I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and needed a quick coffee fix. When a spot popped up on Yelp with some great photos, I figured I'd give it a try. Parking ended up being a bit of a walk, which had me second-guessing the decision at first--but I'm glad I stuck with it. The moment I walked in, the space felt thoughtfully designed. The flow of the café is one of the best I've experienced--open, comfortable, and easy to navigate. As soon as the door opened, the barista greeted me right away. The counter is positioned close enough that you don't feel awkward hovering like in some cafés where the bar feels miles away. It immediately felt welcoming. I visited on a weekend during a slower period, but since the café sits right next to a college, I can imagine the line spilling out the door during peak hours. At quieter times though, the layout works well--there's enough space for a couple people to wait without crowding the entrance. I ordered a cortado and an almond croissant. The croissant came warmed, and the texture was spot on: fluffy, layered, and not overly greasy. The almond filling had a really nice balance--nutty with just enough sweetness and a hint of salt to round it out. I was told the pastries are made in-house, and it definitely shows. It tasted like something made with care. The cortado itself was solid--pretty classic, nothing overly fancy. One thoughtful touch I appreciated was that it came with sparkling water, which was great for cleansing the palate. The space itself is fairly spacious and works well if you want a quiet moment to sip your coffee. That said, most of the seating is high stools, so it doesn't really feel like the type of place to settle in and study for hours. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and quality of the food. The one thing that caught me off guard was the price of the croissant at $6.50. It tasted great and I understand prices in this area tend to run higher, especially for house-made pastries--but it's a bit outside what I'd usually spend. Came here last Wednesday while I was in the area to do some work, I've already been to their Kirkland location and have had good impressions. Both cafes I've been to the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. This was my first time trying their toast, but it has been something I wanted to try since the last visit. I got their Smashed Avocado Cream Cheese Toast, which was incredibly spread, every bite had the perfect ratio that made it a filling meal rather than just a light snack that I thought it was going to be. Tasty, seriously some of the best avocado toast I've had in the Pacific Northwest. Coffee was also paired with my toast, I got the Cafe Stefano 12oz (for here). It was aromatic and sweet, enjoyed every sip I had! Props to whoever did the coffee art, looks great! I would definitely come back again real soon, the only thing I would say is that the seating area feels a little desolate, could use some sprucing up with more lighting or decor. I'm visiting from Minnesota, so I'm not sure how it stacks up to other coffee in the area. It was a mixed bag of a place. First - the hot espresso drinks were SO good. If that's what you care about, you can feel good about planning a trip here. I tried the Cafe Stefano and Mocha Bacio, and I highly recommend both. They had complex, yet subtle flavors. Felt like sophisticated twists on latte/mocha without being gimmicky. Also the perfect sweetness (sweet, but not too sweet), I also tried The Missile, which uses their cold brew. Unfortunately, it had a pretty strong tangy/sour taste that I sometime find coffee has. I don't prefer it, but YMMV. I also got a pastry (kouign amann) that was super tasty. I wanted to try a toast, but I had to leave sooner than expected for reasons outlined below. They did seem pricey for toast, though. The GIANT negative here was that the WiFi network was crazy restricted. I could only access Google and Amazon. No news sites, no known-trustworthy business sites, no work sites - frustrating because I wanted to work. Everything worked when I tethered to my phone. I asked if I was on the right WiFi network, which they confirmed (guest network with no password). I was going to ask if it was intentional or if I was just me, but I got distracted when I packed up and left because my phone was going to die (prompting me to leave). I'm unsure if this is related, but I was disappointed to find that the location was in a church. That's not necessarily a deal-breaker for me, but it seemed pretty integrated with the church. The music was religious and seating was clearly in the church space with related signage. Not my scene, but obviously this is totally subjective. If you're a happy Christian, you might love it here. read more

And they also didn't fill it all the way to the top, which I was very sad about since I spent over 7$ on this cup of coffee. After frequenting the Kirkland and Redmond locations, I finally visited the Bellevue store. As expected, good coffee and light food (avocado toast so good!) Super friendly staff and great service. As noted in other reviews, the space is shared with a church. This is a benefit in my view as it provides ample seating and parking (two of the biggest attractions after good coffee in my opinion). This coffee shop is so unique, it's right by Bellevue college and connected to a church. I started going in to work and there is a lot of seating, the staff is friendly and it's so funny the manager Jared was my barista at another coffee shop a few years ago. I automatically recognized him and his free spirited, kind nature. I actually gave that coffee shop 5 stars as well because he made my experience so great! I came in for the first time a little after 8am on a Saturday morning. There was plenty of parking and a few people were already inside. There was a menu board on the wall above the register, but take a look at the paper menus on the side for the full menu with all the food options! Service was quick and I loved my chai latte.
