    Strawberry cake and chocolate cake
    Julie S.

Delicious little bakery! Stopped in late Friday for a sweet treat and hot coffee. Enjoyed 1. salted caramel and 2. coffee macarons and a toasted marshmallow mocha. The macarons were so light and delicious. The mocha was good too. My friend enjoyed the soup. The service was great -- brought us our treats to our table and offered us cups of water. My brother also ordered 2 cakes for a birthday celebration -- one chocolate and one strawberry and both were amazing!

Cute little pastry shop tucked away in downtown Chatham. Gotta get here early - the pastries sell out quickly. The fruit tarts and mousse cakes are fire. However, the macarons are a bit sweet for my taste. Definitely recommend this place.

Looks like a family run business, the owners little daughters were at the front helping customers which was so homely and welcoming. The pastries look picturesque and gram worthy, and also taste equally delicious. We got the pistachio chocolate tart which had complex layers and flavors, sooo good !! The cappuccino was 10/10 too. Going to come back to try other pastries too.

A very cute and cozy spot. They have a variety of coffee options and can make a decaf espresso. We got 2 decaf machiatos. They were delicious! My friend and I split a chocolate mouse little cake. It was fantastic! I'll be back to try more desserts. The ladies behind the counter quickly take your order and are efficient. They were able to describe all the desserts.

    Cheese croissant

Discovered this place walking to a local coffee shop in Chatham. Wasn't going to get anything but the coffee shop praised their ham & cheese croissants. Decided to try them out. Came for that croissant but it must be a lunch item, so I just got a cheese croissant. It was light, airy, and decadent. It was not cheese filled but I believe it was in the dough. You could tell it was freshly made and not chain like. It came on a brown/compostable paper plate. The service was unrushed and friendly. They are French. The croissant was a bit pricey at $4.50 but it goes with the ambiance. I will be back to try the ham and cheese croissant but don't see myself coming here regularly.

Came for some GF birthday cake on a Friday morning, but was told that Saturdays are the GF days. So, got some Macarons and coffee instead. Rose - barely there pink: very delicate, almost like a palette cleanser Lavender- light pink: definitely lavender at first bite, followed by light sweet sensation Raspberry - orange pink: yummy deliciousness - my favorite! Chocolate - brown: rich, fudge-y, best chocolate macaron around!! The bakery is welcoming, clean, has beautifully displayed baked goods, cakes, and has lovely staff. Thank you for my birthday treat. Will be back for more!

    Temptation island!

I have friends in Chatham who really know food. They sent me here because they know I love good eats! I popped in last Friday (in Lent) and was awed by the aroma and visual temptations in their cases. My wife is a fan of "good" chocolate croissants but, with a few exceptions, most of the ones readily available at the local food stores and some bakeries were short on the chocolate and long on the bread - not her favorite. I'm a huge fan of almond croissants so I scanned the cases for theirs and found both. They came home with me. I saw a mushroom quiche and since it was Lent, I ordered two. Finally, I saw a chocolate tart that had to come home too. The verdict: The Chocolate croissant got a thumbs up from my wife. She said there was a bite of chocolate in every munch. A winner. The Almond Croissant was excellent. On par with the best I have had (Tartine in Greenwich Village is great too). The quiche was very good and just enough for lunch. Finally, the chocolate tart was, as they say on Long Island, "ta die for"... Will go back just for another. This is a great local find and one you need to visit - and visit hungry!

Amazing pastries and baguette. Place is legit.

I finally tried this gem of a spot in Chatham. As the other reviews indicate, the place is legit, beyond legit. This is traditional french pastries, prepared what seems like daily, reasonably priced, and delish. I bought 2 eclairs, one chocolate croissant, and one Baguette for $17.25. My kids raved about the eclairs and they were dispatched very quickly and eagerily. I had the chocolate croissant and it was definitely one of the best that i have had outside of Europe (even better than most places in NYC). The Baguette also was amazing. I will be a repeat customer for sure. We need to support local places like this.

    Mille- feuille

Omg! The desserts are so delicious! I got a cake for a party I was going to with 3 other ppl and it was just the right amount, I also got myself a small side of the Mille feuille delicious. It was a lot crunchier than I anticipated but the cream wasn't too sweet. The coffee was good too. I came around 2:30 right before they closed so they didn't have too many options. Want to try them again.

    Fig tart & almond croissant

Stopped in for a quick coffee and dessert after lunch. A little bit pricey but quality stuff. Good coffee and the dessert was good too. The fig tart was visually appealing and tasted great. The almond croissant was light and buttery. If I'm in the neighborhood I would certainly stop by again. You should check them out. ENJOY!!!

Fantastique!! Fleur de Sel is what Chatham has been missing! A lover of authentic French patisserie, I was delighted when I heard this establishment opened amidst COVID-19. The space is tastefully decorated - modern- rustic and the owners are pleasant and attentive to their customers. Now to the pastries...a wonderful selection and on point in terms of quality and authenticity. Whether it be something as simple as their butter croissant or something more delectable like their chocolate hazelnut praline or their lemon meringue tarte, Fleur de Sel does not disappoint! I highly recommend!

Three Chocolate Mousse Cake, I highly recommend this cake to any chocolate lover.

I've stopped here to pick up lunch literally hundreds of times over the past 30 years or so. Sorrento's is as good now as the first time I went there, probably even better! The sandwiches here are outstanding! The quality of the ingredients is first rate and the prices are very reasonable. There's plenty of salads and soup here to go with the sandwiches also. The stars of the show here for me though are the bakery items. Whether it's the cakes, donuts, or pastries, I've never had anything here I didn't like. Some favorites for me are the Napoleons, Lobster Tail, Linser Tarts, and Black & White cookies. My wife loves the Red Velvet Cupcakes and the Cannolis. The Thanksgiving pies from here are always a huge hit. If you haven't been to Sorrento's Bakery, check it out. I'm planning on stopping here for many more years!

My wife goes there fairly often; I, on the other hand, only go occasionally. Over the years, I had always been happy with the quality of the products they sell, but lately the pricing has gotten completely out of hand. We were there this past Saturday for breakfast. We shared a shakshuka and had two mocha coffees in the table area, and my wife also ordered a salmon toast. That was it. Somehow, this breakfast cost as much as four meals we had at an Israeli restaurant in NYC the very next day -- and, by the way, those meals were far superior to anything I've ever had at Liv. While at the NYC restaurant, we noticed they charge only $7 for fresh-squeezed orange juice -- in a larger portion than Liv's $12 glass of OJ. Their shakshuka is also only $16, compared with Liv's $22. And this place is in the heart of NYC, not in suburbia New Jersey. I also used to love getting Liv's cookies and croutons, but those have become expensive beyond reason as well. Two packs of cookies, one crouton, and a mocha coffee came to over $50. Seriously? At this point, it is clear to me that the owner's strategy is to keep raising prices to see how much he can get away with. Well, as far as I'm concerned, I'm done. I will no longer be patronizing this kind of price gouging.
