmet. I just had their oreo milk shake however and it was the bomb! Get one! You don't be disappointed. Overall really good burgers! Minus one star for not having a combo option (not to the fault of this location, more of a corporate thing). The place reminds me of an old school burger joint with potato sacks as decor. The meat doesn't leak plasma (good thing) and is pretty flavourful for fast food standards. This review is for the guy who was taking the orders, I couldn't get his name but apparently was the only Asian guy with tattoos and a black earing. Usually, when you order any hamburger or hot dog they always ask for the ingredients you want with them (onions, tomato, mayonnaise, etc). Well, this time right after I told him every item he yelled at the guys on the grill station like "three hot dogs" and very quickly asked me "what else" so I said "one little cheese burger" and he yelled again "one party". He continued making the charge in a rush. I really thought they changed the way they make an order and totally assumed my food will come with everything, they way I really needed them. After making the payment I asked him what were the ingredients in my food and he said " no ingredients" What???? I had to run and fix my order with the Hispanic girl who was making the order. Since she was busy my order still got all messy. No mayonnaise in my hot dogs or grilled onions. No mayonnaise in my hamburger. It was our lunch, we don't have this ingredients in our office.
