It's unlike any Kohls or other modern department store. Wood floors, over 100 year old wood floors with character that have a vintage feel and an ever so faint creak from them. Neatly organized shelves and racks of clothes with a wide variety to choose from. They have a yarn department,'book department, men's, women's, shoes, gifts, and in the basement Toys! My lovely bride almost had to drag me from the book department as I was on a shopping spree. Then it was on to the men's shoe department that was well stocked and had knowledgeable staff. Most importantly, it's a traditional shoe department, that provides a customer with Service. Not rows of boxes, that you fumble through and serve yourself. Have a seat, the clerks comes to you and asks how can they help? They go in the back and return with boxes of shoes for you to try on. What a very patient and knowledgeable staff! I couldn't get a good fit on my first visit even after trying different sizes, my feet were swollen from a long car trip. I returned the following day and the fit perfectly, On the Yelp review it prompts: Amazing! What went well!; one choice is Value. Prices here are very fair, one could always chase the internet and beat a price unlike. There is value with a brick and motar business. Stock on hand, able to be tried on, friendly and knowledgeable staff and from my perspective that adds considerable value. They even offer a Frequent Shopper Program that I signed up for. It's not a card or computer program, a sheet of paper with your names, boxes to be handwritten in with your purchases and then a 10% reward. Schroeder's nailed it with Service, Selection and Value! Highly recommended and worth the trip.

One of the region's last malls still standing, the Marshfield Mall is a small place that (unlike…read moremany of it's contemporaries) is still mostly full of stores, and still neat and clean throughout. Their last remaining anchor (following Younker's bankruptcy) is Kohl's, though there are still plenty of other chain and local businesses packed inside. If you're looking for apparel, knick-knacks, accessories, or a classic "mall" experience, this is a great place to get it!

I love Lotza Motzas pizzas and they were over 8 bucks. At my local store they are 7. At another store they are 5 each. Other stuff was over expensive than my local store. What they have on sale tho is awesome. They had a bag of potatoes for 1.00. Stores is very clean. Great location. Clerks at the check out were nice and kind. What I don't like is they can't find people who want to work so only 3 check outs were open and all self check out. So spend a hour looking for your things, then u have to spend 15 minutes in like to check out or do u'r own check u out which can be an issue if u can't get things to scan and so on. I like this store. It has a bit of everything for a rural community. It's a bit of a mix between a hardware, farm, and sporting goods store, primarily, although they do also sell soft goods. In particular, I like the sporting goods area. I was looking for a certain item and was beyond impressed with the comprehensiveness of the hunting and fishing supplies and how reasonably priced. If I lived closer, I'd be here a lot since some of the items are far cheaper than I can get them where I live. In the sections of the store in which I did spend time, I noticed a sizeable amount of "made in america" items. Maybe it's only the sections of the store I was in, or maybe it's part of their buying process, but it was still nice to see those options. There was always an employee available when I had a question, and the checkout was as speedy as it could be. During several visits, I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes as nearly all the checkout lanes were open. If you need something quickly, something practical, and something with a lower price tag, stop here.

Certainly it is not spacious and artsy like the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver. It will never be confused with MOM in terms of size and variety. It does not seem to be stressed and struggling like the mall in downtown Stevens Point. The flagship stores are small-medium sized Sears, Penney's and Younkers. The food court is small but adequate. If there is something you want, e.g. fine food or finer clothes, then what you need may be within walking distance in downtown Wausau.

They have great cabin decor such as bears, wolves and deer. All I can say if you're north of Antigo traveling by on Hwy 45 then J&P's is a great little stop to stretch the legs and have a look around. You'll likely find something there that you didn't know you needed.
