Based on reviews I booked with Afterglow for their signature treatment- then I researched who Natalie was (owner, Nurse Aesthetician), what her experience consisted of and WOW! Let's just say she has lots of AMAZING experience. Upon arrival to the elegant skincare studio you are greeted with a smile. Both Natalie and Nadia are wonderful. My first treatment was their signature facial which included microdermabrasion and all sorts of good things. It definitely de-congested my skin and was just what I needed. Just the experience alone was reaffirming I needed to return for to work on my face some more. A month later I went in for micro-needling which Natalie highly recommended for skin texture, post breakout scarring, fine lines, etc. Right after the needling my face looked bright red, 4 days later it looked the best it has in years - it is so good I have another micro-needling appointment coming up as it has definitely improved discoloration and some acne scars. Was very nice and would have casual conversation while I waited for my appointment. I was one of the first to sign up for her laser hair removal service, she had just bought a machine and offered me a one year deal for $2,000. 6 months into it I had a bad accident that left me in the hospital. Before this had happened we had developed a friendship (I even helped her move into her new office) and she texted me to check on my health and promised to pause my service. Skip to now, I am finally healthy and done with surgeries and can resume the service and tried to contact: - First time attempting she said she had new partners and had to check with them, the office manager called me back and said he would only give me 1 session from the 6 promised/owed - Second time, she said she would speak to him and the partners, the manager calls me back again saying they would only offer 4 sessions as "prices have gone up" - Third time, today, she has been ignoring my texts for the last week so I called a few times and she finally picked up (noting that it was her off hours). Asked me what I needed to continue and I said my 6 months or a prorated refund. This request turned into her shouting at me for "threatening her" and future communication will only be done through the manager, who unfortunately keeps getting mixed information it seems. Tried to be nice and work with her and this small business but it seems I am out of options and need to do chargebacks and small claims.
