The bead selections are mostly in strands. They have a good amount of findings, chains, and pretty pendants. Look around the store for examples and they might have a free tutorial for it online. I just picked a necklace I liked and asked for everything to make it. This is a very affordable bead shop, unlike most in the states. All the supplies I needed for my necklace cost about 10 euros. They also sell affordable tools if you don't have yours with you.

You can't do much with under a yard, but at 3 meters the possibilities are pretty expansive. Sacrés Coupons has been around forever and have a couple locations in the same area. There's always good deals and interesting materials. It's not a grab bag of discarded/ugly/icky materials, but it does feel like organized chaos inside. I picked up several interesting and great quality coupons here for a great price. My mom used to drag me here in the 90s and I'm pretty sure I still have some of that vintage yardage in storage! Also, for whatever reason, it feels like silk (soie) and wool (laine) is so much cheaper here than stateside. So if that's your jam, check it out on your fabric adventures in Paris. Coupons are much less intimidating for non-French speakers because you don't have to figure out cutting and all that, just grab the piece and go pay.

Made a point to stop here on my last day in Paris; the shop didn't open until 1p but thankfully it worked with my schedule. A large variety of yarn all made from natural fibers in several solid and variegated colors. Nothing too bulky, I would say most are sport or DL weight. I picked up three hanks of a locally sourced and dyed cashmere mohair blend and I'm excited to work with it although I'm not sure what I'm going to make yet! Shop owners speak English and are very helpful. Prices vary, it is definitely possible to get an affordable cake but I did splurge a bit as I'd rather have too much for my project than not enough. A worthwhile stop for knitters and crocheters.

After a few inquiries here and there, I made it to La Tuile à Loup's website and sent an email inquiring about cassoulet dishes. Very shortly, I received a reply from Eric....of course, they have cassoulet dishes!!! And, of course, he would send me photos of them with sizes. And, of course, they ship to the US. The photos arrived quickly and, in a nice phone conversation, we picked a dish that would be perfect for me and arranged shipping for it to me in the US. What a pleasant and satisfying shopping experience in spite of so many miles in between. I just hope that one day I will make it to La Tuile à Loup in person!!!
