Great customer service. It took a while to find the main entrance. We evenly just walked in through…read morea door that was open. It's clean and quiet inside. Lots of different rooms for the students to do their learning. They also have a flight stimulator as a cheaper option. Great selection of planes and they seem to be well kept. They seem to get a lot of business. They have a month waiting list right now.

Yes while the airport has little to no air traffic and you are right up in free air space doing…read moretraining I feel the place falls short example, my instructor didn't know everything, might have been new, I was listening to another flt instructor giving instruction to a new student, wanted to jump up and say yes you know it all but realize you need to humbly teach not show off your knowledge, its about the student learning and passing not walking away feeling you are great, I feel while the FAA passes one as a flt intructor it doesn't mean they are teachers, my plane never started, so flight was cancelled, it got better we rescheduled and then they called me to cancel, really pushing me out after all I had been through, simply, I went to Bartow Airport, yes worth the drive, the airport owns the flt school night and day, so I feel in my many years that this school could be a lot better, might I say the guy at the frt desk was exceptional, really seemed to care, but the execution of quality instruction and well maintained plans fell short, worth the extra expense at ORL or again it was well worth trip to Bartow, they took care of me in one flight and learned a lot, sorry have seen over the years a few schools go in and out Orlando Country old school name, its just an iffy airport over the years and would recommend going outside, you are saving money but there is a fallback with excellence. Its good to be working a pattern or taxi on the ground - ex MCO, it's how you get good. Very odd how when you look at reviews you see Forex trading reviews mixed in.....

If you plan on attending the aircraft maintenance school, DONT. This place should be renamed "Scam…read moreFlight Academy" because the quality of education is trash. Some of the instructors dont know whats going on and the others are just mindlessly droning on through powerpoint slide shows. I didnt want to pay 47,000$ to be bored to death, I paid for a quality education and quality instructors, which is what was advertised. ive been here for 5 months and all ive learned is that a place like this rips away your motivation to get into the aviation industry. Dont get me started on the housing department either. The same people that own epic own the apartments they use for student housing, one half is non students and the other half are students. The non students (for a two bedroom apartment NOT beachside and NOT in a good spot) pay 1600$ a month, so why is it that the students pay 3200$ a month for the exact same apartment split 4 ways. They cram 4 people in a 2 bedroom apartment and charge the students double. It doesn't take a genius to notice that this is a cash grab/scam. Fuck this place and fuck getting scammed. All the good reviews are for the flight school, for the pilots, anyone can fly a plane but how many people can fix them? Take care of your students and stop scamming them.

I'm really grateful to be partnered up with my CFI Mike Cahill who was very helpful, professional, patient with me. Anytime I needed help or had a question, he was there for me whether he was working or on his day off. Personally, I felt like he went the extra mile for me to ensure I was successful passing my checkride and is a great representation of the excellence this flight school has to offer. All the staff I encountered with at this flight school were always friendly and helpful. The folks at dispatch are always welcoming, the other CFI's who helped me out with stagechecks and mocks were very helpful, and even the mechanics from Heck Air were friendly and helpful. Not once did I ever have any scheduling conflicts or cancellations. It helped that the school has a big fleet of aircraft that were always well maintained. Throughout my training, not once was I under the impression that this flight school, nor their staff were just trying to make a quick buck. They truly care about all their students and want to ensure they have all the tools necessary to be safe and successful pilots/renters. Thank you Melbourne Flight Training for making a huge aviation enthusiasts dream come true of becoming a pilot!

Five years ago I started a journey towards becoming a pilot. That journey began at First Landings…read moreand I could not be more thankful. The school is run by a team of professionals that take your flight training as far as you want to go with a pace that matches your lifestyle. The rates for training beat out the competitors while delivering a product that is more personal and productive. The training area is right next to First Landing's home airport (X04) and this is a huge advantage. While training you do not have to waste money and time getting to where you need to practice. The airport is also between several other airports making it an ideal training environment. I pursued my Instrument, Commercial, Flight Instructor, Instrument Flight Instructor, and sport plane Instructor licenses from First Landings. While doing so I was able to compare my experiences with students at other schools. What I found was that not only did I save money, but my training was more productive. Following this I taught for First Landings for several years as a Flight Instructor. The experiences I have gained there have been invaluable in making me the pilot I am today. Thanks to these experiences at First Landings my peers and I are all working for the airlines living the dreams we set out for. If you are looking for a flight school this is the one and there is no better time to start your journey with the schothat will make your dreams a reality.
