There was no snow when we arrived but they had man made snow. They had 3 of the 7 closed, even though it said only 2 would be. The highest hill definitely was not the funnest. It was a beautiful location and we loved the fire they had to keep warm.

This place was so much fun! They have about 6 or so different hills you can tube down. Tubes are included at the bottom of each hill. Some of the hills are a bit of a climb to get to the top, especially if you're pulling a little one in the tube behind you haha there were several picnic tables around the park as well as fire pits and food trucks. You are allowed to leave and come back (within your allotted time). The lines for the hills moved pretty quickly and it's fun for all ages. There isn't any double riding but you're able to hold on to one another's tubes on the way down. If you're looking for something fun to do especially with little ones, definitely give this place a try! Oh, also you have to buy tickets online. They don't sell tickets there.

It's a fun snow tubing park. Some of the runs are pretty short. Note they don't have lifts so you'll be walking. Many of the runs shit down at sunset.

Located in cottonwood about 1 hour south of Sedona. Fun fun fun! I want to go again 10 times!…read more This is usually a self guided kayak excursion. Ben came with us today, a special treat and he is amazing, had knowledge of the river, plants, birds. He made sure everyone was safe and had a good experience. The time on the website and email are slightly off. It says 10:00a to 1:00p. This is more than enough. Meeting time is 8:45a and you need to be at meeting area by 9:00a. Then you get on a shuttle for a 10 minute drive to go up river where you will launch. So you car is at the end point of kayaking. We got a tandem inflatable kayak which cost about $150 for 2 people. There are taxes and don't forget gratuities, in cash. Don't know if they take venmo or Zelle. The adventure...so most of it is easy slow floating. There are a few spots where it flows faster and you may have to steer trees and rocks. We came in last week of August, so low water season. The river is only 3-4 feet deep in the majority of places. The weather was perfect today at around 70sF near 9:00a and around 82F at 10:00a. High is 88F at 2-3p. It rained in the last few days so we got very fast flow and completed our trip from 9:00 to 11:15am ish. We were down changing and in the car by 11:30a. In the 2.5 duration, you may get out on land halfway and take a snack / water break and stretch legs for circulation. We were told that high water season is spring. Something about May being the month where they let water out so water is lower then as well. The Verde river provides water to Phoenix. You can be all levels and come. The guide will give you general instructions in the beginning and provide life vests. All ages kids and toddlers can come. If your kid is smaller than perhaps age 12, you may need to bring your own baby or kid sized life vest for them. Your butt and arms, and bag will be wet. They suggest a zip lock bag to hold your phone and wallet, but bring any backpack. It will get a little muddy from your feet (just clean it at home). Definitely need hat, sunglasses. Suggest to bring 1-2 liters of water and snacks. You have time to eat 1 hour in on the land. Suggest you to wear swim suit or quick dry T shirt, and board shorts (for surfing, boogie boarding) or quick dry hiking shorts and water shoes like Teva. There is a lot of trees on the route but you'll get sun. They do not take more than 11-12 people at a time. I hope this helps. I look forward to coming again.

He was super knowledgeable and pointed out a lot of cool geological facts as he bussed us to our drop point. The water was refreshing in the warm sun and definitely worth the trip. We took off at 10am, took our time and got back to our car right about noon. Will definitely be back!!!

They currently offer a…read moreFamily Friday deal where adults get $1 off unlimited summer activities ($59) and unlimited kids activities are $39. The regular price for each activity varies from $10-15 and the gondola rides also vary. Day-of tickets for the gondola when we went were around $20 per ride that day I think. We got our money's worth that day as we tried multiple activities and stayed here from late morning until late afternoon. Some things to note: - The summer tubing is really fun but wear shoes that have more tread or grip on them as the fake grass gets slippery as you ascend up towards the top of the hill. It was difficult for me to haul my tube and the kiddo's tube with the athletic shoes I had. - The treasure hunt was really cool as it was a fossil based treaure panning. The kiddo got a lot of different and distinct fossils including seashells and amber. - The gondola ride is a relaxing scenic route 10 minutes each way. When you get up to the top there is a building (with a restroom I think) and a hiking trail you can go on. Activities that aren't included in the summer unlimited pass are the virtual skiing and disc golf rentals. We had lunch from the Agassiz lounge which was a premium cost for average fare. While there is a designated pet area right next to the summer activity area, pets aren't allowed past this spot. The substrate is wood chip so keep that in mind if your pupper has mobility problems and can't walk on uneven surfaces that well. When we went there were a few benches for people and their dogs to relax and sit. Most of the benches were in the shade which was nice since it was a warm day when we visited. A perk of Snowbowl is that kids can ski here for free in the winter if you set up an account with them. I haven't tried it yet but it would be something fun to do once winter hits.

We arrived shortly after Snowbowl opened and there was already a line to check-in, but it moved quickly. We pre-purchased our tickets ahead of time and everything went smoothly. We also signed up for the complimentary beginner snowboarding class included in our ticket since we were all new. We attempted to snowboard before our class and failed over and over, so were grateful for the class. Our instructor was personable and helpful. He taught us the basics which made snowboarding a lot more enjoyable. After an hour or so of the class, we were free to try the beginner slopes. There was a live DJ on the patio the day of our visit. There was also some type of competition. The food hall didn't have much of a variety and have limited vegan and vegetarian options. Items were a bit pricey, too. Overall, we had a good experience. We would definitely return, especially since this is the closest snowboarding option to us.

Some of these items are so intricately made and engraved, they're like works of art. They had antique firearms and more recent displays from all over the world. Some of the grips were made out of ivory, turquoise and more. Fascinating to see the difference and how firearms have evolved over one hundred or so years.

Fort tuthill offers cabins, hotel rooms, camp sites and yurts. We rented the A Frame rustic cabin which has a bedroom with 1 large bed, another bedroom had two twin beds upstairs and a pull out in the living. Full restroom and full kitchen. Prices have increased substantially in my opinion, but there is plenty of space so you could split the costs if you have to join you. They have Peak and Off-peak rates.... It's only for military and families (active, reserve, retired, etc). They also have smaller studio cabins, a larger cabin that fits up to 12 and some pet friendly units. The grounds are beautiful...for the outdoor enthusiasts, hiking, skiing (seasonal) nearby.... Staff was friendly, large fireplace in the lobby, along with a small convenience area where you can get snacks, beer, coffee and more. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!
