The first instance…read moreoccurred when my 1999 VW Jetta was leaking coolant, the rep at Eastern Spring had his mechanic evaluate the trouble and concluded that it was a blown head gasket and mentioned that they would repair it for $1400! Turns out the problem was actually very minor, I discovered a small rubber tube that was causing the leak and replaced it for $10, a far cry from the $1400 that these thieves wanted. My VW hasn't leaked a drop since and it's been over a year now. The 2nd and most recent screw job happened earlier today when I took my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee to be inspected by Eastern Spring, after a long wait time they came back with a myriad of problems including brake shoes, tie rod ends, ball joints just to name a few. I felt like this was classic gouging at it's best so I did what anyone with common sense would do and took it to a mechanic that I trusted for a 2nd opinion and sure enough it passed without fault, after passing I showed the other mechanic the list of problems Eastern Spring had issued me and he laughed. If you're considering Eastern Spring DON'T! Go else where! Their business is clearly failing and they are trying their hardest to gouge anyone that comes through the door for a quick buck.

But Chris said no problem we can fix this. His mechanic grabbed a drill and when to work. About two hours and two trips to a neighboring town for parts and he fixed my problem. We made our way to Speedy as it wasn't far. They took has right in and checked out our van. They found the caliper for the parking brake was sticking on that side. They got it free so we could travel home as long as it we didn't engages the parking brake on our van. They told us to contact our dealer and it may be covered under warranty. We were they at least 30 minutes, they had our van in the shop on the hoist and didn't charge us anything to get us safely back on the road. Great people at this shop. They made my family feel welcome and we cant thank them enough! If we ever need service in Moncton this is the place to go

My daughter and I were travelling from NS to ON in two separate cars. As we approached the NB…read moreborder from NS, my daughter called me to say that her car was really squeaking loudly. We stopped at the border to take a look. There was something not right about the rear driver's tire spring, it was hanging down and her tire was very close to the top of the wheel well. We called ahead to Speedy in Moncton on Mountain Rd. They were able to squeeze us in (this was late Friday afternoon). We drove very cautiously and anxiously to their location. They got her car in right away. They inspected the vehicle and brought us in to show us the problem. They were able to replace the broken (rusted out) lower controller arm. They inspected the passenger side and told us that would could most likely make it back to ON with it as it was. After we took a look at it, we asked them if they would replace it as well as it appeared to us to be pretty rusted out also. It should be noted that they DID NOT upsell us for the second controller arm. For safety concerns, we asked them to replace it. They completed both replacements efficiently. We were pleasantly surprised by the cost of the repair and left feeling much reassured that we could continue on our way safely. Bob, Mike and Kim treated us very kindly. We greatly appreciated their professionalism. Kim even suggested where we could stop to have the tires re-torqued (Woodstock). This mama was so relieved that her duckling arrived safe and sound to her destination. I offer my deepest gratitude to Bob and his staff. I definitely recommend the quality of service from Speedy Auto Service at 905 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB.

Worst garage I've ever dealt with. We knew our car needed repairs but they sent us home with a 40$…read morebill for their time and said the car was fine. Went to a competent mechanic and was told we have roughly 3900$ worth of repairs to be done. Most of which were VERY apparent. DO NOT go to this shop. Called to make a formal complaint. Mechanic didn't want to hear it so he pawned me off to reception. Reception couldn't find my file even though we were there less than 2 weeks ago because they don't know how to use a computer and don't have a proper filing system. I had to point out that no one bothered to apologise because they certainly wouldn't have done it on their own. Instead they insisted their gross negligence "didn't sound like something they would do" and asked if I was calling the right place. Terrible service, incompetent mechanics.

I ended up there when my long-time mechanic was too busy to do that for me (in the timeframe I needed, work travel upcoming) and he said "Call Coast on Baig, I'd take my car to Bill and not think twice, they're good over there". That was all I needed to hear from another mechanic I knew and trusted over the years. Fast forward 4 years and they just did a complete front/back brake replacement and a complete clutch replacement for me on a 2011 Forester and they treated me very well. They have a couple great mechanics on staff and their knowledge will save labour cost. They are more than fair on parts and definitely shaved a bit for me when they found hidden problems...that they had warned me they wouldn't know "till it was apart". Cannot speak highly enough of the front end staff and how easy they were to deal with, up front about costs, process, timeline, etc. Bill and Ed and the gang are great over their. Do not hesitate to use them!
