Have heard good things and have been wanting to try Fleeting for a while. We ordered the beef tartare, oysters, duck, and a steak. The duck was amazing. Everything else was really good. The beef tartare was served on top of radicchio and beets. It was an interesting combo that in my opinion didn't work the best. The steak was okay, tasted like skirt steak to me which isn't my favorite. Mashed potatoes were AMAZING though. Great drinks and service too.

Very solid hotel restaurant, with great food and ambiance, but the accompanying prices/serving sizes to match. Our service was great; Jordyn (our waitress) was sweet, accommodating with substitutions and speedy to bring the food out! The food itself was pretty good -- I Frankenstein-Ed a meal out of side dishes (egg whites, fruit, chicken sausage & sourdough) and it was about $40 with tip. My friends got the potato hash which they said was good but they wished the serving size had been double for $38. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but don't regret the stop! The jazz brunch was also kind of interesting since we only got maybe 15 minutes of jazz, but the performer was very talented!

Excellent! So good, I went back two nights in a row. The first night I had homemade sourdough with butter to start, steak tartar, watermelon salad, ribeye, Brussel sprouts, and the banana dessert. EVERYTHING was delicious. The second night I repeated the Brussels and ribeye, and again started with the tartar. (One of the best tartars I've ever had) I was served both nights by Maria. She was well versed on the menu, friendly, and attentive. I definitely would recommend trying Fleeting out, even if you're not staying at the hotel. Both nights I went, it was 8:30 so the restaurant wasn't full, just about half full. The lighting and music are just high enough to be able to relax and enjoy conversation with you and your guests.

Incredible food and service! Went here while visiting for a birthday dinner and had the best Tybee Island oysters. The bread and butter were even incredible. One of the best duck dishes that I've had. Our server went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable celebration.

Breakfast review. We were seated quickly for bunch on New Year's Day. I ordered the vanilla cinnamon latte and it was so delicious. We ordered the shrimp and grits as well as the croissant breakfast sandwich. Shrimp and grits was some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had . I have no idea how they got the grits to be that creamy! Do not miss this dish! My husband ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich with whipped feta and eggs ! This was so good. The croissant was from the bakery next-door and was so fresh and delicious. The whipped feta was absolutely delicious on it. Our only critique was that our server did not ask my husband if he wanted to add bacon or sausage to his croissant. Overall, the service was just a little bit slow, but the food was amazing .

Stayed at the Thompson for a few nights and decided to grab dinner at the hotel. Food was excellent and the service top notch. The Brunswick Shrimp Dip was arguably one of the best dips I've ever tasted. Fire grilled whole Snapper was fantastic. And the watermelon salad - perfect for a hot summer evening. Thanks for a memorable meal. Cheers!

We had such a wonderful experience at Fleeting for our anniversary this past weekend--everything from the food to the service to the dining room was spot-on. We started with the oysters and the sourdough, and wow... what a way to kick things off. The oysters were super fresh, and the sourdough had the perfect crusty outside with this soft, flavorful inside. It came with fresh salted butter that was so good we were basically scraping the plate! For mains, we shared the rib-eye and lamb chops--both were cooked to perfection. The rib-eye had this amazing sear and depth of flavor, and the lamb chops were super tender and juicy. We also added the sweet potato side, which was unexpectedly one of our favorite parts of the meal--just the right mix of savory and sweet, soft with a crunch. And then, to top it all off, the staff surprised us with a dark chocolate hazelnut torte for our anniversary dessert. It was rich, decadent, and absolutely delicious. Such a thoughtful touch and a perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The vibe at Fleeting is also worth mentioning--stylish, modern, and cool without feeling pretentious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind the whole night. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend for a special occasion--or honestly, any time you want a memorable meal in Savannah!

4-6pm fleeting hour is top tier, espresso martinis for $5 and dirty martinis for $10, $1.5 oysters, $8 caviar bumps, go early to sign up for free palm readying or tarot cards. Bartenders are great, very efficient and attentive. And the view of the river is fantastic especially if you can catch a container ship going by. After you can take a walk on the river and enjoy the sunset. This place fucks and I will be back to try and get a seat at the chefs table for dinner.

We had an amazing meal at Fleeting. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Reservations are needed. There is a large bar area for drinks and seating. I had the black grouper special and hubby enjoyed the mushroom pasta. The old fashion was fab and enjoyed a glass of Pinot Noir with dinner. Delish dessert. Great for special occasions and date night. Enjoy!

Have never stayed at a Thompson that did not have a great restaurant, and Fleeting was no exception to that trend. Dined there throughout our stay in Savannah, from breakfast to dinner. Favorite dish was this beautifully prepared Grilled Local Catch Fish.

We had a party six so everyone tried different meals. The two men had the steak which was served on top of mashed potatoes, although not very many mashed potatoes for a $40 + it was a tasty steak The women all choose less expensive meals and all seem to enjoy their meals. The service was good no complaints and our weight staff was very friendly being in a new restaurant. It had a nice ambience for people who enjoy sitting at the table and being able to watch what's going on in the kitchen that seems to be the big thing nowadays to me. It doesn't matter as long as the food is good hotel was nice which the restaurant is in and it's kind of a smaller cozy set up. two of us had dessert but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was, but I do remember thinking I should've ordered what the other person did. As for the main question would I eat here again? The answer is yes I will admit we stayed at the Hyatt and this restaurant is much better than the so-called restaurant in the Hyatt. Sorry didn't take any pictures.

After a long travel day and there being so much snow on the ground, we decided to just stay in and have dinner at our hotel. I wasn't really sure what to expect. When I tell you this place was AMAZING - I mean it! Folks, do not sleep on this restaurant! Everything we had was beyond delicious. I had the appetizer sampler that was suggested by our waitress. Every single bite exploded the perfect blend of flavors! My husband's steak was cooked to perfection! He could nearly cut it with his fork! He's certainly not a foodie and is very picky about his steaks but he's insisting we visit here again before we leave. I certainly hope we have time to! Oh, and the espresso martini? I've never had a more perfect one. Bravo, Fleeting! Bravo!

The brunch menu is fairly…read moreextensive, so we had some difficulty choosing what to order....but definitely come hungry because the portions are large and the food is pretty rich. To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.

I would understand if this was a fine dining upscale restaurant that was quiet but the ambiance was very ordinary. There was regular restaurant noise and people dressed casually. I also got their iced matcha latte with lavender syrup, which I was heavily surprised from how flavorful and sugary it was, I highly recommend this drink to any matcha lovers out there. The Dubai chocolate French toast was beautifully put together and delicious, shared across my family. From what I heard the bubble and squeak was amazing and was not too heavy or dull in flavor and is a great vegetarian option. It…read morewas difficult to pick a restaurant to have dinner at, because there's so many great choices in Savannah, but seeing that the minds behind Common Thread were recently semifinalists for Best Chef SE through the James Beard Awards, it ended up being my choice. I'm absolutely glad I picked it. Walking in, we were greeted with smiles. The house/restaurant was stunning. It was quirky but still had its charm. We were escorted to our table, which was an odd little table halfway up the stairs, away from everyone. We were told that table was meant of anniversaries/intimate events. It felt awkward at first but it ended up being fun people watching and listening in to conversations as people walked by. Colton was our server. He was great. Extremely knowledgeable. He walked us through the menu, offered great suggestions on food and wine, did a proper wine service, and even properly pronounced the region in which the wine was from. Colton definitely made us feel special and gave us an incredible experience. I'll definitely give it to Common Thread. The knowledge in which every staff member presented was incredible. As every person dropped off an item at the table, they accurately described the dish in detail before they walked away. I've been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years; serving, bartending, and managing numerous different types of restaurants, from casual to fine dining. I've opened up a few restaurants and have been a trainer as well. Common Thread is operating at a high level in terms of the staff's ability. The food: incredible. We started with one of each oyster, and it was insane how much flavor was packed in them. Our first course was also accompanied with the hand roll and the apple beet salad. The hand roll was fantastic. The beet salad felt like it needed some sort of acid/citrus with it, but still had great flavor. Course two was the mushroom cannelloni and the orecchiette. Both were phenomenal. My wife was obsessed with the cannelloni, the butternut squash puree was a perfect accompaniment. The pesto/parmesan foam on the orecchiette was an excellent touch. Course three we went against Colton's suggestion for the pork chop (almost got both, we were stuffed), and got the Ribeye. Great char, cooked perfectly. The peppercorn jus was an excellent topper for it. For dessert, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding. Although it wasn't sticky, the ginger pairing with it was an excellent touch. This is one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. This will be a staple for us whenever we're back in Savannah and will definitely be asking for Colton again. He is the kind of server I'd like to have at my restaurant. Props to Common Thread, props to Colton.

The space itself adds a lot to the experience: a thoughtfully repurposed former Greyhound bus station that feels stylish and warm without trying too hard. Looking around at the tables around us nothing really caught our eye after reading the menu, we didn't want to leave since we were able to get reservations so we got some starters and shareables. There was a couple next to us who was having the same dilemma after over hearing their conversation. The kale salad was okay but a little bitter for my liking and the potato soup had a thick layer of oil on the top which looked intentional but wasn't our cup of tea. The cornbread and mashed potatoes were good but nothing crazy in our opinion to write home about. He was in charge of giving us the spiel and answering our questions. A woman (I forget her name, sorry! But she was lovely) was in charge of running the food and clearing the plates. It was a very well run machine. The menu is pre set, but there were choices on some of the courses, like course where an option was a soft shelled crab - I definitely wanted to take advantage of that! We started off with Biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade, these were delightful, so fluffy and soft, and the marmalade was sweet, not bitter like it sometimes can be. The Amuse bouche was a trio of tiny items: a pimento cheese tart, a mussel with chipotle sauce and panko, and a square of salmon with mild wasabi and ginger. The salmon was definitely my favorite. The fifth course had a special as I noted before, so I opted to go for that, it was a soft shell crab with garlic, herbs and a vidalia onion slaw. Topped with peanuts and a white wine sauce. I think my favorite course of them all was the scallops with the carrots and the whipped ricotta - so simple but so delicious! Phenomenal special occasion place or just to cross off your bucket list.
