With these things in mind you can imagine how happy I was to find that World's End Motorcycles was as close at hand as it is. I found out about them when one of their guys came to buy an old Honda off me after I had run its little engine into the ground. I popped down to the warehouse in Portslade a week or two later after a part for my new bike. When I asked after my old Honda I was told that they had set it up with a new engine and that it was now once more on the road. That's just what these guys are about. They have one of the largest selections of motorcycle parts under one roof I've ever seen and you get the very real impression that they actually care. There's not a great deal in the way of accessories or clothing so you lose a little of the excitement of a real trip to the bike shop but in terms of the nuts and bolts of things (excluding Brit bikes) they excel. So for those of you with something like a 1990 GS1000, next time a piece of aging fairing gives way or you need a new chain on the cheap then give these guys a shout or just head down.

I know that every time I go to Infinity I can get exactly what I want. Even if they have to order it in, they'll do their best to find it for you and make it available. Staff will help first-time buyers understand how biking gear is supposed to fit and be very welcoming to those who might not know exactly what they're looking at. Contrastingly, they can also help experienced riders with racing suits and more. The store is packed full of biking goodies, it feels like a toy shop as a kid all over again. Prices are somewhat higher here than they would be in rival chains such as J&S, but that's generally because Infinity stock up-to-date brand ranges whereas J&S sell quite a bit of older gear that is perhaps more suitable if your needs are budget driven. If quality of goods and service is your top priority, and you're willing to pay for the max protection that you need to stay as safe as possible on the road. Infinity is definitely a brilliant choice. Can't speak highly enough.

We landed on About Town as it was just outside London proper (we didn't want to battle city traffic) and seemed to have a good selection of bikes for hire. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our experience! About Town is a small, but very complete and professionally operated establishment. We handled all of our preparations and reservations via email, to which the About Town staff (Anna and Mike) always attended to promptly. While my wife was disappointed that her Ducati Monster 696 wasn't available, she settled for a Honda CBF600 while I reserved a BMW F650GS. On the day of our rental, we took the train out of London to Wadsworth and somewhat apprehensively showed up with helmets in tow to the About Town shop. Our fears were quickly put to rest when we were greeted by Anna with a warm hello and were quickly walked through our paperwork while our bikes were rolled out front. Mike walked us through the bikes, gave us directions out of town, and we were ready to head out. As an added bonus, due to threatening weather that day, Mike spontaneously offered and threw in (at no charge) a top bag and 2 sets of rainwear (including one slicker off of his own bike!). Now that's the kind of service you don't often find these days. And it's that kind of service that made our experience with About Town so pleasurable. Needless to say, we highly recommend About Town. (And we also recommend the ride down and back to Brighton!) We look forward to a return trip, where we can hopefully have more time to tour the wonderful roads of England.

Sometimes it takes a problem for one to fully appreciate a companies commitment to service…read more In preparation to my visit to London, I contacted several bike hire businesses, and being on a tight budget, I was looking for a deal. Companies promoting "budget bikes" were not helpful when I asked for details, so I decided to contact About Town and pay what it took to get just the bike I wanted, a Triumph T100. The bike ran like a dream, and was in good condition. However, on the morning it was due back at the shop, I was unable to start it. Assuming I had done something to run the battery down, I got the assistance from a neighbour to boost it. I contacted About Town to let them know of my dificulties, in the hope that they would not charge me for an extra day when the bike was returned late. After some time, we got the bike started, and I set off to bring the bike back. Unfortunately, the GPS brought me to the wrong place, and frustrated I stopped to figure out where I was and how I could get to where I was going. When I tried to resume my journey, the bike would not start again, so I once again called about town and told them of my troubles. The bike was at this point over 2 hours late, and I was very concerned that I would be charged for an extra day. They sent a truck to pick me up right away, and when he arrived we discovered that the problem was with the starter switch. They were very apologetic, and seemed almost disappointed that I was unable to accept a different bike for another day at no charge. They gave me a substantial discount, and went above and beyond to ensure that I left a satisfied customer. I am very impressed to their commitment to customer service, and I hope to be able to rent from them on future visits to the UK. P.S. They didn't know it at the time, but I am the president of a riding club in Toronto with a membership of 800+. I will be giving a strong recommendation on our website as well.

Dont fall for Shab's nice guy act Edit: I raised a dispute with my credit company and raised this with citizens advice and they returned my money as per their section 73 of credit agreement and in line with consumer rights act of 2015. If i had the time, money and energy I would take you to court which is why I waited until now before going public with this. You are a criminal and a liar and should be reprimanded. I will not let you get away with this. The story: This was the third time i rented a bike from them. In the past the gears got stuck and left me stranded for an hour but i thought maybe its because im learning. This time, i picked the bike at Monday 4:30 with half a tank, rode all the way to camden, turned the bike off to go into tesco, when i came back the bike wouldnt turn on. This was around 5:45. Not sure how you have a mechanic shop and claim that i killed the battery while i was riding it. So i called them that night but no answer because the shop was closed (fai enough). I managed to park the bike at one of my friends' over night so it doesnt get stolen. Next day i called them trying to resolve this and they told me to call RAC and that of course if anything is wrong with the bike theyll refund me. I asked them to email me this, they ignored my emails. RAC scheduled for Wednesday 10AM and they jump started the bike. I called and told them that Id like to bring the bike back after work and they said no problem but we will close the shop so you're gonna have to leave it outside and hand the rented helmet to the shop next door. I asked if they could email me that just so we can have this agreed. They ignored my calls and emails all day. At 4pm Shab answered and says no we won't email you and everything is at your own risk not sure what you want from us. When they saw that Im asking for documents and Im trying to do this the right way their nice guy act dropped. So instead, i rode the bike back to my place to park it safely and refueled the tank. On thursday (day when my rental was due to end) i took a half day off to ride it back and rid myself of this hassle but the bike wouldnt turn on. I called them and i called RAC. They told me that they wont tow the bike unless it cannot be fixed on the spot. They came, examined and towed the bike back. After a week of radio silence i ask for a refund and they say that the bike is working perfectly and that i had flattened the battery. I rented a bike with the expectation that its road worthy and that I dont have to spend a week trying to turn it on and return it to you. You wasted an entire week and youre just a bad person with the way you treated me and i genuinely wish that you get what you deserve.

As a complete novice to the world of Hells Angels, I was completely ignorant to what it is all about but I have to say, the staff were great at helping me out and apparently the shop sells the latest bike models including Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki and also Peugeot. I was looking into quotes a bike on behalf of a friend and found it very useful that the shop has a service called "rent try buy scheme" whereby you can hire a bike for the weekend, and then if decide you want to keep it - they will deduct the hire cost and sell it to you. The wonders of the credit crunch I suppose. As I mentioned, I'm no expert but as someone stepping into the shop without an inkling of even how to sit on a motorbike properly, the staff were very friendly and refrained from taking advantage of my lack of knowledge.
