    Seafood tower

We've dined here twice for our anniversary now, and each time has been perfect. Service is always top notch, and the food is splendid! We started with the calamari with sweet chili sauce on the side, then the seafood tower, as the kids also got a nice starter plate with cheeses and vegetables. Our entrees consisted of scallops over a bed of mushroom risotto, Chilean sea bass, and the kids got the filet mignon with a side of fries, and salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. We did try their wagyu this evening and it was a bit fattier than I would have liked. Everything else was delicious and cooked to perfection! We ended the nice with their carrot cake (which may possibly be the best carrot cake I've ever had), and the kids with scoops of vanilla ice cream. Our experience is always divine here and I always look forward to coming back.

Hubby and I returned to Flemings on August 23rd. From the moment we arrived the service was nothing short of amazing. Haley and Kelly H took exceptional care of us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe and atmosphere were truly amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both had the Flemings salad with croutons, candied walnuts, cranberries, onions, tomatoes and lemon balsamic vinaigrette dressing. For dinner hubby ordered the bone in ribeye and I ordered the scallops and we shared the crispy Brussel sprouts. We took an order of the three-layer carrot cake home after enjoying our complimentary glasses of champagne. Thank you Flemings for an amazing evening.

Last restaurant week lunch I am able to do this year. Started off with complimentary bread which was good, but the butters were the star here. Kept going back for more just to get more butter. My starter was the Caesar salad. It's a Caesar salad so nothing that special but they do try to step it up a bit with fried prosciutto and capers. My main was the bbq salmon. The fish may have been cooked slightly more than I like but the flavor was still good. The only part of this dish I didn't finish was the rice and that's just because there was too much for me to eat for lunch.

Staff greeted us and was very warm and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very clean and open with a good scenery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the crab cakes for our starter and they were very delicious, a must-have! My husband and I shared the tomahawk topped with diablo Shrimp, Fleming potatoes and asparagus. For dessert we ordered light, getting the fresh fruit and Chantilly cream. Everything was very tasty and good. I would definitely recommend this place to celebrate a special day.

The waiters are top tier and you can tell that they are masters of their craft. I loved all of the natural daylight flooding into the restaurant (we dined at lunchtime) and the decor has a classic refined ambiance to it. The food was phenomenal- so much so that I didn't even stop to take a picture before diving in! The brie and mushroom soup was amazing and so was the sweet tangy calamari. I did sneak a few of my dates truffle fries and immediately got food envy (yum doesn't even cover it! lol)

I had the opportunity to visit Fleming's Steakhouse last night and it was an amazing experience! This was my first time here at this location in Plano, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior and aesthetic were very classy and high end.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To begin our night we ordered a glass of Merlot along with the Golden State of Mind cocktail. Both were excellent and I especially liked the pineapple flavor in the cocktail! These drinks were accompanied with Fleming's signature appetizer bread. Their bread is one of my favorites I've had around the area. It is warm, wrapped in a napkin, easy to tear and very soft. It comes along with two different types of butters: a brie butter and a seasonal butter. The seasonal butter for the winter is currently a cheddar with chives. Both were excellent and our waiter told us we have to return in the fall for the pumpkin butter! For our appetizer, we had the Ahi Tuna Poke Stack. This was absolutely delicious. It comes with lavash crackers and the tuna is topped with caviar. We also each ordered a salad, I had the Apple & Cinnamon Pecan Salad and he ordered the Caesar Salad. Both were very good and they were great appetizers before our entrées. I preferred the Apple & Cinnamon Pecan Salad, it has a tasty lime dressing and goat cheese crumbles that made it perfect! The Caesar Salad was pretty good as well, it was more savory and came along with some croutons. For our entrées, we ordered the Prime Dry-Aged Ribeye Steak and the Prime New York Strip Steak. I had my New York Strip medium and he ordered the Dry-Aged Ribeye medium rare. They were both cooked to the perfect level of doneness and the flavor of both steaks was excellent. This was also my first time trying a dry-aged steak and it was a great one to begin with. We also ordered the Béarnaise Sauce to go along with the steaks, which made for a tasty pairing. The sides here are large enough to share between two people, and we decided to spilt the North Atlantic Lobster Chipotle Cheddar Mac & Cheese. I am a huge fan of lobster mac and cheese and I really liked this one. The chipotle flavor was a little overpowering but it lessened a little if you stirred it all up together. Lastly, for dessert, we chose the Basked Apple and Brie Galette, per our waiter's recommendation. It was amazing! It wasn't too heavy for after our meal and it came along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I couldn't taste the caramel flavor as much but it was still a great dessert nonetheless! Overall, it was a great experience and I want to shout-out our wonderful waiter, Chris! He was attentive and gave us some great recommendations. He also said their chef is fantastic and can always change a dish a little bit to fit your desires. Make sure you ask for him or sit in the back in his section, we definitely will next time we visit! Thank you for such a wonderful and fun night, I can't wait to be back!

Let's start with the free valet. Their butter is seasonal. Currently they have a champagne brea butter and a Cabernet onion dip butter which was delightful. The service was great. The sides were delish. I wish there was a little more seasoning on the steak. Other than that, everything was good.

Service is good here but the kitchen preparation is to careless. Finding any foreign object in food especially at a place that should be considered "fine dining " what if someone had choked. Now just find this location questionable Was also during lunch time and not very busy at all. Eat at your own risk i guess

Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream

Our experience with Fleming's dates all the way back when we were still living in SoCal. This time, my wife and I visited this location to celebrate her birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food, service and ambiance is excellent![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the lobster bisque and the Ceasars salad for starters and they were amazing. The tomahawk steak was for 2 and it was very tender and well seasoned. We had the chocolate lava cake and it just oozed with delicious melted chocolate and topped with vanilla ice cream. Our server Jurez is par excellence! His timing and attention to detail is perfect. Kindness and being courteous reflects his personality.

Nice place to celebrate a special day or just to wine and dine. The service was top notch! The ambience is not quiet but also not too loud. You can have a conversation without feeling like you're shouting. I had 2 Long Islands and they did not disappoint! It's hard to find a place that makes a good LIIT the first time around!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I wouldn't put them in my top five food wise as far as steakhouses go, but I can say their ambiance and service is some of the best in DFW.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came for a birthday dinner yesterday. Our server was Santiago. He made sure to greet everyone, explain the menu for first time diners such as myself, gave his recommendations, and then let us mull over the menu while he got/replenished drinks & brought bread. I just loved the hospitality he provided & his knowledge. As we were placing steak orders he definitely knew how to guide us on choices based on temperature, and taught us the difference between angus certified steak and prime steak. I also learned the best steak to order medium to medium well would be their prime ribeye due to its marbling as the fat keeps the meat juicy, and is what's actually preferred temp wise as the longer it cooks the better it tastes. If you like leaner meats then medium would be the most well done you'd want a filet mignon to be without compromising flavor or texture (any temperature to the left of medium more preferred). It was just nice to hear each cut explained, as most steakhouses in Dallas don't provide that much insight. Most just go with what they grew up eating. For me that would've been a ribeye but I decided to try the filet, and while it was cooked to perfection it was average in the flavor department. Our table tried to order most of the sides offered, and I will say my favorite was their creamed spinach. I wish the serving size was bigger for the price, because two bites and it was gone lol but it was so well seasoned and had a little kick to it. The Mac and cheese was also really good (like there's not photo because we ate it too fast good lol). Based on photos I've seen of the fleming's potatoes I was most excited to try them, but honestly aside from presentation they were just ok. I have to say the same for the brussels...nothing I'd order again because they were just ok. If you're going to charge just about $20 for the sides then make the bite something to remember. I think they'd do well to experiment more with styles of preparation and flavor profiles. Before we left Santiago did bring out a round of champagne, was considerate enough to pour ginger ale in the kids' flutes to make them feel included, took our family photo, and brought the birthday person a cake to do the traditional song and wish. Such a wonderful and thoughtful touch to end the night on a high, and again is the main reason I score this place so highly. Anyone who gets him as their server is lucky.

One day he looked at me and said, "You know what would make me feel better? Let's get a bruschetta at Sixty Vines." Hard to argue with that kind of therapy. I remember when Sixty Vines first opened on the Tollway. The whole wine-on-tap concept and that impressive draft wine cooler were some of the hottest tickets in town. It reminded me of years earlier when cold sake on draft at The Blue Fish on Frankford was something everyone seemed to be talking about. There is always that one new idea that suddenly makes going out feel a little more interesting. For whatever reason, I've only been to Sixty Vines a handful of times over the years. Not because I didn't enjoy it -- it just never became part of my regular rotation. Now my son is changing that. There's something pretty cool about watching a place you remember as new and trendy become a favorite of the next generation. Apparently Sixty Vines still has it. And according to my son, when life isn't going quite right, a good bruschetta there can make things a little better. I'm glad the new generation is giving them some well-deserved recognition. Maybe Dad needs to start listening and visit a little more often.

We fully understood that we were early and were told that we had been checked in and that our table would be ready closer to our reservation time. We had absolutely no issue with that. While waiting, we found an area near the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks, spending close to $300 before we were ever seated for dinner. At approximately 8:20 p.m., after our reservation time had passed and we had received no update, we approached the host stand to make sure they knew we were still waiting. We were told that they were waiting for seats to become available and that we would be seated soon. At 8:30 p.m., we were still waiting. When we approached the host stand again, the response was noticeably less courteous. We were told that they could not ask people to leave their tables and that we would be seated when they could accommodate us. At some point during this exchange, we were also told that once we were eventually seated, they would provide us with complimentary appetizers. I want to be very clear: this was never about receiving free food or having something taken off our bill. We had already spent close to $300 on drinks and appetizers while waiting. I neither wanted nor needed complimentary appetizers. What I wanted was for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time--or, at the very least, for someone to communicate honestly with us, acknowledge the problem, and treat our family with respect. Offering free appetizers did nothing to address the actual issue. By approximately 8:35 p.m.--20 minutes after our reservation time and nearly 50 minutes after we initially checked in--it was apparent that there was no urgency to seat us and, more importantly, no meaningful communication about when we could expect to be seated. At that point, General Manager Landry became involved. Unfortunately, rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation or offer any reasonable solution, his attitude made an already frustrating situation substantially worse. When I reminded him that we had an 8:15 reservation and asked when we could realistically expect to be seated, he again told us that we would be seated when they could seat us. I explained that our party included a pregnant mother-to-be who had not eaten and was beginning to feel unwell, as well as a young child. There was no apparent concern or effort to accommodate the situation. When I pressed him for a more specific timeframe, Landry responded that "it's just a reservation." That statement was astonishing to me. A reservation is a commitment made between a restaurant and its customer. I certainly understand that restaurants run behind and that unexpected circumstances occur. What I do not understand is a General Manager dismissing a customer's reservation as though it carries no significance whatsoever. I asked Landry what Sixty Vines' policy would be if I had arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation. Instead of addressing the obvious point behind the question, he accused me of being "aggressive" and informed me that, if he wanted to, he could simply ask our party to leave. That response was completely inappropriate. Rather than acknowledging that his restaurant had failed to honor our reservation, apologizing for the delay, or attempting to find a solution, the General Manager chose to threaten to remove a family that had been patiently waiting and had already spent nearly $300 at the restaurant. A few minutes later, Landry walked past our group and visibly shook his head at us. It was dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with managing a restaurant and representing the Sixty Vines brand. Ironically, the person who demonstrated the most professionalism and empathy that evening was the young server who had been taking care of us near the bar. She observed what was happening, approached us on her own, apologized for the situation, and asked whether there was anything she could do to help. Her response stood in stark contrast to that of the General Manager. By this point, we had closed our tab. The pregnant member of our party had become so unwell while we waited that she actually vomited. We informed Landry of what had happened, and again there appeared to be little concern. His primary focus remained his assertion that we had "yelled" at him. To be clear, customers who have waited well beyond their reservation time, received virtually no meaningful communication, and then been told by the General Manager that "it's just a reservation" are understandably going to become frustrated. A capable General Manager should know how to manage that frustration professionally rather than escalating the situation and threatening to remove the customers. Ultimately, we left without ever having the birthday dinner.

We had a reservation, which is recommended because the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night in May. We opted to sit on the patio because the weather was gorgeous. I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. Overall, we had a great meal and will undoubtedly return here again.

We dropped in on a Sunday with one very important mission: splurge on dessert lol. FYI.. If you haven't tried Haywire's Chipolte Chocolate Cake, Whiskey Bread Pudding or their famous Pecan Pie, you're missing out. No lie! There was one big problem. They were completely booked. Inside was full. Outside patios and bar area -- all full. Apparently everyone had Sunday plans to eat at Haywire. Yes, its that great. But instead of turning us away, management thought outside the box and put us in a tent. That's what I call real customer service! This was a new exciting experience for all of us. Third floor rooftop area, seated us in one of Haywire's private canvas tents. These are not camping tents, think Texas glamping lol. Private dining space. Climate controlled. Cozy, and had the ability to close for privacy. The tents can accommodate up to six people. They can be reserved for 2 1/2 hours with a $150 food-and-beverage minimum, rather than a separate rental fee. See my pics. What started as a quick stop for desserts turned into a little adventure and one of our more memorable visits. Thank you Haywire, we appreciate everything you do to make life relaxing for regular folks like us.
