I rang BB and explained that my dog was a rescue and gets easily spooked and stressed out. He is so nervous around new people and being a jack he has the added bonus of not being able to keep still and bounces his way through life. Bb were not phased in the slightest. It was great the lady booked us in and said that we would take it at the dogs pace. BB have been fantastic, they always go above and beyond. If my dog is having a cranky day they take it at his pace and never rush him. Bear has such a great bond with BB now and gets so excited when they knock on the door. He even enjoys his bath now. Bear always looks and smells great even if he is being kranky. Being disabled it's a service I couldn't be without. BB are always on time & cheerful. They have been great if I have needed advise. I highly recommend them. Thanks Barking Boutique keep up the good work !

I WOULD NOT use Doggy Paws Peterborough again having using them for home boarding recently…read more They were 2 hours 20 minutes late collecting him and when he was picked up there was not enough room in the van so he was put in the front seat of the van unsecured. He returned with his nose red raw in places which we were told was from him pushing his nose up against the cage in the van in his excitement to get out. However upon enquiring about this further we were told that this has happened to at least one other dog previously and i was therefore unhappy that 1) nothing had been done about the fact that they were aware a dog could injure themselves on the cage and 2) we were not warned that this may happen given that they were aware that it had happened previously. The phone call between us and Doggy Paws raising these issues ended with us being shouted, sworn at and hung up on. From this experience we have come away with the opinion that Doggy Paws are not reliable, trustworthy or professional and i certainly would not want to leave my dog with them in future under any circumstances. (This review is in no way connected to Doggy Paws Oundle. It is a review of Doggy Paws Peterborough alone.)

In one of the tanks there were 4 dead or dying congo frogs, but I have never lost a fish once bought from there. They have some workers who know what they are talking about but a few of the young ones have given me false information. I asked one if they had any daphnia eggs and he said he had never heard of such a thing. I also asked for a calculator to work out the volume of the tank but they gave me a figure which was way out. The alternative for me is fordham garden centre which is miles worse than this place.

They sell toys and food as well as actual pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and fish. The pets look well cared for and the staff are knowledgeable about where they have come from and what life they have had. They also sell suitable carry cases and runs for the animals that you can buy. I am very happy to purchase my pet food from there as I know that it hasn't been in the shop long so is fresh for my animals. Prices are very competitive with the larger pet stores that are on offer. It is on a busy main road with extremely limited parking but it is worth the walk from the local main car park.

A staff member immediately told me I had "less than a minute" before closing -- fair enough, I just needed to quickly grab some dog food. Also states they have enclosed a picture of her, she looks lovely. I wanted her age, birthday and where she is located so I can send her a doggy hamper gift. Then when woodgreen contact me back about it, she is an example dog..... The dog they clearly told me was MINE never was, she is an example. I was told I would receive all information on MY DOG but they sent me details on an EXAMPLE DOG as my own. I am truly truly hurt and disgusted by the fact that I was actually making a difference. SIGN UP TO A REAL CHARITY AND MAKE SURE YOU LOOK INTO IT FIRST.

I made them promise one thing many times before I made the choice to give her up and that was they would let me know BEFORE if they had to put her to sleep so I could be there. Today they emailed me to say they had put her to sleep after they had done it. I am in utter shock. Seems it was cancer and they could have waited for me to come in and be there with her at the end so she wasn't alone with strangers. Now they are not replying about her remains. These people are utterly evil, do not trust them, I am now looking at suing them for breach of promise.
